DX VF-1 FTW!

I always get charged up front for my CDJapan preorders... is that because I'm using Paypal? I forget how this works.

Mine is a gappy mess compared to some of the other photos I've seen on here. Sigh... I just spent an hour trying to transform it back and forth to get rid of the gaps and every time I have gaps but not always the same gaps. Also, is it just me or does the shield look like it ascends as it goes to the rear of the craft? Edit- 30 minutes later it now looks acceptable... man, that was a struggle.

Yeah, that line is dead as it was terrible. I would love to see Hi-Metal grow to cover Frontier and other lines though but I think that would be a very long time from now.

It's too soon to be discouraged, all recent Bandai releasea have been available around release date.

From everything I've seen, these toys are incredibly different for being of the same vehicle. Is it really just the 'high speed' mode that has people saying Arcadia was copied? Do we even know if it wasn't the same shop that did both toys? Afterall, the VF-17 and VF-171 were designed by the same group.

Yep, I think the V1 MacF offerings were Bandai's real wake-up call but they have responded very nicely. Perhaps they've gotten a little too intricate for their own good.

They can't produce more, it's a, licensing thing but they can do it every year.

You know the Bandai evolution is probably just going from using the Gundam B team and rookies to paying the same teams Yamato did to design their products.

Mine has finally arrived! Tomorrow I will begin putting the Arcadia and Bandai through their paces... but it will probably take a couple weeks to get it all done... anymoon is many things... but it's not fast.

I heard Bandai wanted to release this toy a long time ago and it caused bad blood when Arcadia released their YF-19 toy. I don't know who actually designed the VF-19Advance for Bandai but nobody should think the Bandai folks played with the Arcadia toy while designing the Bandai product. The Bandai product design was done before the Arcadia was released. That's not to say that the Bandai folks couldn't have seen the CAD work done for Yamato and lifted some elements from that, perhaps under the impression that that toy died with Yamato.

Nah, look at the secondary prices, demand for a new vf1 is building. It's only a matter of time.

They released the DYRL vf1A toys last go around so not much of a surprise.

The V2 is nearly 7 years old now...
