  1. I'd love to get one of these, but I can only imagine what my wife would say when I opened it up  Vostok 7
  2. If you're worried about science fiction, we DID talk about Global Warming... Vostok 7
  3. Yes, according to the Hory Froating Head Design Works, the sensor unit folds flat to the underside when the Super packs aren't installed. Makes for a nice streamlined fighter mode. I don't mind paying 3000 yen more for such a work of beauty. Can't wait for the VE-1 either. Vostok 7
  4. Is the G a pass? Other than the S Armored (which I have on pre-order) and the RVF, it's really the only other VF-25 I want, and I'm tempted to get one now while the exchange rate is decent. HLJ is on "low stock". Vostok 7
  5. YAY!!! *drool* Vostok 7
  6. Global Warming, what what? Vostok 7
  7. Wow, the Beagle Bartley looks fantastic. I can not wait to see how they do with the Blowsperior! Vostok 7
  8. CF is all brown with white trim, Kakizaki is white with patches of brown. BIG difference. That's like saying that Max's TV-1A is close enough to the TV-1J, so they shouldn't bother. Vostok 7
  9. Always been a Fathom fan, but I just don't see Megan Fox as Aspen. Dunno why. Didn't know Michael Turner was dead I wonder if that makes my first edition bound Fathom collection worth something. I can't remember, but it might be signed. Vostok 7
  10. The inverse is already trading at over 0.100:1 so it'll be there soon. Vostok 7
  11. 99.08:1 today. *rubs hands together greedily* Vostok 7
  12. Same here. I might get the G and the RVF as well, though, as I like them too. Hopefully the new design they are hinting at is non-bendy Gashapon head lasers. Vostok 7
  13. According to Nissan, the new Silvia was scrapped by Carlos Gnosen as part of a cost savings effort. Yet their plans for a rebadged Dodge Ram are still in full effect... And the new Toyobaru/Subayota venture will be more like a 2.5RS meets an AE86 Corolla. Vostok 7
  14. Toyota and Subaru are joint working on a lightweight (<3000lb) RWD sports car that should be out in the next couple years. Nissan was working on a new Silvia to compete but apparently has scrapped the project (I wouldn't say that was the smartest move, but whatever). Vostok 7
  15. 1/60 Super/Strike parts are on sale at HLJ. Didn't know they were even available. My wife will want to have words with you later Vostok 7
  16. I'd be happier with the Blowsperior, myself, but either would be cool. Vostok 7
  17. Thanks for all your cancellations, guys, there goes any chance of getting anything else made in this line. Vostok 7
  18. Yen is currently 98.5:1! Woot woot! Vostok 7
  19. So it is Houquet's Bartley, then. Vostok 7
  20. Well, the silhouette is most definitely of a Bartley. Problem is, it wouldn't be much of a 'secret item' since we pretty much know it's coming. Vostok 7
  21. Oh god, not another Dark Lord of the Sith. Graham is bad enough! Vostok 7
  22. 505thAirborne, I was incorrect, the DYRL version (2012 refit) is actually slightly shorter than the original TV version (1210m TV vs. 1200m DYRL), but is significantly wider (600m DYRL vs. 496m TV). I understand you to some extent, but canonically the version portrayed in DYRL is actually based on the 2012 post-SW1 refit of the SDF-1, hence the ARMDs and other features. So there were two different versions canonically, that were as different as the DYRL and TV versions. The reason DYRL shows the 2012 Refit SDF-1 being in SW-1 is because DYRL is a "movie within a story", and similar to how Mac0 valks look more futuristic than the old TV show valks (because the animation technology is more advanced now, allowing more detail), DYRL's designs are all based on post-SW1 technology. So beyond the obvious differences in animation, the reference artwork is different because DYRL is a "dramatization" of SW-1 based on versions of the valkyries and the SDF-1 that was known when the "movie within a story" was supposed to have been made (in the 2040s). What I'm saying is, really, that if Yamato was to "merge" the two designs in order to make everyone happy, it would probably give everyone on these boards brain aneurysms from the sheer audacity they would have to destroy known canon in order to just sell a product. 23. It's weird, I liked the streamlined less chunky look of the TV version, but I like the ARMDs. But then I also like the whole aircraft carriers in space thing (total Battleship Yamato reference!). IMO the greeblies on the DYRL SDF-1 and it's chunky look are just a little over the top in my opinion (though I have to say, Yamato's prototype looks more streamlined than the artwork). I also prefer the more military-gray coloring of the DYRL version over the bright white and blue of the TV version. Vostok 7
  24. The DYRL (aka 2012 Refit) is a little longer and wider than the original. Vostok 7
  25. The head is also "squat" looking comparatively. The whole v1 looks chunky and squashed in just about every mode vs the v2 which looks longer, more elegant and streamlined. Vostok 7
