Blackout is very tempting. How is it out of the box? Thanks, --MyClone

The color, obviously, but mainly the head, especially that crest. Maybe I'm nuts.

Am I the only one looking at Drift and thinking "Tigatron?"

Very cool. As others have said, a must buy. Thanks, --MyClone

Yes, definitely -- terrific figure, fits in well with the Classics line. My only real complaint is that I wish the face was more skull-like. But that's a minor gripe. Best, --MyClone

You normally do your trading in smoke-filled back rooms? But I gotcha. With any luck, I should be able to bring a few small giveaways. Anyone else have the same idea? Best, --MyClone -

So, does this mean bringing toys for trade or sale is discouraged? Looking forward to the event regardless. Thanks, --MyClone -

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.4

Sometimes there's just no winning, I suppose. Glad to hear that there weren't many others who had the problem I did, after all. Best, --MyClone -

You may be correct; I could simply have been unlucky. OTOH, given that the reports have indicated the screw problems occurred in the early production run, I received a Valk from that run, and it was broken in the manner described in the reports, it's also possible the problem was widespread in that run. But perhaps I should not have generalized from my anecdotal experience. Guess I was still sore about it. Best, --MyClone -

Quite right, but the shoulder screw problem does appear to have been widespread, at least in the initially manufactured Valks. Despite treating my VF-25S very carefully, that screw broke during the first transformation out of the box. Fortunately for me, I bought the Valk from BBTS, which cheerfully agreed to send me a replacement. Serves me right for complaining before about being "Yamatoed" -- now I got "Bandaied!" Thanks for the pictures, Graham! This destroid has always been one of my favorites. Ray: PSSST! Best, --MyClone

Kevin: Please forgive me for being obtuse, but does this delay relate to (1) the Toynami imports of the "Origin of Valkyrie" 1/55s with no box changes (e.g., the DYRL VF-1A Super Max and Hikaru), or (2) the Toynami-boxed 1/55s with new heads, like the VF-1D concept shown at Comic-con? Or both? PLMK. Thanks, --MyClone

I only have one Yamato Valk now, a 1/48 VF-1J, but it's always been displayed in the GPB armor. The J has always been the most iconic Valk to me. I had a couple other 1/48s, but I've been trying to focus my collecting down to the essentials, so they were passed on to MWers who would appreciate them more. I do like the 1/48 fast packs, especially with the clear covers, as they really impart a sense of scale. If I had to pick just one, however, I'd go with the J with GPB, which looks just massive. I'd just like to add my voice to the chorus of approval for these stands. I ordered one from Los last week, and it arrived in just a few days. It works great, and looks nice, as well. Can't wait for the upgrades! Thanks, --MyClone

Insider trading!! But seriously, thanks for the confirmation, Graham. Can't wait for this to come out. Best, --MyClone

Dat: Really fantastic work! Thanks for sharing the pics and the details of the paint scheme. You've really inspired me to finally get off my butt and start my own 1D custom. Best, --MyClone
