  1. Whoa CaptRico, you got to relax man. Your artwork is fine. Keep up the good work. The discussion bled into copyright because it was brought up - there is no harm intended too. As for marking your artwork, you can do it however you please. But listen to the white drew carey too, He's giving good advice. Making fanart is to be enjoyed, not get more stressed up. Take it easy ok?
  2. Don't diss on Pokemon - it teaches small children the good values (like loving and caring for their pets for one) that weren't taught to the unfortunate kids who grow up watching half-baked shows like SDF Macross or the Robotech Macross Saga. It's in Macross 7, that those unfortunate kids finally get to know better. Late bloomers who are laughing at other people, are really laughing at themselves.
  3. Nice and clean work CaptRico. But the outlines are still too dark and thick imo. Nothing wrong with that, it's just a matter of one's preference or the style applied. Since this came up... As far as "copyright ownership" for this piece of CGI coloring work you did, both you and Albert own this artwork piece (even though you did all the coloring work), because it is totally based off his original sketch - Which means, if you intend for it to be used for business/money making, even if you have Big West or Studio Nue's permission; you still need Albert's consent.
  4. Can we also have the Stunning and Astounding pics of the Gerwalk and Battroid modes too?
  5. Not bad CaptRico, but if you can, your black outlines can use a little lightening. Albert's lines are very delicate and subtle. JOO HEAR THAT ALBERT?! COME OUT AND PLAY!!!
  6. COME BACK ALBERT WE MISS JOO! Looking forward to see your magic CaptRico.
  7. I wouldn't mind a date with her... I'd let her feel my biceps, on the condition that she tell me where Basara is hiding so I can seek him out and eat him. Duude, we know you're a meat eater, b-but JOO likey TEH BONE?!
  8. Well, to me, they did kick it up a notch when they made Voltron go on a diet... I think the Toynami one looks like it stepped right out of the show. I wonder how they're going to get his weapons in there with all the safetly laws around.... Man, that old sword was brutal! Die cast! Man, you could sharpened that thing into somethin deadly..... er. The old Golion/Voltron design in old anime never looked consistent anyway, so Toynami's take on it, falls within that inconsitency. It is interesting to see what Toynami has come up for Voltron now - what with all the better articulation and all, but as usual, Toynami's price is killing it imo. Hopefully the end product will be greatly improved, from aesthetic details, to everything a Voltron should have to match the asking price.
  9. The other one.
  10. Yup, you do have a Guts fetish. For now, I only have the Black Swordsman with the backdrop, the green cape Hawks soldier version and both Caska and Griffith. I didn't get the newer versions of the adolescent Guts figures cuz I think the sculpts are not very nice. Maybe I just like the anime renditions more than the manga's take on the his character design. Oh yeah, there is a bloodied version indeed. Here are the pics...
  11. Thanks again dejr8bud! It's set then, cuz I too, like Guts' character that much LOL! I'll get one (hopefully the bloodied version). It's because without them, I feel the action figure is a bit empty. Btw, do you (or anyone here) have the regular Yamato 7" Guts Black Swordsman, and it's Millenium Falcon variant? I know the figures' poseability is very limited (I have the Black Swordsman w/ the backdrop version) but the sculpt is very nice! And it's slightly better than the 12" sculpt IMO. Just wondering cuz no one here talks about them.
  12. Thanks for the pics dejr8bud. How are the seperate pieces of the armor holding up? Are they snug?
  13. The Agent ONEs of the world are collectively crying and jacking off on doorknobs in sadness. Vostok 7 Why?! Why must doorknobs (and the people who use them) always suffer?! ::BoB plants a claymore mine under his doormat::
  14. Repeated kicks to the groin is worse - Atleast you kinda see it coming at the very last minute. This is something else.
  15. Thanks Graham and dejr8bud. And dejr8bud, the close-ups and any additional info of him will be very much appreciated. Would like to look at Gut's face sculpts as well, to make my decision.
  16. Question for those in the know - It has to do with the price level of such 12" figures like Guts, the Medicom Rocketeer, Dragon/Yamato Kerberos Panzer Cop and etc. Why are they so expensive? Has it got to do with the scupltors' fee, Mold fee, the licensing price, limited numbers, detailing and gimmickry? Or all? It's because I've been a transforming robot toy collector mostly, and maybe I've assumed that this toy genre is one of the most expensive of all, as oppose to something like high quality 12" figures. I want to have the 12" Guts. But I would like to have an understanding before I greenlight myself to do it. There is also the SOC Zanbot 3 to consider, on top of the other Macross toys I'm going to buy.
  17. I like the second one too, especially with the stingray shape that inspired the design. Maybe you can add a little more detail like minute jagged protrusions to make it look more menacing. Since you've used the stingray (I don't know how far you intend to redesign it), it could be a good idea also, to allow the tail to break loose and free (like you would a whip) - That could serve as a tactical move for the ship to defend it's rear with it's gun or projectile weapons or whip/crash on the enemy ships at close range. Just a thought.
  18. Taken directly from ToyboxDX's Glossaly DX! POPINIKA/ POPYNICA - A word made by combining "Popy" with the Japanese spelling of the word "Mini-Car." (Mini-Car is the Japanese name for "hot wheels" or "matchbox"-style car toys.) Popinika are representations of the cars, motorcycles, rockets, aircraft, and other vehicles used by animated and live-action characters in their respective shows. The release of the first popinika predates the first Chogokin by several months. For more hobby-related words, go:- http://toyboxdx.com/glossary.html
  19. SOP is different. It's more focused on the anime vehicles. SOC (GX) and the usual Chogokin (GD), not The Chogokins have always focused on robots; and I've always had this impression that anime robots with at least 20 years of history are bestowed the SOC title. I was proven wrong with the Eva units inclusion - perhaps the sure-sale figures has proven too irresistible to the fellas at Bandai to deviate abit.
  20. If you're talking about the Yamato/Art of War release, that's what I want to know as well. Where else is Guts available? Last I saw, he was listed in HLJ and bloody expensive too. http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?AOW01012
  21. Actually, the hold was broken by Getta Dragun and gang. Dancougar arrived just before the dark days of the EVAs.
  22. Yay! The dark hold of the anorexic, basketball boots wearing cyborgs over the SOC realm is finally over! Zanbot 3! Zanbot 3!
  23. Tell me, if you're a lonely Kasumi fanboy, would you wanna use a pillow like that for sitting on, or for awesome?
  24. I happen to stumble upon the gif animation in the frakkedgaijin.com site. They happen to be discussing the same topic as well.
  25. I see and agree with you completely. Well, there is no harm in getting a Kasumi even when one is already blessed with a real girl in his life - at least there are no mind games. Just make sure one also invests in a chastity closet with an Everlast lock for those uncertain moments.
