  1. Don't forget the laleelaleiloo.....or whatever it is.
  2. Don't get me wrong. When i ask "how fast" i meant it as how fast can you comfortably transform the valk, not like a nerdy ego competition thing. I just realised how fast and familiar i was when i transformed the stealth valk pretty quickly.
  3. Oh come on. What can you tell from the screenshots? Practically nothing except that the main character isn't a metrosexual male. The trailer was really jaw dropping. In one scene, she anti-gravs the "dogs" that were pouncing on her, slowing them down, then proceeds forward to slash a few soldiers and then she fires a spell/explosive behind to where the dogs were then the explosion damages all the units on the screen.....this can mean some things. Its still ATB turn based but with a limit of more enemies on the screen? (in contrast with the traditional 3-4 enemies on screen at any one time) 3rd person real time but able to do special moves ala Kingdom Hearts 2? I am quite sure the armour is some form of anti grav cause everytime her armour has that blue sizzle, she appears to be weightless.
  4. Everything bout her is nice, cept the face....slightly wrong. Hawt!
  5. Seems like Snake and Otacon are still morally obligated to stop the loolalelalooo/patriots/ or whoever is behind the scenes in distributing Metal Gears around the world and in this case, staged wars? I believe MGS 2 was abit too fantastic in storyline and was quite a huge gap jumped from MGS 1. MGS 4 is an EVEN bigger leap from where MGS 2 left off. I think they should've made more games of the events in between. Now everything is weirded out. You know, i won't be surprised if Snake somehow gets a cure for his FOXDIE but ends up being the new BIG BOSS aka misunderstood bad guy by the end of MGS4. People will further reveal to him that he has become what the patriots has planned for years, and a success of the Les Enfants Terribles (was it what it was called?) program. Geeez .....do Konami games always have to be this confusing?
  6. Is that why snake has become so philosophical, cause he knows his time is up? Btw thanks F360 for the link, but i got annoyed since it kept getting cut off. Here's another link, which you can use your download managers on. http://playstation3.gaming-universe.de/dow...ler2_E32006.wmv
  7. This is me at the singapore air show, next to a USMC F-18. I'm squinting. Sun was hot as hell. >_<
  8. That's why I use my grilfriends nail polish I'd never buy it myself. And it's actually worse if you try to explain that you need it to tighten a toy!! 399948[/snapback] Its even worse when i had to ask my parents for KY Jelly yonks ago and i tried to explain to them i needed it to build my Evangelion model. (Slipping the plastic skeleton into the rubber suit is a bitch)
  9. Actually I sorta remember FOXDIE was used as a selective killer. Snake was the vector for it to infect other members of FOXHOUND but he wasn't really infected. He just infected the other members most notably, Liquid Snake. Decoy Octopus died almost immediately to it, the ninja was affected by it, Liquid got a heart attack from it at the end. So i'm not really sure if its FOXDIE that Snake is ailing from. And even if its, why is he taking ages to die?
  10. Is the 15 minute trailer the one they showed when this thread was created? The one where Snake scans the battlefield and talks to Otacon? If not, is there a downloadable version cause my streaming SUCKS.
  11. You can transform from fighter to battroid and back in 30??? I'd like to see a vid of that.
  12. New trailer out. http://media.ps3.ign.com/media/714/714044/vids_1.html The story seems to be set in a future world where wars are no longer fought based on ethnicity, hatred or resources. They sound more to be like contests. This is a world where everything is controlled and regulated. Combatants on the battlefield have nanomachines in them, that control every aspect of them from emotions to battle performance. In other words, war has become a huge movie setup by a director....and this is the tone of the new MGS 4. I can see where Kojima is going with this, however hokey it may sound. But story aside, from the trailers: The new mass production metal gears are confirmed to have organic MG Ray-like legs. Raiden chops one off and blood spurts out. Raiden looks kickass. Liquid Snake seems to have fully assimilated Revolver Ocelot. Roite.... Snake is OLD.......tired, and just wants to die. Phooey. This sounds like the end of Snake. Snake hasn't lost his right eye. Returning casts are Naomi Hunter (from MGS one) Colonel Ray Campbell (MGS one and the MG games before that) Meryl Silverburgh (MGS one, now member of the new FOXHOUND, still looks young) Liquid Ocelot (All MGS ,Liquid snake apparently took over Ocelot's body) Raiden (MGS 2,looks badass) Otacon (MGS 1,2 looks older and haggard)' all that and no Mei Ling. BLEH!
  13. FFXIII looks AWESOMEZZZZ. Thanks for the link. I prefer it to be sci-fi personally. I swear i designed a gunblade similar to the one she has. Damn you Square ENIX!! Not sure if the battle is turn based or real time, but the main char looks like she's capable of matrix-like acrobatics. Her armour sizzles with energies as she does flips....so i'm assuming she has some kinda anti-grav device or something.
