That is a good idea! I did look at making or buying some hooks to tie the fishing line to but didn't want the hooks to be visible.. the line on its own is working ok so far! not really worried about it breaking as the pack says its rated to something like 20 pounds? Maybe if the knots unwind but im pretty sure I have done them up quite well! very!

Yeah it was but our neighbors we had back then were kinda d!cks.. There was one rather shady family a few houses down who we suspected could have done it but we could never prove anything.. It did happen during the day when most houses were empty but yeah funny that no one saw or noticed anything at all.. Thats hot!!! I wish Yamato had made a 1/60 scale HWR-00 Monster MKII.. Imagine having something like that on display!! =o

LOL! I think we all do! Anyways here is another attempt at a hanging / flying Valkyrie! This time my VE-1 Elint Seeker. Was much trickier than I first thought it'd be! Took a few goes to get the height where I wanted it to sit.. but pretty happy with the end result! Rapidly running out of fishing line too! Im hooked! get it!? hooked.. fishing reference.. never mind..

yeah skullmilitia does put a good point through and I'd love to be in the same position (purchasing wise) but that's just not going to be possible unless I start selling myself of just body parts / organs.. the silence is scary but sometimes no news is good news! I have been up to this point quite fortunate that I have an understanding partner regarding my pricey collecting habit but I don't want to push my luck with it..

Oh i can only hope so! Still im quietly confident! Love the vehicle Voltron!! Have fond memories of watching this as a child! So much better than the Lion one.. Thanks for the heads up mate! But i highly doubt that i will ever transform it.. -
This is true! Personally I'm happy with how they are although they could have further refined the design of certain joints with the renewals.. Absolutely agree! Thats what im affraid of. I think the v2 reached a good point aside from weak shoulders or a lack of overall surface details but its that what makes them what they are! Again i have to agree. I cant see Arcadia investing in a makeover for the VF-1.. For them to make it worthwhile they would have to release a whole range of types and liveries and could you imagine how painful that will be for the whole community of collectors! And a second edition VF-25 renewal or v3.. Geez i hope not!

LOL! too late I think some ppl caught on that you began to get a little aroused! I'm glad that the 17 makes you feel that way! I'm not gonna get started on my Minmay, Ranka and Sheryl figures! Id love the misses to dress up like them sometime.. Did i just say that out loud!? Hehehe!!! August 9!!! I thought it was gonna be end of August! Woo!!

I know! Im just hangin so bad to get it! Kinda freaking out a little about what condition it will be like.. But i will be keeping it in fighter mode only as i dont like the look of the other modes and my other Plus Valks are in fighter mode too. Although I have faith in Mandarake as pretty much everything I have purchased from the previously has always been very good or better! -
Yeah it would have made a crazy setup! But would also have cost me even more to finish having to build a stand and do lighting etc.. I just googled a few furniture and display places and found them. Italian company if I remember correctly. But now considering I have four IKEA cabinets I'll probably just buy a few more of em and rearrange things around so I can line them all up in a row. I'll need another soon as I've run out of space and don't know where I'm gonna fit in the Chonos as the yf-21 will take the last bit of space I have left.. Im sure I could squeeze more in but I'll start looking too crowded and obstruct the view of other Valks.. Our old evap coolers had the straw and yes they did get moldy.. We had to always air them out after each use.. Then spray them with glen20.. It just got too painful so we turfed them. The other reason I didn't get the display cabinet was that we could have got full ducted air con for tha same money which made it hard to justify the cost of the cabinet.. And I don't think my misses would ever forgive me for that! Lol!

I am currently using the top photo as my Samsung Note 3 wallpaper! works perfectly with the dark background! Its funny you mention how you lost your 1/55's in unfortunate circumstances! During the late 80's in our (old old old) house we were robbed, we lost a whole bunch of stuff! all our tv's, video players, hi-fi system, cordless phones, money, jewelry.. etc etc even a few rugs & food! they almost completely cleaned us out! it was during the day and funny enough none of the neighbors saw anything.. they would have needed a truck to take it all! so anyways among other things that were taken were my own 1/55 Valks that I had on display in my bedroom at the time were also taken! The only one that wasn't taken (of which I still have to this day) was a Transformers Skyfire version which I never kept on display as I didn't really like it so much.. That looks crazy!! I haven't ever seen that parts set before! and the mini style guns look cool too! very nice! are they original issue or from something else?

Dude your photos are works of art! Just looks sooo sexy! I have saved them all to my hdd! hope you don't mind! The armored Ozma still is my fav Frontier Valk next to the Brera's 27y.. Hmmm maybe now just a little ahead of the Lucifer thanks to the armor parts! And I like how you have the chest missile launcher bay doors opening outwards also! I think it looks much better this way and doesn't obstruct the view of the head unit! But my Hikaru VF-1J was one of my earlier purchases when I started collecting again after selling of my old v1 VF-1 Valks years earlier.. The 'J' was an expensive little sucker too! at nearly $500 (aussie) MISB delivered! my VF-1J MPT was similarly priced.. actually more expensive if I remember correctly..

well that was the one thing I "specifically" specified to them was it had to be dust pretty much 100% dust proof. Maybe I was a little ignorant at the time regarding what I was asking for without knowing the scale of the costs involved but it was an eye opener! I wanted to completely cover one of our walls in our old bedroom which is now my collections and pc room.. it was just over 4 meters long so I wanted to allow room for a power socket for lighting. The cabinet was going to be 4m in length, 1.8m tall and .5m deep with 4 usable levels (3 shelves and the base) at about 45cm shelf height. With 7 vertical partitions making each display section about 50cm wide. It would have been epic but the price made it somewhat prohibitive. It wasn't just gonna be for my Macross stuff but also my cars, bikes and some planes.. I just wanted to do it right from the beginning.. $5000 was the price which did include delivery and setup. No lighting or base, meaning it would have to sit directly on the carpet floor. I didn't really like that idea though.. I would have had to come up with a wooden base or something to elevate it slightly. or put down wooden floor boards.. We had a few of those water coolers in our old place but found with too much use it would attract mould so we binned them.. sadly still no A/C even where we live now..

There ain't much out there with good dust sealing at reasonable prices unfortunately. That custom design cabinet I got quoted had properly sealed doors and joins so no dust could get it. I have been thinking of making a cabinet myself somehow.. like cut & weld up a frame but its the glass and getting it all cut to size which is the super expensive part.. A swamp cooler!? That like one of those evaporative water cooler things eh? yeah would add a lot of moisture indeed..

Yeah the IKEA cabinets are reasonable, I have 4 klingsbo which cost me $250 (Aussie$) each which is pricey for what you get.. I did get a quote for a custom built 4mL x .5mD x 1.8mH Glass cabinet from a place in Sydney and they wanted $5,000 for it! Would have been perfectly sized for Valks but at that price was never gonna happen..

not even half a day later after dust removal I can already see a faint fine layer of dust settling on the glass shelves.. yes I'd say the non glossy plastic surface probably generates more static which dust will be drawn.. oh well looks like I just gotta live with it.
