No issues with my switch and finding wifi either at home or at work, though I gotta say it downloads stuff pretty slow despite getting full-bars at home, especially when compared to my XB1 or laptop which are also on wireless. My experience might be skewed though, we have pretty robust wireless routers at work and at home I have a Pretty decent router I haven't tried it anywhere else though because when I'm not near a power outlet I'm always on Airplane mode and 70% brightness to save on battery life.

Yeah I didn't know they had a compact case either until after I was about to order mine and it popped up on amazon's similar items :0 https://www.amazon.com/Butterfox-Nintendo-Switch-Cartridge-Holders/dp/B06WLNWD29 I was also miffed that I couldn't fit the AC adapter. Really hope that somembody releases a slimmer adapter in the future so that I fit it i the case. You can pretty much alleviate the issue if you get an Anker Powercore+ 20100. It barely fits into the top compartment and can keep the switch running for quite a while. It's on sale for like 66 bucks on Amazon which is basically the cost of a game after tax :0 https://www.amazon.com/Anker-PowerCore-Ultra-High-Capacity-Portable/dp/B014ZO46LK

Man I really hope this game did well in Japan so that we can get more Vita Macross Goodness. I already completed the game twice (once on NA account, again on JP acct so I could get all the DLC) and I wouldn't mind completing it a third time if hell froze over and the game came to the switch.

I use the official Hori Screen protector which isn't glass but it works well. Which Butterfox case did you opt for? I got the longer one that allows you store the switch with joycons attached. Was torn between my current one and the even more compact one that has the joycons separate in the top compartment.

Yup as Sildani says nintendo switch official plastic has some sort of coating that gets eaten away by many vinyl adhesives. If you check nintendo switch reddit many members actually are painting their switch controllers I'm sure most people wouldn't want that and would rather wait for a more off-the-shelf mod. Right now you're only safe option for color variety is to get the neon blu/red joycons. If those aren't to your liking Nintendo will probably release other custom joycon colors in the future. If you don't wanna by new joycons I'm sure that down the road third parties will offer custom Joycon front/back colors that you can install with a simple screwdriver bit that fits the special screw heads.

I would have totally Preordered Unit 2 as well but I was really wary because I have so many ingrams already, like this guy :0 Now that they're releasing the obscure labors I am totally in for the series

yeah hefty markup on NY :/ like 3000 yen more than original. can't blame them though even Mandarake had it up for nearly the same and it sold instantly.

you can tell demand was super low. It's still open at amiami and HS lol

Oh God. If Arcadia released kit versions of all their products I probably couldn't resist... but my Macross Model Backlog is already YEARS LONG

lol i skipped the korok hunting but did all 120 shrines. parts farming is a bitch, especially the dragon scale/horn shards and the star fragments
-
Ancient core farming for the ancient armor is a bitch. Upgradig is just as bad. For L3 you need like 3 cores each again and for L4 you need like 2 giant cores each + star fragments. If you don't mind a lot of reloading, save before every guardian you fight and reload if it doesn't drop ur cores When I farmed cores I took this farming path after every blood moon 1. Akalla tower, paraglide towards northeast to the field of derelict guardians. 2x guardians to kill 2. Karahiko Village, Run outside the main entrance, turn left and go over a hill for 2x more guardian kills 3. Central Hyrule tower: drop down, kill 2x roamin guardians, then head inside Hyrule castle ground and slay all the guardians that have legs. 4. Teleport to all Modest / Major strength test shrines and kill the medium guardians, they all can drop cores as well and it's great for restocking weapons after the above farming With a few runs and some save scumming for each fight you can score enough cores to do anything pretty much. btw, aerial guardians also drop cores too but they always drop their pieces in bad places and they aren't easy mode like the legged guardians are (especially after you get master sword which is not supposed to break so long as you only use on calamity crap (guardians and bosses)

wow I didn't know the soldier's armor required lynel parts too. May have to upgrade a set for looks lol. Ancient armor is amazing when using guardian weaps. if you stack an attack potion + ancient set you do crazy dmg (the Ancient proficiency buff is like +80% dmg by itself lol)

