Alas! Graham lives, when are you going to hook us up with that 1% of info. I am so anxious to see what your report says.

Which toy (singular) in your vast collection do you cherish the most?
kanedaestes replied to Ratchet's topic in Toys
My 1/60 YF-19, and anyone one of my 1/48 valks. Those are my cherished ones in the event of a fire that's what i would choose. -
Oh I thought she was shorter, yeah some boots and some low angles and she would have been perfect

Back when Whedon was in charge of the Wonder Woman flim i was hoping he was going to cast her too sinced they had both worked together on Firefly/ Serentity. She is beautiful and i can see her going toe to toe with people. She would have been perfect albiet a little short.

He was flying the VF-1S by that time. He was piloting it before they left earth for a second time, so you never actually see his VF-1J with the Super upgrade.

That fake release is hilarious, they didn't even spell yamato right, they called it yamata in there. Lol

Apparently not the enitre run of Shin VF-0As had the new shoulders but the new VF-0S ghost combo will all have them.

I love how this show pays respect to the Superman film and TV legacy. Recent Dean Cain guest starred as a immotral killer. His name was Carl or Chris Knox or C.K. (Clark Kent). Later Helen Slater the original Supergirl from that terrible movie is to be on the show. I love that it is so cool to me to see the respect and homages to those that came before.

And now the waiting begins. All of Macrossworld goes silent as we wait for the news that probably wont come for another 2 or 3 days about the outcome of this meeting. Dammit i need to find something to do to kill time.

Sorry i didn't mean to say those weren't as important, honestly i forgot about them and Blade 2 was the only one that came to mind. I too love Rodriguez, i think he is a genius. I look forward to any and all project done by those two. Planet Terror was amazing.

I see your point and do understand but i like my VF-1s big, they look so nice next to everything else i have.

Also look into Yoko Kanno's Macross Plus sets. Some of the best overall music i have ever heard in any genre.

Who is the best pilot in Macross universe
kanedaestes replied to Isamu test pilot's topic in Movies and TV Series
It's obvious that Max is the best overall but most of the others have their traits that make them great. Max did save some folks a couple of times but was focused on the enemy most of the times. I remember him hunting folks down while New Macross City was burning. Actually now that i think of it he never really was like that. During the fight with Milia he was order to break off on his own to see if he was targeted. Only during DYRL was he really ever doing his own thing most of the time he was in formation working as a team. I like Hikaru because he shows progression, natural progression as a fighter from not being able to really fire on folks to being an Ace by the end. Focker was always good from what we have seen, they never really got into his early years. Isamu is just crazy but i loved that too. Those are my top choices in a nutshell, oh and yes Milia is there too. Basara is okay as far as i am concerned, dodging enemy fire and singing does make him pretty good, but i would have loved to see what he would have been like as a fighter pilot. The death of others has a different effect on people. Some people can kill and some can't. As someone currently in the miltary i have heard many stories of people when in actual combat freak out and can't handle the fact they took someone's life. Who is to say that Basara could take people down and still be as good as a pilot as he is singing? That's just my two cents. -
Oh yeah, patience and timing. And no retarded auto counter for everything like DOA, their are counters in Tekken but you have to know what you are doing before you do them. And its way more fluid as far as controls go than Soul Caliber which is funny because they are both done by the same company.
-
Yes Tekken is the king of 3D fighters. It makes the most sense and has always given me the most enjoyment when i systematically tear people apart.
-
I think the general wants on the thread are 1/60 VF-1 (which i don't know why, sure it will be in scale but i love my toys big screw a smaller scale, but that is just my opinion and i doubt yamato will do it as they said they won't), SDF-1. and obviously the ever elusive..... VF-4 Lightning, Yamato get on that now! I will be a loyal servent forever for that and a VF-5000

Uh hello?? Tekken is still very much in the game with Tekken 5 being huge in 05, and Tekken 6 coming out soon. Also i remember the dreadful Street Fighter EX series. Street Fighter just doesn't translate well into a 3D realm. How many 3D games do you know can successfully pull of fireballs, spinkicks, and all the other stuff? They can't plus if it 3D they will be trying to make the camera move around during those moves which throws off orientation of the fight. The Dragon Ball Z games have been somewhat close to a decent rendition in 3D but the combo system lack because of it. It needs to remain 2D, seeing as how Guilty Gear is successful and so is King Of Fighters. And let's not forget the huge popularity of Capcom vs Marvel 2, i still play that game to this day.

The first one was fun and cool, I loved Ron Pearlman. I knew that they planned a second one from the get go but as it was mentioned before it was a hard sell. I think it will be great. Also if anyone follows Kevin Smith he has the secret to constantly making films that arent box office hits. If Del Toro has a low budget and can double the profit off the movie studios will allow him to do whatever he wants. So if he makes it with only 50 mil, and makes a profit then he can make whatever. That's why certain movies have sequels that you don't think they should because they always make back their money. It is when you do a huge production and it fails is when studios become real hesitant about making sequels. Like Superman Returns barely made enough to just break even. Now Clerks 2 only made 10 million dollars and by all accounts is looked at as a failure, but when you see that he only spent 5 mil to make it, it is actually successful in a small way. I think that is why Hellboy worked. It wasn't too expensive and made most of it's money back. So now they can do a sequel, plus Del Toro has critcal acclaim, or rather he has more of it now than he did when he made the first one. Because before the first HB all he had under his belt anyone cared for was Blade 2.

OMG OMG OMG!!!! I hope it's 2D as well. Seeing as how King Of Fighters is it should be too. Just imagine the greatness, one of the most influential series of all times returns hopefully better than ever!!
-
Oh i am glad it was i am happy. I think a lot of people are just wondering why it is released like that seeing as how it never once appeared like that in the show. Some people just have questions, like maybe it was featured like that else where.
-
I never said they didn't i was saying the Hikaru's VF-1J never had them on the show but always seems be released with them is all.
-
Ask about a VF-4, and a possible VF-5000. That would be heavan for me. As always thanks Graham.
-
And i am not sure why the VF-1js are always packaged with FPs because it is true it never appeared like that in SDFM or DYRL, but i guess since it is the most recognizable valk from the show (there is a debate between this and the skull one, but i say the 1J because it is in the opening of every episode) and FPs are a hot commodity that they would just package them together to kill two birds with one stone, i could be wrong though.,
-
Also all fastpacks have the red kite sign, DYRL has more custom design for the pilots as far as fighter and accessory goes, but in SDFM it is all pretty generic except for the stars and even then the just usually get a special paint but everything else is the same as other valks
