  1. So I missed the train and just found out about this Kits Concept thing. I really don't feel like reading 27 pages, so can anyone give me the TLDR? Do we like/want this? Thanks
  2. Awesome, thanks... Oh the face of regret... I could have gotten a box of those thing for $50 and now they're hawking them at ebay for $30 each
  3. About two years ago I was checking out a hobby shop in South Florida and by the check out register they had some surprise boxes with Macross mini models. I purchased one just to check it out and inside there was a very nice detailed VF-1A. They were about $5 a piece too... Here what it looks like. It came with a little stand, that is glued to the top of my monitor. Anyone knows: what are they called Where can we get them online how much are they going for? I soooo regret not buying the whole box...
  4. I preordered one from Toywiz for $80... Still says shipping in August. BBTS says shipping September. Can't seem to find a review anywhere on the web.
  5. It was a joke big guy... I just got a kick on how you go out of your way to bash stuff. On that particular time I was enjoying a burger with A1 sauce... and the inspiration came. It was not mean spirited, brother... my apologies.
  6. Not sure how much time y'all are willing to spend on this hunt, but here's some intel for those still looking for the Hasbro MP Soundwave. Over the last 3 days it is coming in very limited stock in between 2:00 and 3:30pm EST. I narrowed down the time based on reports at TFW2005 and Seibertron.. I missed it for a couple of days because of work, but Today I was prepared. You can use a free Chrome extention called Easy Auto Refresh... It automatically refreshes a browser window for you so you don't have to keep pressing f5 or opening a link. I set mine it to refresh every 10 seconds and went about my day at work keeping the browser window visible on the corner one of my monitors. As soon as you see the bright pink ADD TO CARD button you are literally running against clock. Stock seem to be very very limited, so I recommend you use Chrome autofill tools to autocomplete as much stuff as you can. I had my credit card info on an open notepad, so I could easily just copy and paste the info. TRU checkout is long and messy, goes for about 4 pages, but with autocomplete and notes took me 23 seconds. I recommend practice first with another item so you can get used to. This strategy worked for at least two other folks @ TFW2005. Hope it helps and good luck finding the guy!
  7. For those still looking for the 18" Gipsy Danger, Toywiz preorder is $84.99. Cheapest place I could find it online.

    Is this for real?

This is the old bait and switch trick... They got your money and suddenly the last one was sold, but don't worry, you can still buy something else on my overpriced store. I'll dispute the transaction with PayPal as item never received. A few of those and they'll get a fine and / or lose their merchant account.

    Is this for real?

I just said f*** it and ordered 3 of them just to see what happens... Worst case I'll just dispute and charge back. I'll let you know what happens.

    1/48 Broken Canopy

Here's a couple of pictures of the broken canopy. I think there might be enough room so glue back and put a little brace on it, however I need to get it out first!!! Anyone knows how to remove this thing?

