  1. There's a bunch of sketches into the M7 TIA book: I'll post them when I'll have my scan gone back...
  2. Sorry if I'm slightly off-topic but is there a book available where I'll find all (i.e. non Macross-only) mechanical designs? All input will be greatly appreciated
  3. Maybe this is the first signs of a heavy Alzheimer strike...
  4. I remember clearly: I was the guy with the big soop-ladle...
  5. Honnestly, if the screenshots we can see in this article are from the Xbox version, then this game looks like crap: modeling sux, texturing sux, lighting sux and I bet ambient sounds will sux too... All the more as when you see some screens for a Xbox game such as Unreal championship 2 (though they may be slightly too much colorful for some... ) This is what happens when you develop a game for 2 different platforms in using the same art sources: it is adapted for one but not for the other... Lazy devs...
  6. Someone knows a web page about this anime? Thanks in advance
  7. Great stuff, >EXO<: big thanks, mate
  8. Nope, still waiting for this one so hurry up because my lawyer is not famous for his patience...
  9. Agent ONE more or less summarized what I meant: as a general rule, you get a position when you're at the right moment at the right place... Most of the time, it works the same with board mods
  10. Why do you want to know? Being a mod is usually more of a curse than a blessing, ya know... Hence the urge of sacrificing young virgins and owling at the moon covered of their blood and chicken feathers: there's nothing better to evacuate stress
  11. In such debate, the best thing to do is to judge by yourself IMHO
  12. Well, at least I now understand better why this three-colored valk' hold a red guitar between its hands in a pic found somewhere into the M7 artbook a while back...
  13. Old news, but still cool Rock on, Hory Froating Head!!!
  14. Montpellier, France The Lat Long progie says this corresponds to these coordinates : latitude 43.6208 43° 37' 14" longitude 3.8383 3° 50' 17"
  15. Why not try a totally different point of view and propose a zentran team in a setting totally different than the already known shows? Without any humans, maybe well before Space War, why not in a very distant solar system... Something never seen basically Like this we'd learn more about the zentrans, their history and their usages, but also their relationships between each other as well as WTH they were supposed to do every day before meeting Earth people... For example, some small fleet of about half a dozen of ships would have been sent somewhere to investigate Supervision Army positions or something but they encounter some meltran fleet in charge of the same mission because of contradictory directives in the main zentran HQs... Then rivalry puts the mess between the 2 fleets and they begin to fight but one soldier of each is 'trapped' somewhere for a long time after a battle and they have to learn to know each other in order to survive, and love, and bla-bla, they also do a little kid but all this is against the rules of the PC and the local Boddole Zer finally decides to terminate them when they're retrieved by their own fleet a while after... Maybe too much shakespearian though
  16. OK, I had to come in there one day or another I was browsing Amazon a few days ago and found some Macross+ OST available: I wished to know which one is the most complete, the 4 parts OAV one or the movie one? Will I get all of the movie pieces if I buy the OAV OST or are some of them specific to the motion picture version only? Thanks in advance
  17. Personnally, I tend to prefer the movie because it emphasizes greatly the 'love' concept. I mean, the symbolism of zentrans fighting meltrans is rather obvious: it's basically what happens between little boys and little girls during the little school -except that they don't have mechs, fortunately - then they become adult and are attracted by each other... It's an immortal story because it's almost philosophical: it describes the links between two sorts of people whose thinking processes are completely different, almost antagonist in fact, though very narrowly linked through an all-powerfull sentiment completely beyond any sort of reasonings There's love everywhere in this story: when Minmeï and Hikaru are together or when Misa or Claudia lose their fiancé. Even when Max fights Millia because we all know that love stories often begin in a conflicting way, and it isn't very different between Misa and Hikaru btw. Even when Moruk Laplamiz is killed by Boddole Zer before the very final combat, they just look like one of these old married couples who can't stand each other because they lived too much long together. And the Space War is won with a love song... I think this is why Kawamori said that Macross is there, 'somewhere': it's not this sort of concept you can give a definitive shape to, or you may ruin all its poetry. If it was that simple, there wouldn't be that much love stories in all the cultures of the world Yes, of course, the movie was made for profit but I think Kawamori saw the characters had evolved considerably between the very first episode and the last one of the TV serie and that a more complex symbolism could be depicted into DYRL: what were some basic plots to combine the various episodes together finally became some sort of Macross trademark, hence the differences between the serie and the movie. There's a strong love affair into Macross Plus aswell and you can easily feel that the rivalry between the two pilots is more related to Myung than a piloting skills affair Well, probably...
  18. Did you envisage the Unreal Engine? Unreal Tournament 2004 proposes the come back of the Assault gametype where one team attacks one location and the opposite team must defend it, then roles are inverted: one of the official maps, AS-Motherhip, is a space combat setting with fighters attacking a Skaarj alien ship. I know that a mod team has alreay begun to work on a Wing Commander-mod based on some of the features of this particular map: it may be possible for you to use a similar process to build your Macross Flight Simulator
  19. I just thought some of you may be interested into taking a look at some of my works some of them are very old though... The Destroïd Tomahawk from Macross II, colorized with the old traditional Pantone pens : A transformable fighter very inspired by the YF-19 from Macross Plus : Some various personal stuff (the one on the left is rather 'Macross-like' while the one on the right is more inspired by the Megazone23 mechanical art): These ones are also inspired from the Macross II mechs, from left to right by the Gilgamesh marduk battroïd and the new Nousjadeul Ger zentran power armor : A CG work for the end A friend of mine who mastered Robotech RPG campaigns asked me to make a model of a custom zentran ship, the vessel was supposed to be able to go underwater aswell : Enjoy!
  20. Well, at least this argument was usefull for a n00b like me: I'm now informed that I should put my hands on the original Macross ASAP Anyone knows a good online store where I could find a cool subtitled version? Is the one available at Valkyrie Exchange good? Thanks in advance for the infos Oh, and while I'm at it, hello to all: I'm the latest 'new baby' on the board...
