The black hole bomb was Jupiter. The entire planet had been turned into one massive weapon, compressed to 1/30000 its normal size. Kazumi states this in episode 6, so I don't see how man could have populated it. I am going to have to watch episodes 2 and 3 of Top 2! just to see what I missed. As for the enemy, mankind's plan was to lure all the aliens to one spot and use the bomb. The aliens showed up in force in excess of 26,000,000,000 units before the bomb was to explode. I would think this is a little overkill for taking on a handful of ships numbering in the tens of thousands, but these guys were there for a purpose, and that was to wipe out humanity. So, when the black hole bomb went boom it turned the entire center of the galaxy into one huge assed black hole. While humanity was prepared for it and escaped, I do not think the aliens could have. Maybe on the outer fringes. Which brings up their methods of reproducing. If we go by what you are saying, then humanity would have been alerted to the increased amount of stars dying at one time. The aliens procreate by laying their eggs into the heart of a g-class yellow star. To even get their numbers back to where they may have once been would take a long time. I would think that humanity would have stationed outposts just to ensure that the alien menace was indeed dead. All in all, I do not think the new aliens are the same as the old ones. But they may be related to the insects of the original series. With three episodes to go, I guess we'll find out. However, if these Uchuu Kaiju are the original aliens, then that makes Noriko's and Kazumi's sacrifice at the end of the original show a waste. 323720[/snapback] The Jupiter point was made by the white haired chick in the early part of Episode 3. It maybe a red herring or simply just for wow factor. The reproduction part is VERY easly explained away. The speed of light. During humanity's recorded history we've seen few stars nova. How many have we seen just go dark? Besides the effects of the BHB would not even be viewable from earth for at about twice the time that Noriko and Amano spent traveling home. The aliens showed up with a fleet of 26+ trillion even with several thousand aliens born from a single star that's still several hundred million to several trillilion dead stars. That's quite a few for any single galaxy or galactic cluster. Any how we'll see, or not.

*note I've only seen the second episode from the first series* Yeah episode #3 was acutally really good. Nicely balancing characterization, background history, science, and action. The science was that time can be influenced be incredible negative tempertures. I've read SF books that used this theme. From what I've seen so far it looks like the BHB did kill ALOT of the aliens, but if we follow the ideas of the aliens being antibodies/insects then it may have been that it's taken them a long time to repopulate to even larger numbers. It also can be said that the BHB couldn't have gotten them all because the unvierse and the galaxy is simple to large a place to do so. SOoooo..... they may have been having a running battles with the aliens for hundreds of years. Jupiter being turned into a giant warship, partially destoryed, and then populated says to me that the battles have been large scale and long deadly ones. The lack of mention of EXTRA Solar colonies tell me that humanity still fears being found and or that those colonies have been destroyed by the aliens. Also the lack of Buster units not being built in decades tells me that the war is/was at a lull or humanity is being stupid. Still trying to figure out Nono's part in all of this besides the humorous robot T&A sidekick. Frankly I hope that the alien Buster Machine is a familar face.... er.... face plate.

Well I over reached. Didn't take into account how bogged down my comp. would get after I extracted the main body. *grk!* So I've dealt with slow down, numerous crashs, reducing the poly count while maintaining smoothness, AND adding details. *Sigh* ONLY good point is that I've been able to reduce the poly count down 100k. Unfortunatly I'm still over on my poly count by 50K(300K+ right now) and I've still got to add the 6 missile bays(only have to build 3 since it's mirrored), side thrusters(which are complete I just have to build the side and reduce their poly counts), the rear landing gear, the canopy, the little surface bits, and the minor tweaks before I call it finished. Not alot but it'll still be time consuming to do. Gonna have to decide what to do next...

Frankly even with the amount of input they wanted, and seemingly got, they'll saddly realize they are not in control of anything. They may have the naysay on somethings, but they'll lose if the exe want changes made. The fact that they brought in a writer, when they said that they already had a script written(or at least a majority of one), tells me they've already lost 90% of their creative control and have minimal input. I'm expecting another LoTR fanboy revolt and bashing at early release info and imagery. The best of for a Halo movie is that it doesn't get made.

