  1. Makes no sense. If Yamato is bothering in sculpting all three modes of every VF why don't they make them Perfect Transformation? This whole line sucks. JK
  2. Yeah, Toynami's aesthetics and engineering are way behind most japanese products. Beagle CADs show that the company aims for a very ambitious toy, whereas Toynami still deals with ugly bulky joints and chunky sculpt. I hope the Beagle design prevails perhaps with some healthy input from Toynami.
  3. Slow down, Ruskii. Save some dough for the second release with micro missile launchers and the inevitable Scout
  4. That's a good question. I'd also like to know what will be of the mail away weapons set on the international deal.
  5. That's always the big question with Toynami.
  6. Looks like a giant deleter doll to me. For that size and price, she should at least have better concealed joints. I like Barbie knees better, but I guess japanese collectors prefer their dolls his way.
  7. I'll probably get one too if there's a way of getting it for around the price any other 1/48. I was considering a second Roy for my Urban Camo GBP and this one is different enough to justify buying the same toy twice.
  8. My thoughts exactly. I'd say we'll see the micro missiles with a second run and then the scout. The scout has a different head/face, so that will probably have to be a whole new sculpt. I can't decide on the Mac Plus battroids. Revys will be a lot of fun to fiddle with, but the G-Nu's would look sick on the proper diorama.
  9. I agree on the pilot pushed too far forward. Yamato could've keep the whole outer cockpit design for the future two seaters and center the figure better in the single pilot versions. As it is, Yamato just left the space for the other figure behind the pilot, wich looks odd for a one seater. Besides, Roy looks awfully uncomfortable in there. Edit: Oh yeah: and the detailed boosters not only mean that the top covers opens up like the 1/48, but also that the missile/laser beam pods are swappableI say this because Yamato is obviously aiming at translate the features of the 1/48 FPs at 1/60 scale and IMHO the swapping weapons pod is a more important feature than the inner details of the boosters. I'm glad we're getting both tho'
  10. Looks like the Legioss can put the calves together in fighter mode, but needs to spread the legs when linked to the Tread. That's better, but still too expensive.
  11. I hope Yamato gives us some relief time from figure to figure. I'm not getting Atelier Sai's, too pricey. Beisdes these come with the motoslaves. I just hope this series achieves the paint finish on the armors the Atelier figures have, and that the faces can be seen.
  12. Thanks for the tip, protostar. I think it shows I'm not a models guy The tires think is specially noticeable on bike mode. The bike looks more aggressive, almost bigger altogether. I'm very happy with the looks of it now.
  13. Another possible Garland is the green cannon fodder flying one, the Strike Garland (I think that's the name). It's exactly like the first one, but it has rocket nozzles instead of tires. And there's even a rocket launcher equipped one: Edit: Looking at it, it's not quite like the first Garland, but it still looks closer to it than the E=X Garland does.
  14. Wow! The Blow Superior looks so right with those new tires. I hope the delay in the release is due to MH changing the tires on Stig's and Rey's rides also. Then again it'd be dumb to have two bikes with small tires and one with bigger ones. I'm with Ruskii on the diorama thing. The minutes I first saw MH's painted protos, I thought "damn, this figures are screaming for a nice camp diorama". I know squat about dioramas, so I'll have to start studying how to do trees, grass and such.
  15. Never heard if it. What's so cool about it? Looks like a wooden super robot to me.
  16. Damn. I had high hopes for Beagle's Mospeada too. I can't believe Beagle are even considering teaming up with Toynami whereas for distribution (meaning delay after delay), or engineering of the toy. I was happy and optimistic about this toy, now I'm scared and angry. I wish HG and George Sohn got his paws off our licenses once and for all. I used to think that the guy had good intentions being also a fan and all that, now I'm not so sure. The MPC Alpha was a good attempt, but then he didn't bother to fix the reported problems on the other releases. And then came the Aoshima fiasco. I get the feeling that the guy is becoming a cynic very rapidly.
  17. The motoslave mode design has aged well, the bike not so good. Reminds me of the first time I saw a Kawasaki Ninja on the street, I was astonished. It looks so ugly now
  18. I'm going to support the enemy mecha buying at least three regults. I hope they do variants or load the boxes with accessories. Also, maybe this will encourage Yamato to finally give us some 1/60 Regults.
  19. I think I'll wait. I bet a fast pack version of all three is on the way. I just hope they make them detachable.
  20. HAIL TO THE NEO HOLLYWOOD EMPIRE!!! Seriously, who are to be the bad guys now? Will the japanese send a massive fleet to destroy what's left of Los Angeles? If they grasped the basics of the story, they should know that Akira needs to be set in Japan. But we all know that's not going to happen, which means complete rewrite, except for the bike and the mutants.
  21. Hey Jason, could you post instructions of the mods you did? I decided to skip the CMs Legioss/TREAD combo, wich pretty much leaves me with my MPCs and the hopes that Toynami produces a decent Beta.
  22. The movie certainly is (tho' technically is astounding), the manga is great IMO, specially the ending. It does tends to derail on superfluous subplots sometimes, I give you that.
  23. Don't hate it just yet. Those prototype samples Yamato likes to use for the product shots always look kinda crappy.
  24. True. I think the audiences are ready for a newer Lord of the Rings movie adaptation
  25. I must be a telepathic mutant myself, this morning in the shower I was thinking on how cool would be to direct a movie adaptation of the manga myself, when I become a director. Too late