  14. I remmeber when i bought my 1st 1/48 during my last year of University 2 years ago. It was a 1/48 Roy Focker. The thing felt like 200 bucks in my hand ready to dissolve. Boy was I nervous as hell the 1st time round trying to transform the SOAB. Due to the various ratchet joints and pretty tight hooks (especially the 1st hooks you have to disengage on the legs from the body) those were secured pretty hard. I remmebered trying to pull the legs out with much fear. When i finally did, the knee ratchets clicked loudly and the legs came off. I was like "OMFG....did i break it?" Glad that I have not broke it, i continued transforming it and the next tough part were the hands which had to be pushed into place for gerwalk mode. The damn things wouldn't budge into place and i was scared as hell to push it with all my strength. Then came the trickiest part. The chestplate/heat shield. Once you got all the pieces out of their securing hooks, the whole 1/48 turned into a puppet on strings. The chest plate came off loose, the cockpit/nose cone folded itself and hung precariuosly on the shoulder hinges.....i was like...omfg......its like jelly and everything was loose as heck. I finally got it all together in battroid mode in.....an hour plus. That was the story of my 1s 1/48 valk. I swore that the Roy Focker, being a really expensive toy, would be my 1st and last 1/48 ever. After all, why would i want variants of the same toys painted differently with different heads? Boy was I wrong. I bought the max VF-1A on clearance, and a hikaru VF-1A also on clearance. The rest was history. Before i know it, i have : Roy 1S Hikaru 1A Max 1A Hikaru 1S Hikaru 1J Stealth 1J So with the latest incarnation, the stealth, i transformed it right into battroid to check for any QC problems. I did it with amazing speed and familiarity. Rachets clicking, hooks cracking as they came off their housings. All in all, i took 1 minute 25 seconds to transform it from fighter to battroid and back. (not counting the time i took to examine for QC problems) It felt like a soldier who could field strip and reassemble his M-16 in seconds. So how fast can you transform your 1/48 now?
  15. I'm not sure if we're both talking about the same thing, but if you say what should be there isn't there...... i'll take your word fer it. Using graham's instruction scans to show ya: The 1st one shows the new hinge (not in the VF-1) for the backpack that has to go up at a 45 degree angle so the backpack sits closer to the body. Not very sure about what the "snap lock on the sway bar" is. The circled part probably shows your sway bar, but look to the right picture as it shows the hinge folded up in and colored differently to highlight it. So you probably talking bout something else? Item 13: http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/v...ructions-16.jpg For the 2nd one i admit it isn't very clear but i didn't have a problem with it. Cause the picture shows that you have to put the hinge on top of the hole but not pushed in. You have to cover the nose cone flap over the hinge.....then press it in and it all goes in easily. The right side picture shows how the hinge should be outside the nose cone flap when its pressed into place. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/v...ructions-15.jpg But overall i didn't need to look at the instructions. I just watched out for "new parts" and made sure i didn't moved things where they weren't made to move. It was simple enough.
  16. I'd guess....a fart ran through a synthesizer.
  17. I only have one which is the zeta. Its pretty cool but became floppy with extended play. Maybe the floppiness is due to its transformation.
  18. Wow....when entering Sony, its like entering an aeroplane.

    Question......

I suddenly feel bestowed with the knowledge of the cosmos. My life was a lie. Its caving in on me! NOOOOOOO!!!!!
  20. Dude they did. Page 16, item 13, side picture. They did again, page 15, item 12. Genius. Keeps the valk minty fresh too. I'm gonna try it with that plumbing tape (the one u use to wrap around water pipe joints) which is soft and discreet.
  21. Mine had abit of minor problems. Cockpit canopy has scratches but barely noticeable. And since the visor now is clear, you can see very clearly the ugly "eyeball" peg and mine had "cracks" behind that otherwise wouldn't be visible if the visor was colored.
  22. Hermione pasted over your friend's face. Now that i'm home and able to scrutinise the picture.
  23. Again, i personally think die cast can do more to break a toy more than actually making it durable. Joints become looser, toy is heavier hence harder fall should they fall, parts break off easier especially on transforming toys as the joints can handle the weight, paints chip off easier, etc etc. I agree with Graham that despite loose joints, the VF-0 is very durable. One minor complaint to add that nobody has said, is the hook above the air intakes. On the VF-1, it was an actual hook that hooks the intakes on to the body of the fighter or gerwalk so the legs/intakes stay stuck to the body. On the VF-0, i can't see clearly but the hook is now a hexagonal nub that goes into a cavity in the body, and no longer a hook. Due to this, the intakes don't stick as well to the body as the VF-1's did.
  24. Yeah...i think the low viz-ish sticker sheet will work for the Stealth. Hey anasazi, do you think will you be able include put the zentraedi kill markers on the stealth sheet, like the ones on the Blue Roses and Enigma schemes?
  25. I want the long story now!!!
