  2. Especially when they swear up and down about how "The Love Boat" is the best sitcom of the 20th century. And how old Battlestar Galactica is way better than new Battlestar Galactica.
  3. I think the Achilles's hip of the VF-2SS is how the legs are attached to thin hinges on the end of tiny swing bars.
  4. The VF-2SS doesn't arrange its limbs as tightly as a Kawamori design though. It's a bit like the Legioss in that regard, which has also given companies some trouble in translating it to a toy, even with modern toy techniques. Also, the looseness of the photographed sample might be due to issues with the test shot. The final toy may have tighter joints.
  5. Only in the one promo poster (puts on Digital Mission VF-X expert hat).
  6. I want everyone to know that my SCRAMBLE NEWS NETWORK coverage of the VF-2SS toy will continue unabated come the toy's release in a few months ' -'7
  7. It's the most perfect Valk, which is why Kawamori didn't bother working out its joints because he thought no one would make a toy of it . _.
  8. Considering the VF-4G came out when the exchange rate was ~74 yen to the dollar, I doubt the re-release will be more expensive for buyers in the US. Right now it's roughly 119 yen to the dollar, so even my VF-0A cost less than my VF-4G did.
  9. Please stop. You're trying to make a mountain out of a tiny detail some artist made up over 20 years ago.
  10. Hasbro Rodimuses are rather infamous for breaking. Hasbro'd. http://www.seibertron.com/energonpub/mp-rodimus-s-broken-arms-hasbro-t86877s10.php
  11. Unfortunately, Hasegawa is bound by the same issue that plagues all Macross products not endorsed by Harmony Gold. They choose cut corners because the SDF-1 mold cannot be reused in the same way a VF-1 (or other Valkyrie) can. You're going to have to beg Toynami or Pallidium to do something, because the TV SDF-1 is simply not popular enough in Japan to warrant Hasegawa making the expense. Or, you could wait for Megahouse to release their Cosmo Fleet Special completed model. They do a number of Yamato 2199 and Gundam ships in this style, so maybe that will be to your liking.
  12. I think you're ignoring the number of times one of those products does go wrong. For example, Sentinel's Blodia (and variants) is prone to having its backpack fuel tanks break off because of how tight the ball-joint connection is for each tank. Also, their FightinGear aren't really up to snuff for their price. http://www.collectiondx.com/toy_review/2015/hurricane_polymar As for Hot Toys? Well, never buy one that uses rubber body suits or seamless limbs if you intend to keep it for long: http://toyhaven.blogspot.com/2011/09/hot-toy-collecting-tip-2-what-to-do.html
  13. That doesn't really work either. You're still stressing the canards past their normal bending point.
