Yeah HLJ seems really slow to process shipments now. I just had the VF-0 gerwalk and a 1/72 VF-1 black aces shipped, but I have a bunch waiting in warehouse: PLAMAX VF-1S Strike, PLAMAX VF-1S Battroid, HG Fire Valkyrie, Glaug, 3 VF-1A Super, PLAMAX Fire Valkyrie, Mass Production Queadluun Rau, PLAMAX VF-1A Max, VF-11 Thunderbolt w/ Rocket Booster, VF-171 Rim World Model, and 2 issues of Macross Mechanics. I dread the shipping. Probably have to break it up into multiple shipments over time.

Unless I'm mistaken, the HG vf-31 is not released yet.

Yeah I have 3 of the 1/72 I think. If I remember right, the 1/72 has 4 version options. For sure, will want to do 1 of each scale as a non-super. The tail markings are very cool on these. Not sure what to do with the leftover super parts though.

I have 2 1/48 black aces, but the kit provides options for 5 schemes...🤔

I could maybe understand holding off on battroids since Hasegawa has the Miria and now the Max super battroids coming out. But even then, the approaches are so wildly different... But I do not at all understand holding off on the fighters since Hasegawa's Max/Miria set is so old now.

My habit of getting 3 of each release is starting to look... ill-advised.

Other than Super/Strike versions, I guess the only real thing left to do is VF-1J Max/Miria and maybe movie versions? Possibly an all-in-one combo pack like they're doing for the fighter. They haven't done VF-1J Max/Miria for the fighter kit though... which is puzzling.

Oh my! I've been waiting for this announcement for a while. I much prefer the Hasegawa styling and don't really care about posing, so this is a must buy for me. Good to finally add a VF-1J Max to the thin assortment of other Hasegawa battroids. Can't wait to see the box art!

Worth buying the mag for alone? Or is there other Macross stuff in the issue?

Well crap. I wish I'd known. I would have ordered two. Now it's marked discontinued at HLJ. I'll have to get a second one elsewhere.

I want it for the Kakizaki decals and the box art. I'll pay extra if I have to.

Japan only web exclusive or something.

Do we know if the Kakizaki unit is out as well, assuming one can figure out how to obtain one?

I ordered 3 decals along with 3 of each kit. When the kits and decals got released, kits went straight to backorder and i got nothing, but the decal order was fulfilled. A little while later, kits still backordered, but decals sitting there in stock. So I tried ordering another 3, to see what would happen. They went ahead and fulfilled the order, despite my other 3 sets still sitting there in private warehouse. So if they were ok with it, I feel clear conscience

I did. I did order the VF-22s on day one. I actually got 6 sets of the decals from HLJ, but 0 of the kits. 🤣

Ordered one of each. Which isn't super helpful as I like to get 3 of each. But I'm likely to get all mine local since HLJ rarely comes through for me. I still haven't gotten any of the Max/Miria VF-22s I ordered.

I'm thinking it was designed with close quarters combat in mind, for dense urban environments. I don't know if we ever really see it used that way, but it makes sense.

Really wish they'd put work into a Spartan, now that they could use the design for both 1/72 and 1/100 scale kits.
