Shotai IS squadron right? Its Skull shotai in SDF Macross as well if i'm not mistaken. Otherwise how else would you translate it?

I'm really glad that Skull Squadron feels like a real special forces squad. They have a "sniper/sharpshooter, an ELINT for recon and intelligence gathering, a commander unit, and .....i guess Alto's the grunt? In contrast, Diamond Force and Emerald Squadron are just elite ace squadrons despite having special forces mecha.

It was very much like Shinji's knife attack, from the charge, to the way the knife was held. Don't see how it looks anything like Isamu's bayonet attack. About knife, nope not yet at least. But generally any blade that can cut through stuff that conventional weapons can't is usually a: a.) beam blade b.) vibro blade And in ep2, both seem plausible since it has a greennish shine. Don't think the shine is there just to "look cool".

Actually yes. But seriously its more of a laziness go out to buy it, and then to do migration and setup of the PC rather than financial restrictions. I been using this laptop for what....5-6 years now? (damn its been that long?) The prog knife was indeed cool. The Vajra took missiles, gunpods and everything barely able to scratch it (just like in EVA) but a prog knife gets the job done proper.

Not true. They have the S-Gundam/EX-S in a few incarnations , most notably the highly sought 1/100 MG kits. They also have the FAZZ and Zeta from Gundam Sentinel. But the kits are pretty old so i don't know how they stack to today's standards.

Or Do both like most subs. This is my personal opinion but if i wanted HD i would go buy the DVDs so i'm satisfied with low quality fansubs for "preview" purposes. But then again this is Macross and it may not be released stateside. Oh and also my pc can't play HD files...and smaller files are always welcome. I don't have a wide-a** screen so it makes no difference to me.

I'm liking it. Has a "feel good" thing for it and the "we all are people too so lets be friends" theme as well. In fact top of my head, it feels like Ace Combat 6 storyline. I guess they'll eventually meet Lilia and her hot shot oniisan pilot who will join the treasure hunt.

Yeah....i was being an Azrael and thought something like this was the scenario on the DE episode. Ranka had traumatic past with the Vajra thus her paralysing terror when encountering one. Ozma knows what the Vajra codenamed Victor are and was probably one of the 1st soldiers to encounter them....and he saved Ranka from them. Why he quit the military...maybe just to give in to his adopted sister's panderings. Ranka definately has the "Anima Spiritia" or whatever song powers that the Vajra seem to seek.

I will have to agree to a certain extent. Definately better than ep 1 release. Could use translations of OP lyrics but meh...works for me. The lack of subs for Frontier has left me in despair. I refuse to watch it raw due to the fact my PC can't handle HD resolutions and lack of subs. Damn those ppl who are discussing it in the talkback threads.

I'm currently watching this , as stated in pinned "What Current Anime Series Are You Watching" thread, it feels like Ghibli with abit of Last Exile. If anything watch out for the fighters. They're like Sky Crawlers/Crimson Skies kinda thing.
