  1. Looks like these CMs will sell pretty cheap once the competition hits the market, MH or Beagle. We better go easy on these little fellas for now as they're so steep and in such high demand.
  2. It's been said thousands of times already: There's no such thing as a 1/48 Thunderhummer! It's sad how so many people likes to jump into nonsense so easily. Next time we'll be talking about Yamato doing cheap non transforming superposeables. Yeah, right.
  3. I'm curious about the tightness of the figure. Maybe SAVEROBOTECH could shed some light on the matter
  4. Nice. I dig the 21 the best, but I might pick up one of each just for fun. Too bad about Kaiyodo not producing Macross Revs anymore. One less chance to see new destroid and enemy mecha toys.
  5. As I suspected and judging by the instruction sheet, the CMs is as perfect transformation as the old Gakken was. You still have to detach the front and rear armor plates, so I'll stick with my Mega Houses. To be fair, CMs' look like a lot of fun, but a bit pricey compared to MH's. Too bad we didn't had them back in the 80's, I would've loved them when I was a kid.
  6. I'd say by the time they release the VT-1, Yamato will have al the potential issues figured out. Aside from the cockpit, it's not that different from any other VF-1 with FPs
  7. I think the big gaps have something to do with the materials used on the prototypes. Resin prototypes tend to have more gaps than their plastic production counterparts, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. I too have a long list for this line, but I'm also waiting for the second releases. That will give me time to recover from my recent purchases.
  8. Congrats, dude! Hey, can you confirm the arms are stored without the use of magnets to attach to the bike's main body? Thanks in advance.
  9. I just noticed. Seems like the Proto holds the arms without magnets in bike mode this time, which means no more broken back syndrome! I wonder if I can mod my other two Garlands to fix that problem. It's been bugging me since I first got my red one.
  10. Maybe Danth is right and we'll see Beagle's or Mega House's version soon. Maybe they're at it right now gauging the interest of the consumers towards CMs'!
  11. I can't afford to be a completist right now, so my money is on the MH line. I'm a PT zealot myself, but according to the original design, the front shocks connect to the back of the armor to give the pilot additional strength, like that exoskeleton that's been around the net. So far no Mospeada toy has ever accomplished that, so my priority now is the looks of it. MH has the best looking toy by far. I have serious doubt that the CMs one has the kind of Perfect Transformation that, let's say, the 1/48 has. I reserve my judgement on the Beagle one, since they seem decided to make the most realistic looking and High End version of them all. If it turns out good and depending on the price, I'll pick up at least Stig's.
  12. As much as I want to, I just can't justify buying this: cheap looking, absurdly expensive, inaccurate and in some areas, just plain ugly: I just can't see why they decided to go with the folding out legs. That doesn't just makes the fighter looks off, it also makes the knee hinge looks terrible in Soldier mode. If they decided to make compromises in Fighter mode to make a better Soldier mode, why couldn't they get the shoulders right? The mosquito nose is not only inaccurate, it also looks bad in all three modes. IMHO most of the design choices don't make sense. I can overlook the small chest intake (completely useless now that the sticking out knee admits much more air than the intake ever would), the non rotating head and the detachable landing gear in the TREAD. But I can't justify paying 300 for a toy that's worth 100 at most. I think I'll stick with my Toynamis until some other toy company makes a better set.
  13. Maybe we should poll it. I'm curious to see how many people out of X number of MW Mospeada fans will actually buy it. I feel like Godzilla: I'm sure this won't be the last Legioss/TREAD linkup we'll be seeing. And the way the CM's is turning out, it doesn't seem too hard for another company to outdo it.
  14. Ok, my two cents: I love it in every mode. The nosecone looks just right in shape and length for my tastes. The shape of the canopy (very much like the 1/48's) may have to do with the sliding heatshield that needs to be a bit flat to fit under the chest plate and over the canopy. If that's the case I'm perfectly at peace with it. I would've loved a better concealed head, but then again no VF-1 toy conceals the head completely. As for battroid, I'm very pleased with the overall proportions, but specially with the "curvier" lower legs. More anime accurate IMO. Besides I always thought the legs on the 1/48 were too flat. I also like the shape of the new backpack in Gerwalk, so I think I'll get quite a few of these, including all the cannon two seaters. I wasn't holding my breath for a new line of 1/60 VF-1's, as most scale nazis around this boards did, but I must admit that this pics revived my love for the VF-1. Now the awful waiting for the many variants begins
  15. I feel like Grand Admiral there. I can overlook the toyish looks of the Legioss and even the high price tag, but the legs in fighter mode completely ruins it for me
  16. Upon closer inspection on Kyp's green Legioss pic, it also seems like CM's cannot achieve a proper "A" stance, like most all previous Legioss toys.
  17. Even living in Mexico City has its perks: the food is cheap and the gasoline prices are a joke compared to the US's.
  18. I always prefer "too tight" than "sagging/floppy", so that's good news to me.
  19. Any news on an Ivanov reissue yet? Now that I know the Nora is flawless, I'm ready for DD's.
  20. I don't think the inbit it's a proto. Looks more like a prop sculpture made in haste for the show. As for Mint, I hope they scrap that figure on behalf of a fully poseable one, because her face is spot on!
  21. As far as I know it hasn't been reissued yet, but you can get it and ask Yamato USA for new shoulders. I did that and the replacements got here in no time. Or you can buy the pricey collector's edition that includes a red Garland with fancy metallic paint job, the movies, soundtrack CD and art book, tho' I'm not sure that one has the improved shoulders.
  22. I want an all black 21 with white or light gray stripes. Can't wait for the repaints.
  23. Using RT.com to cast the stone against Aoshima is too low, even for Toynami. With this kind of business practices it's a wonder they still exist. Edit: Don't be so hard on Jenius guys. After all he's taking the time to let us know what's going on over at RT.com. It's a dirty job but someone has to do it. Thanks Jenius
  24. Good poll, Miriya. Tho' knowing you, it was only a matter of time As for ideas, basically all the things you said. A battle damaged version would be neat and would give Yamato a good excuse to milk the mold.
