  1. Ahh, cool. Thanks for the link! I must have this now!
  2. Cool project aaajin, You've done what I want to do with 1/72 Valks, that being have them in fighter and 'roid mode side by each. Anyone out there have a cleaner image of this 'roid or a link to specs?
  3. The XJ is still my favourite of the family. The two door sport for example caught my eye as a teen when we had the Mustangs and firebirds roaming the streets. That says alot about the rough appeal. The product is so popular now that the niche appeal is somewhat depleted, so I can appreciate your desire to own those "classics". On the srt 8... My dad had a 2008 that was modified up to a point where the 6.1 would hypothetically turn out 500 hp. Driving it felt like getting kicked in the stomach when you stomped on it. Highly recommended. He kept that ride for 5 years... A record for him who went through new vehicles every 2 on average. That is just testament to the awesomeness!
  4. Since we're talking Jeeps: I bought my first Jeep used, a 2008 KK sport in Black. Loved that thing. Then my girlfriend (now my wife) almost immediately claimed it as her own. So I bought a 2010 Grand Cherokee Laredo AWD and loved every minute of the time I had it... until I got my '14 Ram Sport. Now my wife complains the 3.07 diffs in her WK don't "go fast" like her 3.73 diff KK she stole from me back in 2010. LOL. We've been a Jeep family for a long while now, it all started with a 2000 4.7 Grand Cherokee my dad bought to lift and go off road with.At one point all five of us owned a Jeep in some shape or form, now I'm the odd one out with my Ram. At least it is still a 4x4? Growing up in the "Motor City" of Ontario, I'd love to get my hands on a vette, any model. I just don't have the garage space anymore!
  5. Hopefully we'll see a whack ton of new space goodies from the newer Star Wars movies coming out ( I almost wrote "films" LOL). I haven't bought any of the Fine Molds stuff yet, too many other things for me to buy! That Hasegawa link is awesome Noyhauser, I like that bigger companies like Hase' and Revell AG are opening up to the public and connecting with their consumers in this way.
  6. Since this thread has been restored to current status: ^THIS!!! I won't say that I would ever attempt this, but it seems a shame not to try since I have the space. Lots of 1/350 goodies eh? I must consult eBay.
  7. Wow that Yamato is spectacular so far. Very fine work! A hand-made articulating figure is quite the daunting project. I think you're pretty brave and motivated to get that far along with it. I will be checking back to see more for sure! that is a cool project.
  8. Here is to hoping you have a full recovery from your spider bite. They can be nasty little buggars, sneaking up on you in your sleep!
  9. Looks great man, I always wondered how the Wave kit stacked up against the Hase'. I have the Hase' built as an "A", maybe after the Armoured "S" I have i'll give the Wave kit a go. Nice work on the panel lining, as long as it is neat and doesn't bleed into the surrounding paint work then I think it's nice. I think grey might have been a decent choice, but ultimately black looks better because of the stark contrast already provided by the scheme in question. Maybe on a lo-viz scheme like the "A" I would try for a medium to dark grey panel line ink/wash. I don't see any evidence of mould seams or part separation lines, so good job on conquering those before paint. That is such an important part of modelling that some do not pay enough attention too. Going over a seam 2 or 3 times is absolutely worth it when you get paint on it and it looks like it was never there. Excellent job on the feet. the gradation is nice and smooth, and I bet looks killer in person. The photography might be accentuating that tone difference a bit, but I run into that all the time with digital photos and I think that is where Jefuemon's advice will pay off for you. Cheers from 2 hrs west down the 401.
  10. Yeah, really, really nice. Great work on the modifications to the model, that can be a daunting task that requires a certain vision and bravery.
  11. Yes to that one too. The teal hue is nice.
  12. I think it looks right in the first picture, but maybe it is the lighting that is throwing it off in the second pic. That being said I am far from an inbit scholar so take my advice with a grain of salt. I'm still happy to watch your progress however.
  13. Incredible! I hope to see more of your work soon. Thanks for posting and contributing to the many awesome models here.
  14. Looks like it's in pretty good shape too, good score derex! You have to love eBay sometimes...
  15. Just checking in to show off my latest haul, delivered from Japan just minutes ago.
  16. That thing is so cool. On my wishlist is a collection of the variants in 1/72. It's great to see it modelled in a mainstream scale though, it really looks like a beautiful cast.
  17. And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead.
  18. It is my favourite of the bunch, I love the EWS and Recon types from any genre. I think I'll show this Hasegawa fighter next to my Bandai Battroid eventually! Ordered this and the Michael... Have to make the shipping cost worthwhile.
  19. Well you know I'M glad to see this getting some more attention!
  20. Looks like you've been super busy with super D figs. I'm glad the chrome plating fad is over with. It was explained to me once after I asked "How can you chrome plastic?".
  21. Definitely looks the part of a tank destroyer. Projects like these are so refreshing!
  22. Looks nice and clean otherwise. Was there just a huge build up of release there where it peeled?
  23. I'm floored by your compliment, thanks very much Chris.
  24. Yeah, bought the testors when I was younger and even as a kid I knew it was garbage. I don't own it but I would guess the Hasegawa is the best out there now. RS models and Valom have been putting out some other early US Navy WW2 aircraft kits so keep your eyes peeled for a release. I've been meaning to get the Valom Devastator too.
