  1. On the contrary, I actually i felt that Blizzard does revolutionise their games somewhat. War3 brought along RPG elements with the standard RTS to create some interesting strategy options during multiplay. Its flexible game engine and easy-to-use editor package spawned some awesome custom maps. Starcraft was probably the 1st RTS to successfully create 3 distinct races with different flavours of play but remained balanced enough for multiplayer. And i think for that time, the game engine allowed for a large number of sprites to be on screen and on the map, never before on any other RTS at the time.
  2. For the record, my friend's box just 3ROD-ed.....and another friend 2 months ago. I feel afraid for my box now. Its like a timebomb waiting to happen.
  3. Refer above post. I didn't really like starcraft as a game but the story rocks so i just play the campaign. The multiplayer I felt was just all about who can come up with the most units 1s to rush the other player.
  4. I was hoping some sorta revolutionising to the engine like maybe changed it to squad based units like in C&C 3 and WH40k.....better scaled units/buildings, that sorta thing, fully 3D environments with destroyable surroundings...shrug. Maybe make the whole game with the defunct Ghost engine, rather that Warcraft 3 derivative engine. Was hoping for too much I guess.
  5. Looking at the screenshots, sad to say that it looks like the old starcraft with shinier and cleaner graphics. I would've thought they should've reinvent the game altogether.
  6. Really? I loaded it just fine seconds ago. Who's the guy in the video? Interesting that the computer console where his name was on is in Korean and he speaks korean, everyone was cheering. Was that Raynor?
  7. Got my ghost. Here's my mini review: The ghost is a piece of moulded plastic. Nothing near an engineering marvel. So everyone knows that by now. Being a piece of moulded plastic, i would've expected some kinda complexity involved when you attach it the VF-0S (yeah i put mine on Roy). I was kinda disappointed though that the parts where it attaches itself to the valk is not secure, I feel. It attaches and "locks" at only one point, which is when the ghost's forward canards are folded down, and it becomes into "pegs" to be put under the plastic "humps" that you're supposed to remove from your VF-0 and replace with the ones that came with the ghost. The new humps have a cavity for you to put the rocket launcher another cavity for the ghost's canards to go into. This is the only part where your ghost will connect to your VF-0. The ghost's back just slides in between the tail fins of the VF-0 and doesn't lock or anything. It just slides. If having one locking point wasn't bad enough, the "humps" that came with the ghost didn't fit tightly into my VF-0. They're loose as heck and come off if i turned the bird upside down. No barrel rolls for me. Easily fixable with nail polish i reckon, but I never got around to that. That said, the ghost is just "sitting" itself on my Valk. Any gentle nudge will knock it over. Pros: At least they tampo printed the kites...... Cons: Loose "hump". Not enough locking points between the ghost and the VF-0. Doesn't feel secure.
  8. Episode 7 is made full of win.....and hints a sad foreboding of someone's eventual death. Anyway, 1st looks at a Yoko PVC. http://heiseidemocracy.com/2007/05/16/figu...r-hd-exclusive/
  9. I can only imagine the "sneakiness" of the T800s happening as a one-off devastating surprise attack. All the T800s look like Arnie right? Not sure if Skynet is smart enough to make other human templates, but even so, the T800s infiltrate deep into the ranks of Comtech and await the time to strike. They surgically remove and assasinate top resistance leaders while keeping a low profile within their ranks. It won't be long before they are found out and destroyed and Comtech would've found countermeasures by then but not before suffering heavy consequences. (Metal detectors in front of all doors? ) As someone already said, Terminator 1 was your normal "indestructable killer killing and stalking people with a sci-fi twist", like Friday the 13th, Halloween H20, Texas CHainsaw Massacre...shrug. Those sorta stuff. Just minus the teeny boppers. I don't really want Terminator to go back to "its roots".
  10. Don't know what you're getting at, but that looks like a battleship with legs. Probably the same one grown-up-simon is commanding in the 1s few minutes of Gurren Lagann episode 1.
  11. That would be right. Skynet knew it is losing the war and did something to prevent that. But in Terminator series, it seems Skynet's future runs parallel to "current time" as everytime it sends a termie back to the past and it fails, he can't send it back further into time to undo that mistake. (Maybe kill Sarah Connor's grandad instead of killing her) Frankly the only way for the Terminator franchise to go is the drama/sci-fi aspect that can be milked from the 2029 era. Since T2, i already got bored with the sci-fi horror/thriller of robots from future coming to the past to assasinate ppl. If they did T4 again that a cyborg liquid metal dog was sent to the past to kill John Connor again.....i'm sure to bust some heads.
  12. This DS has seen better days. http://bigfootkevin.livejournal.com/635585.html
  13. This can either be really bad or really good. It can go down the path of robocop with its mundane minimovies.....or it can be a new cool thing. Maybe follow the adventures of John Connor and Kyle Reese before sending Kyle back to the past to impregnate John's mom. XD
  14. LOL @ Rei, Asuka, Nono, Lark and Mahoro as bath house girls wearing Daicon bunny girl outfits. But wonder if the recap-ish episode is due to the producer leaving the team, to buy time to re-organise their work perhaps.
  15. Cool....megatron looks less "alienny" and they fixed his window wiper hands. Starscream has the inverted knee legs. Hmmm...maybe he can have a gerwalk mode?
  16. My PC sux and i don't have the funds to buy a new one that can play C&C 3 so i guess the most economical way is to buy the game for the xbox360. Anyone bought C&C 3 on xbox? Read some reviews online and seems general consensus is controls are too clunky on the joypad.
  17. I just viewed the newtype scan image of the EVA00 at its original size and realised the shield is called ESV, Enchanted Shield of Virtue? WTF? So much for the bottom of a space shuttle.
  18. I dunno, I guess everyone is entitled to complain here, even if its in every other yamato thread. But BoB still has been buying latest yamato stuff despite his constant complaining
  19. Future QC problem.....battery for the fold booster explodes with 5-10 minutes use. (Refer to Sony Battery callback case some months ago)
  20. The knee joint swivels with the leg so yes it swivels one way only, unlike the traditional VF series which moves both ways. To illustrate my point better, in gerwalk mode, the SV-51 has 1 front toe and 2 back toes. In battroid mode, its 2 front toes and 1 back toe. It still bends the same way.
  21. If its a whole new take, i'd rather they just made a brand new original mecha flick with sadamoto designs.
  22. Ahhh...OFP was the precurssor to Battlefield-type games. Too bad that OFP didn't get quite the following it deserved.
  23. Kevin Costner's "The Postman" might've ran parallel with Fallout.
  24. Some G1 reissues sold under a series called "Encore". http://www.hlj.com/hljlist2/?Dis=2&Mac...p;SeriesID=1735
  25. Scorponok and Blackout GATTAI.....or am i posting old news? XD http://www.seibertron.com/news/view.php?id=10206
