  1. I caught a late showing last night and just wanted to chime in. Did anyone else have an unexpectedly significant number of girls in their audience? I was like okay, bat geek, bat geek, me,comic book guy, girl girl girl? Huh? I'm guessing it was the Bale factor because the wife admitted she only wanted to see it because he was "hot". Other than that, great Batman flick. I thought the part with the "backup" at Arkham was pretty damn cool. Great acting jobs all around, although I felt Katie Holme's part was pretty superfluous and maybe the script would have been just as good without a female lead of any kind. The cliff-hanger for the sequel gave me goose bumps and I'm wracking my brain to figure out who they could cast for the part. I definitely wouldn't mind seeing it again.
  2. The lowest I've seen them is $25 BIN (still kicking myself for not picking it up), but usually they're around $75 aren't they? Maybe that's just for the reissues...
  3. Either the owner is totally oblivious to the fact that he owns a boot, or he's hoping someone is just stupid enough to place a bid without looking too hard at the pic. I'm voting for the latter.
  4. I agree completely. I'm still not really sure why CN changed the format. To make room for more repeats of FLCL or Inuyasha?
  5. Well, if the Superman TAS is any indication, then yes it can. When he was fighting Livewire it definitely did a number on him. If you're referring to Capt. Marvel, I think it has more to do with Cap's powers coming from magic. Supes is very vunerable to magic of all types. I'm definitely seeing a JLU version of "Kingdom Come" heading our way. Should be frakin' sweet.
  6. I guess Hugh Jackman didn't think a Van Helsing sequel was going to happen.... Wolverine movie produced by....Wolverine! Shocker
  7. Yes, almost everyone hated SDSC, it still doesn't mean it wouldn't make a cool toy. Since RT basically got me started on my love of anime way back when, it would be cool to have one just to have a mech from each gen of the series. Besides, did anyone ever find the hard point to connect a supposed beta?
  8. What? No love for the Hovertanks??? I would think that they'd want to do a toy that represents SDSC.
  9. I have to wonder why in ROTJ, Palps didn't say anything to Luke like "He killed your mother, strike him down!" That might have been enough to send Luke over the edge. Maybe they're saving that for the super extended paltinum edition edit.
  10. Maybe now is a good time to ask Joss Whedon if he wants the job?
  11. I dunno guys, could you even get the gunpods to rest over the shoulders without some sort of modification? It looks like the boosters are sitting kind of low on the back and you might be hard pressed to get them to rest over the shoulders without some sort of extension. Otherwise, your valk would have cannons that could basically just shoot straight up. I guess you could just have them there for the sake of having them there, but the only "real" way to make use of them would be some kind of death blossom maneuver.
  12. Okay, I'm going to download it, but I've decided if they haven't saved any civvies by episode 10, I'll waste another hour and half of my life and give them until episode 13 before I jumps ship!
  13. Man, the more I look at that chestplate, the more it looks wrong. That new pic makes the valk look like it's been working out with A1! Either that or it got implants. Oh well, I'm sure I'll by a set just so I can complain about it some more.
  14. So how many nominations for "ass clown" , or "ass hat" do you expect to receive for various members? I think this is a great idea but if kept in an open forum for nominations it could lead to dogs and cats living together...total anarchy! I suppose it would at least be a long and funny thread.
  15. Actually, yes I do, but some people actually *shudder* like the ewoks (or choose to ignore them). I guess I'm just suprised you ranked ESB below TPM.
  16. Uxi, I'm just curious as to why or how you could rate TPM before ESB on this list.
  17. Is anyone else starting to tire of this show? I really liked it at first, but now it's just becoming monster/power of the week stuff. The characters are cool, but there doesn't seem to be much progression going on as far as the whole overarching plot. I'm still not seeing any civillians getting saved in spite of all these cool powers they keep finding within themselves. I guess if this keeps up there won't be anyone left except the pilots so they'll be forced to do the whole DBZ cop out of having everyone magically brought back in the final episode.
  18. Actually, I think 'ol stupidshadow has been on a lot of people's radars for awhile now. I guess some fanboys just got sick of his stupid lies about GL and Star Wars in general.
  19. It's probably just some fanboy talking out of his arse but: Lucas talks about prequels to the prequels I'm sure it's just some wishful thinking from a fanboy, but who knows?
  20. Haven't they been trying to do this since Val Kilmer was in college?
  21. I don't think falling from a few hundred feet up and managing to survive at all is a small feat by any means. While it can be debated that Yoda could have beaten Palps, Yoda was already weakened by the inital force lightning attack. Yes, he arrogantly assumed Palps would be an easy mark, leaving him open to the initial attack. After that, Sid had the high ground, making it difficult to "hop his lazy ass" up to Palps' level. It was a very close match given that Yoda had just finished off probably a few dozen clone troopers at the temple while Palps was chillin' in his throne room gathering his strength. I don't think Yoda's connection to the force and having felt the loss of so many jedi in a matter of hours? days? helped his constitution. If the battle had taken place with Yoda at full strength, Palps corpse would have been all over the Senate chamber.
  22. I just watched it this afternoon and I noticed there and pointed it out to my wife who said "The millenium what?" Fortunately, it all worked out because now she want to watch eps 4,5, 6. Heck, even I want to re-watch them again. I thnk the part that affected her the most was when Vader goes into the room to kill the hiding younglings. She became very irate. "Why did he do that??? Huh??? Those were just kids?! I can't watch anymore of this!" I just simply stated that he was evil and that was the nail in the coffin so to speak. Episode 3 was definitely tighter than the other two. It's a shame eps 1 and 2 suffered from some poor editing and pacing (moreso in TPM than AOTC). Man, I really wish there was a way to edit episode 1 so it was more appealing. I think if I was going to turn my son on to Star Wars down the road (he's only 2 now), I'd skip episode 1 completely.
  23. I actually really like that idea too. More of a mirror image of Peter than a bullying thug-type. Maybe even work the mirror image on MJ and Peter's relationship with Brock as some kind of nerdy MJ stalker who finds out Peter is MJ's old man and tries to get him out of the picture.
  24. Apparently that dumbass Eric Forman is now signed up as a spidey villain? Cinescape reports Topher Grace is going to be villain in Spidey 3??? I wonder who he's supposed to be...
  25. Don't give HG any ideas. They just might try to find a way to redub and re-edit that show so it will fit into RT continuity as some kind of prequel.