If you happen to have a lot of rupies that beetle dude has different inventories for every stable he's at, meaning you can load up on arrows really quick. Like you can buy 30-ish arrows at each stable and have like 150+ arrows in no time
-
Only things I've needed Lynel parts for thus far is is Barbarian set upgrades. You need to start hitting white lynels to get decent drop rate on Lynel guts for the 3rd and 4th levels. The biggest draw is when you fight white / silver lynels they drop 2H clubs that do like 78 base dmg. (Spears do like 30 and 1h sword is 58) The lynel bows are all multishot, with savage lynel bows offering 32 x 3 at a minimum. Multishot arrows are the bomb when you use special arrows. Why settle for 1 ancient arrow when you can fire up to five. On a side note, lynels drop 1-2 10x shock arrow bundles per kill which is why I have so many god damn lightning arrows :0 Shields are nothing to call home for, but they are tough shields
-
Guardians are pretty trivial after a while. As for the Lynels, they are arguably the toughest bosses in the game. I had to farm lynels to get parts to upgrade the barbarian set but after maxxing out L4 on the barbarian sets I farm Lynels for their weapons which are better than even the Major Test Guardian Shrine weaps (white/silver lynel only) Lynel strategy differs from person to person. red and Blues are ez to kill if you have Stasis and urbosa. Just stasis and they do 2x urbosas and they pretty much dead. Prep Stasis+ is a must-have Have a lot of bows and arrows available Have max DPS (3 set barbarian, 3-set ancient if using guardian weaps or max attack pot) Basic Strat Stay short/med range so that lynel never uses his bow. When lynel charges, statis+ him and quickly headshot him to stagger After stagger, run in, get a hit, then run out while he does sweep melee. After sweep melee headshot him again. 2nd stagger usually results in long stagger where you can then climb on his back and hit him (does similar dmg to flurry rush) If Lynel has Sword/Shield If Lynel is sword and board follow basic strat but when he recovers from his first headshot you can just stay in close and do multiple Flurry rushes (his 1h sword attack is super easy to flurry rush) If Lynel has 2h Club Never try to flurry rush. Back off after he begins his spin attack animation and shoot his head to stagger and set-up a mount-attack If Lynel starts doing fire breath attack Rush at an angle to close in, then either prep for flurry rush (vs 1h) or retreat-headshot-mount atk (vs 2h) Silver/White Lynel does huge roar with Wind FX Sprint Far away to avoid blast, then afterwards do statis -> headshot -> close in.

If it's not cheaper than the Hi-metal Max 1J that just came out it's a super easy pass since the Hi-metals can easily do that same pose

Why settle for regular Ice Cubes when u can have MACROSS ICE CUBES
-
Honestly... no clue whatsoever. I'd buy Macross or Gundam anything at this point for the switch, especially considering how easy the eshop works.
-
I know right? I hate how fanbois keep telling me it had to be that way for 2-player. If I had to choose between using buttons as a dpad or using a dpad as buttons, I would've chosen using a dpad as buttons hands down as the better compromise. At this point I am holding off buying any sort of extra control peripheral for my switch. Maybe one day they'll release an L D-pad Joycon. More likely, we'll see a 3rd-party front-cover for the L Joy-con that uses a D-pad to hit the 4 contact pts vs an individual button for each. I wish more mobile game platforms had Amazing D-pads like the Neo Geo Pocket. That clicky 8-way thumb-pad was friggin amazing.
-
Agreed. I bought KOF 98 just to see how the button dpad works and it falls very, very short lol. basic back-forward charge moves on Garcia were hard enough. Trying to use Ryo and his ryu/ken moveset was nearly impossible.

Wow the 31J's just keep going up in price even on Madarake eh :0 Guess Mac D must be more popular than we thought
