  1. Here's a Nasa page with details about Panoramic Photography on the Moon Panoramic Camera Rectified Photography on 229 x 1829 mm (9- x 80-In) Film Data Set -- Panoramic Photography NSSDC ID: 1972-096A-06 Mission Name: Apollo 17 Command and Service Module (CSM) Principal Investigator: Dr. Frederick J. Doyle -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Description The purpose of the panoramic camera photography experiment was to obtain high-resolution panoramic photographs with stereoscopic and monoscopic coverage of the lunar surface. These photographs will aid the principal investigators of other scientific instrument module (SIM) experiments in correlating their sensor data with data on the lunar surface. The camera, which has a 24-in. (610-mm) focal length, provided 1- to 2-m resolution from an orbital altitude of 110 km. The camera had four main components: (1) a roll frame assembly that rotated continuously in the cross-track scan direction, (2) a gimbal assembly that tilted fore and aft to provide stereo coverage and forward motion compensation (fmc), (3) the main frame, and (4) a gaseous nitrogen (GN2) pressure vessel assembly. The optics system, camera/film drive and control system, and film cassette completed the camera system. The camera system was mounted in the CSM SIM bay between the two SIM shelves. It was stored with the lens inward to protect it from contamination sources. The photography was automatic, but the crewmen could activate, deactivate, and control the camera power and operational modes. A crewman retrieved the cassette with the pan camera photography from the SIM bay on an EVA during transearth coast. About 1500 photographs of good quality were obtained. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Discipline Planetary Science: Geology and Geophysics Personnel Information
  2. Funny you mention that... I was wondering why is a defence Satellite sitting wide open in front of a trailer park myself... I'm just surprised with the price tag. It gotta be real. Anybody shelling out 250.000 would have the means to authenticate the item. I wonder if McDonnell-Douglas could authenticate and maybe explain how Bobba got the Star Wars Satellite...
  3. Quick snapshot of the negatives Nice sunny day in Florida, so I tape them in front of a white curtain on my french doors. The lenght of each strip is about 7ft x 9in.
  4. Stick with the classics. Galaga and MsPacman are timeless and bestsellers anywhere. You can even get a combo game. If you wanna go <style> build or buy a Mame cabinet and put some 100 classic rom collection for the ultimate entertainment system.
  5. I got the thing in the mail. EACH POSE is 6ft wide! The guy sent me uncut sequencial frames, so I have a huge 18ft x 9" strip of negative film, making 3 6ft panoramic frames the moon. Apparently it was shot on Kodak 2420 film, used on aerial surveillance.
  6. No mockup. The dude claims it to be the real deal... not sure if comes with the death ray though...
  7. I would love to! Draw me a map on how to make a print of a 6ft by 9" negative ...
  8. I accidentally found this auction on ebay of this guy selling allegedly original negatives from the Apollo 17 mission. Panoramic shots, 6ft wide by 9 inches. I was gullible enough to buy three of them and I wonder if there's any way to authenticate those... not that I think they are fake, it just seemed to me that this kind of memorabilia would be worth more than the $75 he was asking for it... The same guy also happen to be selling a McDonnell Douglas "Star Wars " Satellite (SDI), what helped me belive the negatives are real... Heres the link for the aution Auction for the Star Wars satellite
  9. My local super target in Boyton Beach, Fl got a pile of those things... like 20 of them
  10. I don't know what is wrong with me, but I can't wait to get that Death Star Vader... Have you guys seen the alternate mode???
  11. Believe it or not but I have Fireworks installed JUST for the sole purpose of saving files. Its compression algoritms are nuts. After trying dozens of products, Fireworks gives the best quality / compression and even let you create profiles for different settings. Often I do artwork on photoshop (I'm a graphic designer btw) , copymerge all and paste on fireworks just for saving as a jpeg..
  12. Don't be so regional... Zillion was quite popular on Japan, Brazil and France. They even had a transformable Trichange toy from SEGA impossible to find that goes for an insane amout of money among collectors. Nah.. I'm just messing around ... chances of being Zillion are almost none. Just my obscure anime reference Maybe they want to show toynami how is done and make a Voltron... Edited to attach SEGA's Trichange pic
  13. So the setup you have is cable modem > wireless router > computer , right? Your wireless is working, so we can assume that the cable modem is working and the router is working to some degree. Let's test your computer ethernet. You said the router doesn't even register the cable connection, so just unplug the router for a minute and connect the computer straight to the cable modem. If the cable modem works, the problem is with the router. If the cable modem doesn't light up the ethernet light, is either the ethernet cable or your ethernet card. Check another cable, just to make sure... and make sure you are not using a crossover cable either. On Control Panel > System > Network Connections Make sure the network card is not disabled (gray). Right click and try to enable it. If still doesn't work, go to Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager check on network adapters if your is listed, if it is turned on and there is no yellow question mark or conflicts on it. I hope it helps... Hope it helps
  14. Well I can't blame him. Ebay auctions are hitting $2500 for this f'ing thing. You can make 2 grant per PS3 instantly!!!!! My local best but has like 20 people CAMPING with tents and everything. Talk about nonsense.
  15. I got a 12" Marmit Spectreman on eBay but the thing came with all the parts separate and I have no idea on how to put it together... before I try trimming or snapping stuff I wonder if any of you guys have any tips to help me out and make the experience as easy as possible.... If anybody can help me with the instructions, it would already big a huge help... I'm very confused about how the head connects to the neck. Both are very hard plastic and I can tell it doesn’t fit that way without brute force. I hope what it says on the instructions sheet is not "drill here about that big" Thanks!
  16. Now if they would just make one that walks...
  17. Scientists teleport two different objects I can''t wait until HLJ can teleport my toys straight to home.
  18. If they only had a chance to... the "Samurai" kibble only allow the leg to spread about 22 degrees.
  19. Well, that's it for me. I transformed it a second time and just keep noticing more and more stress marks. The hinge on the back got three screws. The top center one doesn't tight anymore, and this is making a little connection metal bar come out. I got another stress mark on one of the intake covers. The problem is too many tabs and pieces locking everything up... This toy requires bit too much of brute force to pull out the piece between the wings. It will chill shelved on robot mode for a while.
  20. Got my creamer today... Mixed feelings. The jet mode is really really nice, and if you plan on displaying as a jet it probably pays the admission right there. The color is not as bad as I expected, but quality control on this thing was kind of sloppy. Think chipped paint to lose screws. Also the jet parts fit so tight that I'm freaking out because I feel something will break really soon. I got stress marks behind the wing folds on the first transformation. This reminded me why I never preorder stuff. I was hyped and sold over the MP1 quality and this was a big slap in the face. While not as regretful as getting a Toynami, but still kicking myself for paying 80 bucks for this thing... Should have got a VF0A. Heres him next to a 1/48...
  21. The color kind of bummed me out, but how do you like it so far? Does it feel solid enough or it got that feeling something will snap out anytime soon? Does the missiles come out? Any changes we can get some jet pics next to a yammie 1/48?
  22. What's with the color? It looks green. Please tell me is gray and not green.
  23. What's the metal content? Is it heavy? And what up with the color? It looks green to me.
