  1. This is what I was talking about. You need to push your back pack in further for this to work. If you notice, there are two little nubby things in the area the hinge plate sits, Push the plate past those parts to hold it in place, then put the FAST Pack part on. Fills the gap and looks damn cool too.
  2. Two things you can do to correct your problem. One, make sure the black part that the head attaches to is properly rotated. If that doesn't help, then get a FAST Pack set and use the white part that is used to add strength to the back pack when the boosters are attached. I'll put a picture up later.
  3. I think this may be an isolated occurance, because there really aren't any gaps anywhere in the chest region on my 1/48's. Everything seems to fit nice and tight.
  4. Actually, the bars could operate much like the "chunky monkey" valks, except I would have them slide into the cockpit, rather than leaving them exposed. I would also have them painted to match the valk so they weren't visible. Both bars could be attached by way of a smaller bar that allowed them to slide away from the body, allowing them to swing past the cockpit. Similar to how the 1/48's work, but much easier to transform.
  5. Actually, the bars would have to be thicker to make it work especially if these really existed and transformed like that. I don't know if there is a metal out there that can support that much weight at that size. And imagine what would happen if a transformation was done in mid-flight? The pressure alone would cause it to break.
  6. Notice too how the hip swing bars also move away from the body to allow them to swing past the cockpit. This can easily be done on the toy as well. They will just need to "friction lock" against the sensor nubs on the nose (the same place the bar inserts on the 1/48's).
  7. The swing bar on the VF-0 could be done in metal, much like the 1/48's. I don't think that would be too weak for a toy. Now if it was made of plastic, then yes, it would break on the first attempt. Let me see if I can come up with a drawing this weekend to show you how I think the swing bar would work. At least when I visualize it in my head, it doesn't seem to be a problem.
  8. You know, there is a damn good animated sequence in Macross Zero that shows the transformation. Why not just use that as a reference?
  9. Man, would that not be the sh*t if we could all just hop online and beat each other up in a Macross flight sim? Even if we couldn't compete in Battriod or GERWALK it would still be cool to unleash a volley of missles at someone. I may be wrong, but I haven't come across anything like this as of yet. Any game programmers out there???
  10. So is there anyway to turn this game into a dog fight mode? Can you program other planes to chase after you? Mabye even a game of tag?
  11. Now it would be really cool if someone had the desire to design an actual costume and get someone (females only please, as I would hate to see some dude wearing bikini underwear) to wear it...
  12. Wow, you even got away with a nipple shot in the background! Congrats on a wonderful custom! Your work is amazing!
  13. Come on people! This is only about 10% of the list! Is that all that we have that are current posters?
  14. It could just be part of the flight suit. I don't think her hips would look like that in a bikini.
  15. so are gonna go with this idea and bring it to life? Well, I suppose if someone wanted to pick up some slack on this project and create either an Excel or Word file listing everyone according to location (country, state, city, etc.) then it could be included in the final version of the map (final being a loose term). I don't have the cities and countries that everyone lives in, so I can only provide Lat/Long information. I would hate to have to read through 15 pages or more just be your personal dating/tour service. Any takers on some weekend work? I can start you off at $0/hr and slowly increase it to $0/hr.
  16. Here we go again! Alaska, Hawaii and Australia haven't changed since the last time I put them on here so I didn't repost for those areas. US West.
  17. Yea, it would be an intersting event to meet people in this area who like Macross. I wonder if we have anyone around here that would be willing to organize such an event... Are there any custom creators in the Chicago area? I think custom displays are always going to be needed and wanted at any Macross meet. The ball is rolling, let's keep it moving now.
  18. Hey Max, I'm about 30 minutes from your location in Racine/Kenosha Wisconsin. Born and raised in Chicago.
