  1. Someone posted about this on TFW and I'm gald they did because it looks awesome. I love the Getter robo's system and to see it completely reimagined by someone with as much expertise as Kawamori is a dream. If Bandai can do the biz and make a big full function DX toy set that doesn't miss a trick then I will not hesitate to throw my money at them in order to own those mechs.
  2. Well they are all just machines, complex and massive though they may be. They can be rebuilt, the question is why. Usually they would take what they've learned from those prototypes and use that to their advantage with a new design. Fair enough, it was ages ago when I read the mecha previews.
  3. I bleive that when the dropship was announced it was said to be 1/72. I'll see if I can dig it up. edit, found some evidence, "Posted by: MattAlt (---.ap-US.usen.ad.jp) Date: June 15, 2004 07:36PM Sorry to blank on this -- the guy at the booth confirmed that the 1:72 APC does indeed fit inside the Dropship."
  4. I'm sure they got someone to ferry him to Earth orbit. Isn't Saviour Nucleaur powered like the Freedom? Hence being developed seperately from the other three new suits. I'm really loving this new series, much better then the first (which I'm watching as the dvd's come out) with loads more action from the get go. Kira kicked all sorts of arse.
  5. Matt Alt (who was there) say the APC is about 3.5" long and the dropship is about 11 or 12" long. Ship next to it is an Eagle freighter from cult Brit sci-fi series Space:1999.
  6. That production plastic version is looking a lot more solid. I have high hopes but I can't afford it at the moment so I'll eb able to wait and see what the reviews say. Fort Max
  7. I haven't seen that before, it's very nice. 1/48 Armour is defintely something I can get behind, I like my toys big and fully loaded. Fort Max
  8. Max factory is working on a non transformable one thought, right? The one on both displays are the same exact one. I think Bariaburu faita was right about the other stand was the sculptors stand and the other was Yamato. I think we haven't seen Max Factory's yet. yeah, that's right. The grey one was on Yamatos stand, they are manufacturing. The pink one was on Atlier Sai's stand, they are designing.sculpting. Max Factorys hans't been seen yet and will most likely be a non transforming robot mode diecast action figure. Graham, CM's Corp have a website now, I'm not keeping up with the pvcs cos I only really collect transforming robot toys but here it is anyway, http://www.cmscorp.jp/top.htm CM's btw are very busy with the two DX GaoGaiGar toys they are working on at the moment. I should warn people not to get their hopes up over the Genesic GGG they are showing off, it costs $600 and is limited to 600 pieces. Fort Max
  9. I love this design more then any other in Macross, as I'm sure many other do. I'd like it perfect if it's at all possibe, no matter the wait. If something does have to go then I'd prefer it to be the landing gear, my robot toys spend most of their time in their robot modes anyways. Fort Max
  10. Noel, Thanks a lot man, those are some fantastic pictures of the garland, loads of detail can be seen. I can't thank you enough, this came out of nowhere and is allready riding very high at the top of my list. It's on display at two booths because, Yamato is manufacturing it but the deisgn and scuplting has been done by a guy at an independant anime studio. I think they're called Atlirie Sai (something like that). The same situation is affecting the BGC figures, Yamato is making small semi poseable story image figures for 680yen a pop, AS wants to make the 6" way more poseable figures but haven't forund a manufcaturer/distributor yet. The guy who developed the Garland also wants to make a Motoslave for the larger BGC figures. Fort Max
  11. There was a drawing I saw yesterday via toyboxDX which showed exactly how the cockpit opened up. on that Mecha anime hq place I think, sorry I forget it's proper name. Fort max
  12. I don't want to completely derail this lovely Macross world thread but, Max Faxctorys Genesic isn't the 14" tall $600 plastic transforming one, that's the work of relatively new boys (especially to the high end field) CM'S corporation. Max Factorys Genesic is 8" tall, non transforming, packe dwith joints and articulation and is over 75% (I belive) diecast. It costs around $130. Hope that clears things up. Fort Max
  13. that would be the Faye and the Julia statuettes that you can see at Yamato's website. They'rte also doing some story image figures along with Trigun and others. Garland is too cool, I can't wait to see more. But for all you more nostalgia driven Megazone fans, Max Factory has announced that it will be making a Garland Gokin (poseable diecast, lilkey non transforming) figure 2nd/3rd quarter of 2005. Their Genesic GaoGaiGar was an increadably beautifully made piece but it was costy so if you really like megazone this might be worth looking forward too. Fort Max
  14. What he said... I guess you sorta have to be into the old school stuff a little bit to appreciate Megazone, but hey, considering that we're all Macross fans, that part should go without saying. Ah, I see. I'm into old school anime as well, it just tends to be from either side of the 80's. Having said that Megazone looks pretty good and if it comes out here in England then I will check it out. thanks for the info guys. Fort Max
  15. Just out of curiousity, how is it that people here seem to know about Megazone 23 so much? I only heard about it for the first time a couple of months ago when ADV started pimping their release of it. Fort Max
  16. Yeah it looks pretty big and thusly likely not cheap http://www.visualmedia.com.hk/cgi-bin/news...∂=100&utag= Fort Max
  17. Wow, lots of good news there, Garland and BGC figures are all cool, 1/48 armour set would be very welcome and teh YF-19 hasn't been cancelled. Lots to look forward too. Fort Max
  18. The same page in English, http://www.aicanime.com/ FM
  19. Not Macross but something I know a lot of you want, Matt Alt of ToyBoxDX visited the show and the only new thing he saw was a Yamato Transforming Megazone 23 Garland bike robot There's also some pics of Lina's BGC Hradsuit and Yamatos Zeroymer here, http://www.anime-int.com/news/ Looks nice. Fort Max
  20. Beautifull. Shame there's no release details yet but given the rate at which increadibly expensive japanese robot toys are being announced this month it's proabaly a good thing for my wallet. Fort Max
  21. Those are some kickarse new pictures, thanks CF18. Looking better and better but still no release details. Fort Max
  22. Kewl... May I ask where this info is coming from? Carl Matt Alt of ToyboxDX.com posted that info after the Toykyo toy show, which he went to and took those pictures of teh monster we were drooling over a week or so back. That Voltes V combination is pretty cool but I still love GaoGaiGar. Fort Max
  23. Then you'll love the fact that the APC comes with it and fits inside FM
  24. I've just strated on Amdriver, this and MRR and TF Energon are going to make me so broke. FM
