  1. HLJ has a whole section devoted to Japanese publications, http://www.hlj.com/top/Boo
  2. I just got back from seeing this and I thought it was great, it seemed to hit a nce halfway house between 1's overly complex plot and 2's overdone Woo factor. I really enjoyed, best one so far.
  3. You say that now (and so would I) but remember that Shiki is still without his BFG.
  4. It sounds familiar but GSC was allready suggested and debunked so I've got nothing.
  5. Ist page, bottom pics, I'm pretty certain that that's from Aura Battler Dunbine, no idea of the name. 2nd page, I could very well be wrong but I thik those are from a toyline (possibily a show as well) called lensman. 3rd page, no idea. 4th page is easy, it's the Outlaw Star from the show of the same name.
  6. I like it better with the gold paint, I watched CCA again a few days ago because I couldn't really remember the Jagd Doga and as soon as it came on I was instantly turned off by the banana trim. This however, is gorgeous, there are so few pros that I don't want. Really looking forward to that CCA line up, espcially Sazabi and Re-Gz.
  7. Totally, I'm watching it again now myself. The show has great rewatch value and makes loads more sense the second time around.
  8. How could you leave out the foot garage? It's gotta be the only super robot to have such a practical feature.
  9. Manga have really picked themselves up, here in the UK they are putting out some great releases of shows that came out in the US a while ago under Pioneer. I watched Karas myself yesterday, I knew next to nothing going into it and was very pleasently surprised, I was glad I watched the dub because the fight scenes had my eyes glued firmly to the actcion.
  10. That's where I'm getting mine from, it just shipped today.
  11. They're all subbed but not properly timed and such, someone apparently hacked Nanashi's site and stole their translations.
  12. Some translated notes from the sketches, posted on Robot Japan's bbs by Ataru, "The text on those blueprints say that these are rough design sketches that are being used for planning how what they'll actually do, so you can't really take everything in them for granted. Remember, the original voltes blueprints even included things like the super electromagnetic tops being storable in the torso. That said, it says transformation and combination but it doesn't say "perfect" transformation. Neither does it mention part swapping. Cover pieces that fold over gaps created in the transformation process are mentioned. Also, it mentions storing both the buster shield and buster homerun within the buster machines, and reproducing the buster koreda. " That all sounds rather ambitious but having seen Voltes raft of tricks I have no doubt that Bandai will deliver a worthy toy.
  13. The Zeta seems fiddily when you first hold it but after giving it and it's instructions a look over it's actually pretty firm footed and well held together.
  14. When I see more Zegapain I'll post more bashing.
  15. Shizouka Hobby show is next month, still too early for a full proto I would say but I will be shocked if Bandai don't have something cool to show to drum up hype. Speaking of hype, Noriko, could I please borrow an image from you sites art gallery for a Gunbuster SOC awareness sig for use on other sites?
  16. No idea as of yet, when more details come up I'll start a proper thread for it.
  17. Because he was only mecha designer on those, this is his own project, he's writing, character/mecha designing, directing, etc, etc. Some info from Gunota, GOTHICMADE A bit late, but Mamoru Nagano of Five Star Stories will be starting a new original anime titled, "GOTHICMADE". The current announced staff is Nagano himself as he will be in charge of original story, director, scenario, animator, and photography for this series. GOTHICMADE will be non-CG animation. The official site has a brief intro of this tale and 2 characters. Meanwhile this month's issue of Newtype magazine has details on the main mecha, Die Eis KAISERIN, and other minor characters. Edit, Gunota also has news of an Super Robot Wars Original Generation TV anime, sweet! "Super Robot Wars Original Generation: The TV series Officially announced the other day at the Steel OG Festival, with details via Moonphase: Super Robot Wars Original Generation - Fall 2006 Director: Hiroyuki Kakudou CG advisor/special director: Ichiro Itano Series composition: Takanobu Terada Animation: OLM Their miscellaneous notes site says the story will mainly follow the SRX team with Ryusei as the protagonist."
  18. He's talking about Queen Victoria's little speech right at the end with reagards to Torchwood. I personally thought the first Tennant Episode was rather poor but this was miles better.
  19. Maybe I was spoilt rotten by Eureka Seven but Zegapain is megadull, I've seen two episodes so far and nothing has really engaged me on any level. The cgi battlescenes are so bland and clinical that they suck any excitemnt out of the situaition. I'm now looking forward to (get this!) Mamoru Naganos first TV anime "Gothicmade", it looks very similar in style to Five Star Stories but that's no bad thing, it will laso be zero cgi. http://www.gothicmade.com/
  20. Cost is just shy of 16'000yen, height still unknown, due around early September, details from the ever wonderfull Amenbo, http://www.amenbo.com/toj.html
  21. It's a disease, it must be, I've ordered more in the last two weeks then I usually do in a month. I've gone through my last paycheque like it's water. I don't know why I'm buying so much all of a sudden...
  22. HCMP Hizack piccies, http://www.toysdaily.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=38576 The Capsule accessory is almost disturbing with how casually Bandai have thrown it in there.
  23. Heh, this is out on Monday here in the UK. I wasn't interested untill I saw this thread though as I'd heard next to nothing about it, it's ordered now though.
  24. Gunbuster towers over just about everything though. I expect standard large SOC size of 10-12". I noted that there's no sign of the Buster Colliders in those sketches, Bandai would be wrong to forget them completely.
