I would like the TV style elbows, but not the chnage in colour. Is it just me, or do I see absolutely no change in the base colour of the TV VF-1J to the DYRL valks? Someone confirm? Why is it Grey PVC and not Grey plastic????

actually, the Catapult is what you should refer it more as it appears. There's not enough visual in that design to actually make it look more like a Timberwolf (MadCat) or (even harder to justify) a Marauder. in fact the torso sections remind me of the Stone Rhino or a Project Phoenix: Marauder in fact. more than a few possible court cases in that design. Definately a catapult.

That's an interesting way to look at it. And I think I agree. Despite Gunbuster being a parody/homage to super robo anime, I kinda liked it for what it was, an epic space opera. And I think most of us here are like that and expect some sort of epic space drama sequel. Overall, it doesn't feel like the 1s gunbuster, but i'll give it a chance, being a huge Gunbuster fan and all that. And about Buster Machines, yes i'm quite sure there are a number of Buster Machines right now, since during Noriko's time, they had those Silver something mass production buster machines..... But I STILL can't get over the fact that the new Buster machine looks like a delinquent high school student.

Its not surprising considering the number of anime/manga turned into Live Action series in Japan. But for Saikano, I have extra interest for it. I loved the anime/manga.....I am interested how they will pull it off for the LA series/movie. I wonder what the OVA be. A re-telling, or maybe centered around another character?

Well this sequel to Gunbuster really shot up there from a epic story into something wacky, like FLCL. The Buster Machine i believe is modeled after one of those stereotypical highschool gangsters ....what with the long "unbuttoned" jacket and all. I dunno.....i can grow to like the series, just abit disappointed that this show will continue the gunbuster saga.

And thus....a scalper/conman is born.

Just came back from the Sneak Preview, and the movie was hilarious. But the Puppet sex scene was there, and it was pretty graphic. I am curiuos how a puppet sex scene looks like now....

Interesting... The exact same problem on mine too. I thought I got a faulty one. What do you mean, "put something between the joint"? How? Also, the bonnet popped off... On the whole, though, pretty much everything that sucked about the Subarus has been fixed for this toy, which is cool. Except the elbow articulation. My right arm pops off from the joint connecting it to under the tire space of the chest. Sorry I lack the proper terms for the joints , but its like 2 bits stuck into a hole beneath the front tire area. How tight the joint is , is how far apart these 2 bits are from each other. So I would think if you put something between these 2 bits to make them seperate by JUST a bit, it would tighten the joint. I'm not sure what I should use though. I was thinking cutting up a piece of my eraser and just stuff it in between them bits. SLE: I'm not from the US.
