  1. Hi, when I was younger, I remember buying something like that for myself. They were quite cool. I could remove the watch's body from the black plastic strap and play with it. It's was a digital watch that could transform into a robot. When I'm done playing with it, I can transform it back into a watch and install it onto the strap again. This was during the wondeful 80s. The thing is, I don't know what Japanese anime show they were from. Or their names. I also do not have that watch anymore, so there are no pictures. Googling didn't help either. So sorry if I triggered any memories but leave you guys hanging. Back then, I got it from a KFC (AKA Kentucky Fried Rat back then:P) meal giveaway. How and why the heck did I assume it's from a Japanese anime without even knowing you ask? It's pretty obvious don't you think, and back then, Japanese robots were EVERYWHERE. And I'm absolutely sure that it was quite a huge success considering that corporations like KFC even took that up as a nolvelty item to giveaway. I've also seen it in MANY various incarnations from originals to bootlegs. Forgive me if I'm proven otherwise. He looks like cross breed between Gold Lightan (a lighter) and Rumble (cassette tape) of Transformers. But he's a digital wristwatch that transforms into a robot. How firggin' cool is that? Please help me remember.
  2. Not at all one_klump. I too remember that piece where you added the Yoshinol bottle... it was funny. Back then, the original Millia Jenius member also commented something about the bottle's other method usage, after seeing your doctored picture.
  3. BoB sets CROM's little undergound nest on fiyaa.
  4. NOOO! Zanbot is too cool to be related to Rodimus in any way.
  5. This may sound a little wrong but... it might help I hope - maybe you can get someone in your family or a good friend to lend you that money? I mean, if it comes to it, you got to do what you gotta do. Asking for money to do or buy something neccessary is different from asking the dough to purchase a vintage toy. What's more if this toy you're thinking to sell might not find it's way back to you next time just because you didn't use an alternative way. Saweetening the the loan's return with a nice interest, with quick turnaround time would help the lender too.
  6. WOW! There are lots of excellent works here. I too have a Wacom tablet, but I find it a little too rigid when it comes to drawing... I dunno... maybe it just didn't feel as good as the old pencil. Maybe I have yet to "break" this horse. I do occasionally use it though, when applying "airbrush" in Photoshop - but that's all, so I still use the old mouse alot; especially when I do my vector artworks. This is indeed a cool thread. Hope to see more fellas. Please keep it up!
  7. Waaaaaah! Sooooo many Maraysians in this site! Post your addresses here so I may visit your homes and schteal your Macross loots! Any one here living in the Krang Valley? Malaysia may be a schmall tapioca hanging on da face of dis pranet, but it is actually very, very big!
  8. Man, I posted one lame joke about making pilots, and you start this thread. There are 7 of them. There is also a family picture with names highlighted by Yoshi. I don't have it now, but someone is bound to post it up later.
  9. Guys, Max DID die many times after getting to know Millia. There is something about Meltrans and their voracious ... Max - You tell 'em BoB. I was so sure I'm about to see God everytime. I hear 'is voice, and He sez to me, "it ain't your time son. I turn around, and St. Peter was there - he told me that I need to make more pilots for the UNSPACY. Yah I KNOW... At least give me one that has a pee pee! I died lesser during Macross 7 but still no mini Max with a Mini me. See? Straight from the main man's mouth.
  10. Yo BoB, are you drawing any big girls? I..it's not ready yet. Still too busy with work. As for big girls, I don't think she's in that league as far as joseph is concered.
  11. From the picture below, methinks the demo was a tragedy. Drop your weapon... Huh? You have 10 seconds to comply. Bbut... I ain't holding anything!!! You have 5 seconds to comply. 4... 3... What do I do?! What do I do?! TASKETTE!!! SMAAAACKADOO!!!
  12. I don't think epoxy will work effectively. There is just too much weight and movement to handle already - even for a new, non-broken hinge. Yamato have made it too bloody fragile. Someone with the right equipment should recast that piece in metal.
  13. LOL! You guys.
  14. Nice work joseph. Btw, are you going to draw them nude when you finish? If so I suggest you separate the mother and daughter... cuz... it's... wrong. Please finish it man, I know it's gonna look great. Even my YF19 thinks so.
  15. It's not working. Guru not answer. Guru no good.
  16. I also like Animetal's cover of that song. V!V!V! VICTOLY!
  17. Yeah his head reminds me of Shockwave too. I think the entire design is okay, he looks so much more better than the rest in the current toyline. He seems to have the articulation in the right places especially his lower torso. The only thing that puts me off are the shape of his feet... paint some bright red over the gray plastic, and we have a two-legged Gromble from Argh! Real Monsters!!!
  18. Actually, it is very relevant. Bulk of the jobs that help the sustain the Japanese animation industry largely at the entry levels, are leaving for much cheaper shores - Despite the fact that the Japanese animation studios are contracting the overseas hands to draw these shows, to cut costs, they STILL depend largely on making Japanese money first, before distributing them back overseas, and that, also depends on how wildly successful it is debuting in Japan. If not, ROI will take many more years and studios are not given years of finance cooling-off periods to make the wait worthwhile. The thing is, the very bosses who run the major studios in Japan, are depending on the Japanese anime-watching masses (and in part, quite a number of them, the very same young people who make up the animation work force) for business. The bosses should help by channelling back some money into the industry; if not outright nuture it. This is a classic story of individual selfishness guys, padding one's pocket first without an idea of the long-term consequences. I'm afraid bosses like Miyazaki, Kawamori or many other huge names, might have a hand in this deed.
  19. This is by far my most favourite ugly transformer... He's so ugly, I find him beautiful - both as a toy and his personality.
  20. Playing around yessir! For a good time, make it a BoB... er I mean... Suntori time. Hic!
  21. Precisely! But you've missed the point. We were talking about the events before, not after the movie or anything that's got to do with the UK Transformers stories. See, if only Wheeljack had a great mind like Simon Furman's... he would at least be regarded fondly enough to be kept alive in The Movie.
  22. Yeah man, and for that, Yamato's nests ought to be ALL SET ON FIYAA!!!
  23. What for? Ironhide is probably more stoopid than the Dinobots, it'll be a huge waste of Enerjon to bring him back. What Prime needs to do is get his evil lover* to do an inside job on the Decepticons. *pls refer to the Takara MP-01 Convoy or Hasbro's MPC Prime's right wrist communicator for clue.
