How so? All EVA01 did was got it to the surface. EVA01's left hand gets dismembered, then its power runs out and subsequently gets pwned. Later, it goes berserk pulls out angel's hands to make it part of its hand, then kicks it proceeds to eat it. Nah....Satchiel was more awesome by far. AT Field tearing, hand breaking, core stabbing goodness.

So much for armour. Haha. Now paste an image from mac7 showing those monster pilots as old farts. I believe they have a similar shot of them in the cockpit.

At the risk of getting flamed, I agree with your sentiment. Too bad Eva01's role was reduced into a deus ex machina device for the end of the world. But doesn't matter. Eva02 kicking ass was awesome enough. And throughout the series, the only worthy action worth mentioning about EVA01 was the 1st one against Satchiel. Every other encounter with an Angel was pretty fast and not as exciting.

I didn't like Flyboys. It felt too blatantly "American". Americans save the day once again! Woohoo the french are idiots but the Americans win against surmountable odds! Ooh and lets not forget the hero must always have a love interest! Then they did some pitiful amount of character development for everyone in the squadron so you're supposed to feel sorry that some of them died? Pffft.....not in the least. 300 isn't safe from the trappings of Hollywood but isn't so blatant so its all fine and good.

I agree. I prefer some new content rather than remaking. Look at Gundam and how much it has expanded. To date we haven't seen a remade One Year War Gundam (thought Seed was a retelling). We get side stories and all that but no remaking. Time to move on I say. Besides DYRL? could be called a remake already. And...anybody got new news about this?

Just seen it! OMG this show is awesome beyond awesome! I've not read Frank Miller's graphic novel so bear this in mind when reading the review. The show isn't 100% historically correct, but entertainment value it delivers! Really nice action choregraphy. Some people complained about the backdrops which look too "unreal" but to me , the sepia-ish backgrounds serve its purpose. It truly feels like an epic battle. Me being from Malaysia which has its R movies censored (yeah its stupid, tell me about it) was fortunate enough to catch it in almost all its glory. The only parts cut out were some snippets of naked oracle and the love scene between Leonidas and his wife. Not too important. And i just love Leonidas' sarcastic remarks. Haha. Not Greekish i'm sure, but they were funny. (although i felt that i was the only one laughing in the cinema....) Great show! Highly recommended.

That would be from the Evangelions 2 PS2 game. I believe the Eva 01 Type F was aquired if you go through certain routes in the game (which obviously is different from the anime) Sadly, Gainax has went down the route of Cow milking. I dunno if there was a manga made later based on the game. Keith: Have you seen Mahoro 2 and This Ugly and Beautiful World? I thought those were horrendous. Haven't seen Melody Of Oblivion and dun know if i should. Then there's that Gungen Larren anime that's coming out soon.

Really awesome. But wasn't the military doing something similar? I believe I read it in the Weapons or Science thread. Can't remember if it had jet engines but they wanted to use it to drop para troopers far from a landing zone so they can glide with the wings towards it at low altitutes.

I guess...but only the Yamato was released under the SOP line. I rememebred seeing Arcadias about the same size and grade and found out those were pretty old and didn't have a SOP label on them. I guess you have the dreaded 3ROD problem (3 Rings Of Death) which Microsoft has 1 to 1 replacement policy. Not sure what causes it though. Mine is 6 months old ( i bought 2nd hand) and no such problems yet.

There was a Macross mod for Homeworld 2 but i don't know if that was ever completed. The guy doing it posted it on MW as well.

It was kinda annoying when team mates kept flying kick and "super spin attack" you. >_< Not that they could help it sometimes.

IMHO its good but not as great as Top 1, as many people here have atested. I think Noriko himself hates it though.