UPS - 90% of the time the product is fine and within 1 day of predicted time, other 10% is slightly roughed up and late. FEDX - 95% of the time I've had excellent service and the deliver drone is personable, unless they are pressed for time. A couple of times I've had beat-up packages and 1 larger package was beat-up badly, had cuts, was crushed and clearly bent. I lucked out because it was a book of good thickness. Still wasn't happy though it cost me 60 bucks for that book and was a difficult find. DHL - Never had them. I've found that it generally depends on the box's size and labels on it. ALL of my anime boxs have been of virgin quality, but anything else has been abused somewhat.

The Cobalt commercials were/are really weird, because they show more of the new C6 'Vette than than the Cobalt. Never understood that at all, since the two cars are nothing alike. The new '06 Corvette rocks your face. Not too bad since I've reworked the top fusulege(blah!) and tossed in that rear groove. Right now I'm cleaning up the extracted main body and looking into adding the various details. The rear landing gear is gonna be tough and I decided not to bevel in that wrap-around black strip and the one that goes down the sides(though I may because it'll add extra visual depth and realism (LOL)). But I need to know whether the bottom black rectangles between the rear thruster cones are missile bays or not? Is that tapered hole in the bottom a thruster? And just how am I gonna deal with those side thrusters!?!

Sw33t! We've got the HERO mechs now we need the END and a couple of more 'bad guy' vehicles to play with. Just saw episode 11. Damn it actually has me begging for MORE! Just like a junkie needs his fix. Anemone was incredibly well introduced. Well paced and they made it a point to show her craziness in none blantant ways that suggest something else. Sure it's gonna be the typical clone clash, but damn they didn't waste ANYTIME getting straight and brutally to the point. Quite awsome! Totally loved the way they handled the fight quick, violent old fashion Getter Robo style at the end with her shouting "MELT! MELT! MELT the brain!" and jerking around like a 12 year old on a couple of cans of JOLT!!! That music just rocked during that fight. But try out maxing the volume and closing your eyes and just listen to Anemone's first appearance in the episode. All this Crest and Banner talk makes me want to build some of Empire ships and the Empires 'throne' system.

If it's only 2 episodes, I've not hear anything from the people involved, then it's iffy that it might get a US release. It's pretty hard to tell nowadays, especially when you've got stuff like BLAME! Ver.0.11 & the thorughly half-assed Yukikaze coming out. But then again this series has nearly always been fan driven. I am however VERY VERY disappointed that they had to use these 2 characters again especially after the authors words in BoTS2. I would've loved to see more of SPOOR and the places that the Empire controls.

Solid textures, just abit too noisy, low contrast, and far too much panel fading(throws you off). The model is in need of plenty of edge rounding to really bring it to life. Polishing both will really make thise shine.

I don't believe that the market has seen a 'cell' animation for well over 5 years, especially since well over 99% of it has been digital to begin with. Lucas will be in for a very nasty surprise when he does his research. I'm betting he'll first try some lame americanized samurai movie/show(ala Kill Bill) and God help us if he gets ahold of the EVA movie rights. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I just don't see him being able to connect enough at a social level in order to get the asian markets attention beyond his namesake.

Well I've been following the manga version since it came out and it's frankly 'Junk', until you hit the 150+ and then a sembalance of a plotline kicks into gear. It's mostly the author's standard 'stroke material' until then and even then it doesn't lessen. It's pretty much just a gory version of DragonBall and Naruto sans being in an SF genre instead. In a way it's kinda like HunterXHunter except drawn better. I do like how the manga's author deals with repeative places & items though! All 3d baby!!!

*chuckles humourously* bob joe mac, you don't seem to realize that Naoki Urasawa also did 20th Century Boys. He's done a small host of great works that have made been made into anime. But if you like Monster then you'll like his current Pluto manga which has some roots in the same universe. Which is something I REALLY want him to pursue as a mangka! His own interconnected universe!!! It's past time.

Yep! One in the same. Monster is definately one of the better manga/anime storys out there. Mainly because it's written so well and their are few japanese cultural fixations. Gotta love the locations!

I just finished watching episode 7. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Poor kid, but it was hilariously true at the same time. God that reminds me of some of the same poo I use to pull on others and had pulled on me when I was back in school! Great ep, awsomely blended between the plot and the silliness while still telling several sides of the story at once. Probably the best ep. so far!
