so... any consensus, yet, on whether the enemy in Frontier is finally the Supervision-Army or some Protoculture-biodroids/remnants? -
fwiw, Max's 1S was blue-striped even in the original Perfect Edition dvd. Just that the lighting inside the battleship changed when Max went in deeper just before Milia ambushed him. At any rate, here's the Roy-scene: I think this is the Hikaru-scene you're talking about:

A couple more snaps for the night. Once again, left-side is the original Perfect Edition R2J and the right-side is the new Remastered-Edition R2J. You guys should be quite alot familiar with these as they are the infamous animation-scenes coloring-goof of the Max-1A turning half-Hikaru during his melee Ayup! They've finally fixed the coloring-goof in the remastered-version.

I just sampled the first few scenes, but already the video-remastering on this new version is just damn quite AMAZING!!! Very clean-er, more vivid and very clear-er. here's a teaser comparo-png (left-side is original R2J, right-side is the remastered-R2J) B))

the stuff: contents of disc-1: contents of discs 2 and 3: comparison against the older R2J-release: Awesome!!! I'll try to do some comparo-png's later today or after x'mas.

1/60 perfect transforming vf-1 from yamato?
treatment replied to Shaggydog's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
awesome news! depressing for our wallets, but awesome nonetheless! A little question, tho: Is Yamato gonna package the new 1/60 VF-1 complete with the FAST-Packs like the original 1/60 Focker-Strike ? They also better not make Hikaru-1A bleached-white again. -
just an fyi. Somebody at AOD-forum already posted a couple of comparo-snapshots: http://www.animeondvd.com/forum/showpost.php?pid/595563/ I'll post mine as soon as my order arrives (next week, most likely).

Just make sure your dvd-player can actually play this Remastered-version since it is a Region-2 dvd. -

That's quite bizarre. I regularly order R2-J dvd's from Amazon-Japan and they ship promptly. Iirc, the only things that AmJ won't ship outside of Japan are toys/figures and PC/console games. Unfortunately, this HD-remastered DYRL is still an R2J-dvd (eg. it's neither hd-dvd nor blu-ray), so you'll need a multi-region player to play it. Those cheap Philips 5960 and 5982 dvd-players are way too easy to turn into a multi-region dvd-players, however. As such, HD-DVD discs/player does not currently have any region-coding, whereas Blu-Ray disc/players does. The US and Japan are both in Blu-Ray Region-A, however. That's only true for their respective HD-DVD and Blu-Ray discs. Regular dvd-playback are still region-coded. I'm not sure of the Toshiba HD-DVD players if they have a dvd region-hack, but I've read that the Samsung BD-players dvd-functionality can be made multi-region capable.

Well, that's it. As I stated earlier, these snapshots were from vol-1 only, since the rest of the OVA-volumes pretty much show the same video-0wn4g3d of the R2J-remastered version over Mangle's R1. enjoy and pray Mangle or BV-USA brings this Remastered-version boxset over to R1-land soon. Mangle's name is still listed in the credits of this R2J. oops! stragler pic. supposed to be in the first set : -

Welp! My copy finally arrived. I've delayed it for so long coz of, well, lack of money back in Aug. It's all worth it, tho. ehehehe! at any rate, here are some Movie-edition comparo-PNGs between the old R1 (left) and the R2J-remastered (right) : note: these are PNG's, so filesizes are prolly 800k+/- on avg. pics continued on next post...