    1/48 Broken Canopy

Guys... the Canopy of my 1st edition 1/48 VF-1S Roy just broke off. 1) What are the chance I can get a replacement / recast for it? 2) The part that connects to the plane is still there. Anyone knows how to access it? I might try to glue it back. Thanks in advance for any help.
  12. just got an HA Soundwave on ebay for $50... sucks but better than $250 once word spreads out.
  13. Can you also ask them no drop the price so I don't have to take a second mortgage?
  14. Hopefully is not a TRU exclusive. Im still in the looks for a Rodimus.
  15. My problem with most of the movie toys is that almost no parts of the vehicles are actually used on the robots. On both Starscream and Jetfire you basically have a jet with a huge folded robot underneath it, and the transformation is basically fold the jet as a giant backpack. Sad, considering movie Starscream could have used a very similar transformation to a Yamato VF-22, buy like was said above, the damn sound and lights didn't allow it to.
  16. I really liked the movie. The only thing that I disliked was the over-technology. I can deal with the portable submarines and even the flying fortress thing... but the blue laser-blast energy weapons.... I mean, really? For a movie that was supposed to be during WW2, Hydra was more technologically advanced than anything we have almost a century later. I was waiting for Red Skull to yell at some point....
  17. Here some pictures of Buster Prime I got one recently from this malasian site. They still have it in stock for $130 + shipping in case anybody is still looking for one.
  18. Can he at least give us the name of the rabbit vs panda kung fu movie?
  19. Ratchet needs a human alliance. Leader would be waaay out of scale with anything but leader bumblebee. Even Leader Ironhide is larger than he should. Still hoping for a good leader Megatron...
  20. On this picture the scale does not seem to be that off.. Some would argue that Starscream seem to be one of the few movie transformers that compacts instead of expanding (the thing pretty much fold in half with the wings collapsing and all.) But again, scale were more like guidelines when it comes to transformers
  21. Buyer Beware on Leader Ironhide. I just returned my Leader Ironshide this morning. I was able to cope with the leg kibble, the wrong scale and even with the stupid blue color, but the damn ball-joint holding the bumpers section were the last straw for me. Apparently, there is a HUGE design problem with a ball-joint section that holds the bumper pieces. They are coming out with little our no effort. The ones on mine snapped out during the first transformation and never plugged right ever since. The figure is just as tall as Leader Optimus, so even the scale is wrong. Major disappointment. Ball Joints suck and should be avoided at any cost.
  22. As one of the G1 generation (I'm from 77) I can say that I'm a big fan of the first 2007 movie. When the first sketches start leaking out back in 2006, I had a *really* hard time with the movie designs. Optimus with flames? With a mouth? Not a flatbed? Blasphemy! But I gotta tell you, , it had me like a little boy holding his first transformer all over again. Starscream transforming mid-air with a backflip and Blackout doing the landing transformation thing... It was just plain cool. And to the flame-mouth Optimus, once I heard Cullen's voice, it was it. That guy IS Optimus Prime and always will be, and I think they got the cartoon essence of it perfectly. The problem with the other two movies is plain simple money rush. They had terrible script and not nearly enough time to develop. The only good think that came out of it was some great toys. I dare anyone to hold a Takara Buster Prime and not be wowed by it. That thing is beautiful. It also gave us Human Alliance (that IMO is a continuation of the alternator / binaltech line that was not selling and about to be canned anyways) before the movie came out. Hold a Human Alliance Jazz and tell me is not one of the best incarnations of the character. Bitch and moan as you please, but the transformer movies gave a spark on the franchise. I never seen so many transformer lines on the store. I loved the first movie, I can live with the designs, I just wish they would focus on story for the next ones more than on bathroom jokes.
  23. This reminded me of this little snippet from cracked: "Notable for being one of the Transformers in Michael Bay's movie that isn't Bumblebee or Optimus Prime, making him essentially useless, Ratchet developed an extra layer of pointlessness when we found out he was the medical officer. For a group of robots. Arguably, any self-aware robot with some spare time and good sense would have skimmed through a few issues of Popular Mechanics or a Reader's Digest DIY home electronics repair book, maybe picked up a cheap set of tools down at Wal-Mart and been pretty much able to handle his own $hit from then on. Thus, in the only scene in which it seems Ratchet has something to do (which is try to figure out why Bumblebee has lost his voice), he shoots Bumblebee in the face with some kind of laser, confirms the other robot can't talk, and that he ain't doing $hit to fix it. Ratchet is the Cybertronian equivalent of man boobs."
  24. I think you could make the case that not all damage in the head could be repaired and that Megatron had had "brain" damage"and it was sort of malfunctioning (what would explain some of his out of character behavior, like sitting like a bum on the streets of chicago) You could also make the case that the Autobots would help each other on repairs and the military could supply them with parts and what not, whether if you're a Decepticon, you're pretty much on your own and basically have to handle your own sh*t. The sucky thing is some of those issues could be easily explained with a simple dialog scene of Ratchet on the base fixing another autobot. I just wish the robots had a little more character development.
