1. You're totally right. I'm curious as to why Toyota and Nissan haven't stepped up with a heavy towing diesel. When they do that, the big three are in trouble.
2. FM3 was actually the last FM game I played. I disliked how few units you could field at a time. I loved 1, 2 and Gunhazard though. Never did give FM Alternative a chance, although I always planned on doing so.
3. So how many MS' do you usually fight againts in a given mission? From the screenshots it looked like you only go up against one or two at a time.
4. I don't keep up with the Front Mission series aymore, but I'm guessing it has english menus like the earlier ones. Not hard to import and play at all, I played through 1 and 2 in Japanese.
5. 80's Toyota pickup. Best trucks ever.
6. My sentiments exactly. But hey, at least Syriana won something.
7. I could be wrong, but I'm guessing Lambo is liek most high end car companies in that you can request a car in any color you want.
8. As opposed to, say, Final Fantasy? 376716 With a little trial an error (or even better, a FAQ) it doesn't take long to figure out the commands. I prefer Giren's Greed or the Front Mission series, personally.
9. At least it's a high quality paintjob.
10. Licensng will be the big issue. Not to mention the fact that the SRW series is pretty damn boring, and not to mention easily playable in Japanese.
11. Yeah, I do too. So much for that argument. As for Mac and Linux zealotry vs. Windows... the reason is probably because Mac and Linux users actually have something to be proud of with their operating systems.
12. If Harmony Gold is evil, then you should probably turn off your computer and chuck it in the trash because Microsoft is evil as well. Most companies are "evil" and just because fanboys find it easier to pick on HG doesn't mean they're any more right in doing so or can parade around thinking they're some morally justified individual.
13. In the mid-80's Callaway also made a limited run of Alfa Romeo GVT6's, which were very cool and now quite rare (only around 30 were made). Nowadays the cars aren't that impressive, but at the time they were. The story is that Callaway got into the Corvette business because GM was impressed by their turbo GTV6, which would embarass the C4's on the track.
14. Are we talking about the same game? Because $65 is a lot more than $12. Maybe it was just a sale... a shame, I would have bought it at $12, but $65 is a bit much. 375979 Yup, that's the game I was talking about. It was part of their New Years sale. $65 IS way too much, the game is fun and has some replayability (the hard mode has some cool MSV enemies, and you have the ability to replay the levels in a variety of OYW mecha-- like the Alex) but it's not worth $65. I would say keep your eyes open for it at a decent price on eBay or otherwise, the game didn't sell nearly as much as planned (and many copies were returned in the days following) so it should turn up in other sales as well.
15. Assuming this thread is a joke, it's the funniest joke we've had around here in a long time.
16. Thanks for that tip, as I haven't played that one. The quality of Gundam games is so hit or miss that I've avoided importing unless I get confirmation that I'm not getting a game like Zeonic Front. I've only imported AEUG vs. Titans, Alliance vs. Zaft, and Battle Tactics. 375894 Play-asia was selling it for about $12, which is well worth it. Might want to check it out, it bombed HARD in Japan so I'm not sure if it's going to make it's way over here.
17. I haven't been too impressed by the screenshots. While the idea of making your own pilot and having him go through various battles is cool, judging by the screenshots it looks like you only fight one or two mobile suits at a time? The last 3D Gundam game, Project Pegasus/ One Year War was actually pretty damned good.. if a bit short.
18. I've watched an episode, and it was horrible. Dumb script, bad voice acting and just all around stupid as hell.
19. My first thought was that it was a heavily modified C5. The front end looks like the typical kit car style rip off design.
20. The movie doesn't need to explain the cuases for the war, the point is that innocent people get f'ed by war. I fail to see why you insist on putting some Pro-Japanese slant on it. It's a movie that could have taken place in just about any war-- the point isn't the specific war, but the effect that war (in general) has on the innocent. Ever been to Hiroshima Peace Park? It has a fairly elaborate museum documenting the atomic bomb and it's dropping on the city of Hiroshima. The point isn't to say "Dur, look what the Americans did, the Japanese are so innocent." The point is to say "No more Hiroshima's."
21. It's pretty bad ass looking. Saudi Arabia purchased a large number of them for it's military.
22. You seem to have a poor grasp of the entertainment industry.
23. You know, I bet the Macross live action movie was gonna be a whole lot better.
24. Thanks for the update. Keep us posted.
