  1. See my video guide, your finger is in the wrong spot would be my guess. 8:20 (watch it in HD!)

    Vf-0 vs SV-51

I think the 0S will fit in more displays than the CF SV-51 also -
  3. No, Matchbox made the Invid Scout and Invid Storm Trooper mechs but not the inorganics. They're certainly unique but I think they'd be a little cooler if they looked like they had some weaponry
  4. Why wouldn't they milk the mold?

    Vf-0 vs SV-51

I think the SV-51 is the better toy but the VF-0S is a lot more heroic than a CF SV-51.
  6. My understanding is that their license expired long ago but they renewed it recently.
  7. Thank you for checking it out! I'm probably going to add a fighter mode comparison pic next week but there is a battroid mode pic for now. Here's another sample pic for those who haven't visited yet: I think I also have a pretty decent conspiracy in the review regarding why we got a VF-X paint scheme....
  8. Special thanks to ff95gj for letting me incorporate his pics into my latest review. It's posted now on anymoon and includes a video transformation guide and a video review both shot in 1080P. Check it -
  9. I'm trying to squeeze one in before my in-laws arrive Friday. I might have to post it this week and then post the videos next week or something.
  10. I've been playing with my toys lately too

    VF-25F Renewal

More diabolically, Bandai might release all the DX toys (RVF next), then do a release of the VF-25G/RVF-25 super parts, then give us the Alto/Michael Tornado parts then make us wait, then start releasing giftsets.

    VF-25F Renewal

Hey we don't know that yet, Bandai might squeeze in a VF-25F/S reissue right before the RVF drops.
  13. I had an 80s Vette and I swore I'd never own another car with a digital dashboard. The gauges on the left and right on this one are analog right? I don't understand why they're calling it "Stingray" but it seems to have nothing in common with the late 60s Vette stylistically.
  14. I vote for a thread lock
  15. You know karma will now make it impossible for you to get one right?
  16. I just opened mine up tonight and started playing with it. I love this toy and I really dig the YF-29 all together (although the fast packs seem like overkill).

    Regult Model

    suhhhhhhhhhweeet
  18. Three 17Ds? one for each mode? Man, I envy the space you guys must have. I'm on a temporary buying hiatus as I'm totally out of places to put things (my "nerdery" was converted to a "nursery" which didn't help).
  19. Does anyone know where I can get dimensions for the Macross Frontier valks? There aren't many over at the Macross Mecha Manual so it's going to be hard for me to calculate true scales on those. Looks like I could probably do it for fighter mode though.
  20. I know it's a common gray market techinque to deliberately misstate the value of goods but isn't that technically illegal? In my experience, once a company gets reputable enough, it starts caring about legal matters more as it has more to lose. Generally emails to the effect of "Hey, I need your help skirting the laws of my nation" have very low success rates. (Erp, Major Focker beat me to it). Too much pissing and moaning about Bandai lately. We get it... you got first world problems. Lupin's quest is starting to get as annoying as my quest against the collar on the V2's battroid mode. Stupid collar... looks like a robo-priest. Back off topic: Now, back on topic, I was just transforming my 171 and I really hate what they did with the metal swing bar that locks the legs in place. It's clumsy and it doesn't feel like it really gets in the groove even after a ton of massaging.
  21. Try my vf17 post. Ill do another true scale comparison with the Bandai toys and some other Yamato toys when I post my vf4 review, the 171 will be included.
  22. There are fighter mode true scale pics on anymoon also... No company ever nails 1/60 perfectly... They just get it close enough not to really matter. I think the vf19 goes from1/55 in fighter to 1/66 in batroid so it aveages to 1/60.
  23. Not sure if I've done a true scale pic with Bandai toys lately (I should!) but here's a Yamato one:
