Literal meaning: anime is a borrowed word from english, "Animation". And since romaji does not have a "-tion/sion" sound they drop it so it becomes "Ah-ni-meh". Other examples: Television = Teruvi, Mass Communication = Massu Commi etc etc etc. Normally, we just use it to differentiate between non-japanese and japanese cartoons. back to topic......what's wrong with my Grimlock?

Got my Grimlock few days ago but only had time to play around with it yesterday without transforming it, yet. Initial reactions...very solid build...and heavy! I don't know where the weight comes from since ppl mention there's not much die cast but it definately feels solid and heavy. Red/blue visor eyes for you to choose, either to be more anime-accurate or toy-accurate, i thought this was a pretty cool gimmick. Shiny! The chrome pieces were kinda offputting to me at 1st and I'd probably preferred a flat gold/yellow but in the end I grew on it and liked the bling on Grimlock. Issue: I haven't played around with it much and it might be a non-issue , but is anyone having problems with the left shoulder? Mine doesn't secure into the housing in robot mode leaving a very slight gap due to the weight of the hands. I tried pushing the shoulders together so it will stick but it comes loose off the housing immediately.There feels to be a magnet in that area as well though i can't confirm it.

I love the art style as well. No issues with the art style. But the engine's anti-aliasing needs some work...hopefully future games will utilise the CANVAS engine and eliminate the aliasing. Read somewhere that said the rumored price drop was in fact a PS3 console Pre-packed with Resistance and some other racing game which name i forgot....but it is at the same retail price as now. So basically you're getting 2 games free for the same price, not a price drop.

I doubt its the art style though. Why take away from aesthetics and make straight lines look jagged? Well 1st time i saw it at my friend's place i didn't really realised the jagged lines...probably because he wasn't using a true HD tv and i was sitting far away from it. Probably more noticeable when you're using a 1080p monitor where you sit just about a feet away. I'll take the game to another friend's place and see how it looks there. I think the 4 lights on Jupiter were the original GN drives being developed, so possibly not a sequel. We know at least in the world of 00, no aliens were discovered yet and Aeolia was some kind of geek, preparing the world to possibly meet with aliens. Innovators are around to facilitate the dialogues with E.T life.
