  1. No problem, I may not own a vast collection of Yamato Valks but I know someone that does (Valkyrie Magnus) and I am happy taking pics of them because I may not get a chance to add one to my collection. Don't sell yourself short, your shots are great! I really like the direction you are taking with your photos.
  2. Thank you, I try to do my best. haha! I still need don't have a DYRL VF-1S Roy, of VF-1A max or Kaz. All I have a pictures... The 1As were trying out the head laseer slicked back look. I wish these were mine Falcon18, these are part of Valkyrie Magnus' collection. I should have noted that in my initial post. He asked me to take some shots of some of his collection. Thank you and yes they are. I need to find more. Thank you. The black background & lighting help the valks pop in the photo and a little bit of photoshop.
  3. Great shots Old Man! I really like the shot of artwork on the Monster on your flickr page.
  4. Standing around looking cool...
  5. I am with you there... stands, valks... and camera gear...
  6. F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5...
  7. Excellent choices of cars. I see what you did there, subtle very nice! Thanks Duymon, I'll give that a try tonight.
  8. Thank you everyone, glad you like them. @Duymon: Great shot (I am going to have change my setup slightly to take a shot like that) and the panel lining looks amazing! @KH355hamdi: Very nice desk, I see an Aventador and is the silver car an Agera-R?
  9. Thank you. I know what you mean, I was getting frustrated every time I would change the valk position, take a shot and notice Leon is in drunk pilot pose. I wasn't too keen about Battroid mode too, but now it has grown on me now that I it in hand. I'll keep in Battroid mode for now. My next purchase, pack of blu-tac. Thank you. Haha, no problem. I liked how the lines flowed with the tailfins pointed toward the body.
  10. Here's a few of the pics I took, and yes I didn't snap down the chest completely as you will see in a couple of the Battroid pics. Enjoy.
  11. Haha ok. I am working on processing the photos from the YF-30 shoot. MJ's weathered VF-30 is going to look amazing, can't wait to see that too.
  12. I don't have a v1 VF-27 but from what I have read it was bad. I started collecting late and in a way I am sort of lucky with Frontier stuff and the Yamato releases I completely missed out on. The Frontier renewals were already in the market when I started and reading the reviews for the Frontier v1s and they were ok for the time but no where as good as they could/should have been. Yes I am not the only one. I keep my VF-27 in fighter mode too. I bought a 2nd VF-27 v1.5 because it was a good deal. When I get my display cases up, I'll have one in Battroid and the other in fighter mode. btw: your son must have some really awesome toys!
  13. Great collections everyone! Those JMs are so awesome! One day I'll add one or 2 to my collection. I think I am the only person that likes the VF-27, well the VF-27 1.5 version. Granted it could have been better engineered but I like how it has a sinister bird of prey look.
  14. I finally got my YF-30 yesterday, but didn't get a chance to open it till today because I wasn't feeling well yesterday and passed out. I really like it and for some reason I was expecting it to be a bit larger that it is... All the joints are tight, it holds poses well and the braces are not always needed. Overall I am happy with it.
  15. Oops I missed that image, I was too caught up looking at the other pics.
  16. Thanks for the write up. Are there hard plastic versions of the head lasers included?
  17. Thanks for the update CY.
  18. I just got a call from FedEX (New York area code), they were just calling to confirm my package. The FedEx person on the phone said my contents of overseas shipment were listed as plastic model kits and I said that was correct they are plastic scale models of airplanes. She then said ok, and they will be released from customs, shipped out and will hopefully see them tomorrow. I am puzzled at what was customs hold for? Nippon-Yasan didn't fill out the description properly or maybe something else is in the shipping box?
  19. Haha do it anyway! My co-workers are used to me swoooshing things around at my desk. You'll probably get yours before me, mine is stuck in Memphis right now. They better take it on a tour of Graceland and I hoping they don't decide to open the boxes for inspection. It would be awesome, the entire office would shut down for swooshing session. That's good to know about the articulated hands. So far its mostly is positive with a few minor issues on the 30. I'll need to check this out.
  20. What are everyone's thoughts and impressions of the YF-30 now that you have it in hand?
  21. I just got off the phone with a Fedex international CSR, after talking to her and asking about the status of my order. I still have no clue what is going with it. She said the description on the invoice listed it as a plastic model, I confirmed that is what that box should contain and then she asked for my phone number in case they had further questions? I then asked how long the delay would take, and said that the delivery commitment is by end of day Wednesday 8/13... Sigh
  22. Mine is still sitting in Memphis...
  23. Just got the same notification, the note says "Shipment requires a Commerical Invoice". https://smallbusiness.fedex.com/international/documents/tips I hope this gets sorted out quickly, I am off from work tomorrow and it would be great to have it delivered then.
  24. No thank you for letting me photograph them. I might ask you to bring a few back over.
