  1. The Macross TV series was good, REAL good. I just feel that DYRL was even better. Personally i love Macross for the Mecha, and there was more of it in DYRL. While the TV series was good, it was also full of emotional crap from Minmay & Hikaru. Honestly though, i think i love DYRL best because i saw the TV series first. By watching the TV series first, it made me appreciate the movie even more. If i saw DYRL first, i might have been more confused at the end. So the TV series actually helped me appreciate the movie that much more. To enjoy the entire world of Macross, I feel you need to watch both. However, i find myself popping in DYRL in the DVD player more often then i do the TV series when it is all said and done. Just my opinion though.........
  2. Here are the 1/55 Chunky Monkeys on my bookshelf..........
  3. I went to Bot-Con this past weekend in Pasadena. I saw this custom Jetfire, is it a 1/48?
  4. The OVA is longer, with better video quality. The movie has a better ending, but with a poor VHS quality on the DVD. Bottom line, to win you have to see BOTH. I own both, and can not really choose which is better. It's best to see the series how it was shown in Japan. OVA series first, then the movie last. An awesome series that MUST be seen.
  5. I thought the writers said they would NOT screw up this movie. The Batmobile is one of the main things that people look forward to in a Batman movie. "The Car" should look sleek, not a garbage can on wheels! What are they thinking?
  6. Yeah it's a bootleg of the animeigo release. Also..... It does NOT have an English Language track despite what it says on the box. I was another web site a few months ago, and everyone that bought it was complaining that there was no dub. It was subtitled ONLY, just like it's Anemigo clone master. So heads up, don't be fooled as there is no English language track.
  7. Yeah i've seen those box sets for sale at most DVD places for a while now. I live in California, and a electronics store named Fry's had them for $50-$60 for each box. (3 total) Hey let me know if Macross Zero does pop up at Cristianna Mall. Then let me know where the hell is Cristianna Mall !?!?!
  8. Do they sell these alone? I would like a few sets myself but i have only seen them come with the VF-1S Hikaru reissue, Jetfire, and the original Taka toys from the 80's. I wish they would sell a 1/55 fast pack set like Yamato does. Is there something out there i don't know about? Or are you asking how much is a good price to buy them off of someone?
