  1. I'm already on the list for two sets. A Ligaa would be a must buy for me. Maybe not in 1/10 scale, but lets say in scale with the Megahouses and or the CMs Ridearmors and with Revo joints? I think you'd find enough interest in this forums alone to make a profit (Heck! Depending on the price I'd get multiples!).
  2. Grabbed Dack at my local Walmart and now my Snowspeeder crew is complete. Also picked up the C-3PO figure with the Ewoks' log chair. It lacks all the ball joints of the new Vintage Collection one, but I can't stand that toyish yellow they painted it of. Reminds me of the Droids cartoon 3PO. Besides, it's not like Anthony Daniels had a great deal of movement inside the 3PO suit anyway.
  3. Way to go, dude! I'm getting at least a couple of sets for sure!
  4. Or kit, whatever. Geez. Give it a rest.
  5. My main gripe bout this is the fact that this is a Yamato first release and I'd hate to pay 400 plus shipping for a flawed toy.
  6. Since the VF-0 fiasco, I tend to skip first VF releases as a general rule. Then again, this sculpt is so beautiful the wait could kill me. I'm not a huge Kai or Mac-7 fan mind you, but this looks so good I'll try to get all variants.
  7. My home is always the priority, so when I have an extra buck or two, I spend it on toys. But you're right, this is a model, not a toy, that's one of the reasons why I'm still thinking whether to get this or not.
  8. I was thinking the same thing. That stand doesn't look half bad.
  9. Well yeah. Don't tell me you wouldn't give this a thought if suddenly 500 bucks fell on you lap. I'm not rich or anything, but I might be able to get one, so I'm considering it. A small army of Toynami Battlepods is also an option, although to be honest I'll probably end up passing on both offerings: Toynami's is too stiff and doesn't look very well next to the 1/60's and Yamato's, well, I still have to decide if it's a ripoff or if it's worth it in the long run.
  10. I might be in for one too, if there's a group buy or something for this, please LMK.
  11. Hmmm, Right-Cora. Are these drawings in the Mospeada Complete Art Works also? (I mean the soda delivery truck and the boogie).
  12. Thanks! I feel like I just bought a membership for an exclusive and very expensive men's club, only without the strippers.
  13. I wonder if heavy and light missile pods would be too much to ask as included option parts, although what I really want is the Scout version.
  14. I almost regret not getting the Toynami Regults while I was at the SDCC. Toynami is working fast and I don't see Yamato making a Recon unit (which Toynami is likely to make) anytime soon or adding missiles as option parts with its 1/60 kit. I bet a TV Q-Rau is on the pipeline too. Still, not to keen on the lack of poseability, I understand these are soft vinyl toys, but a joint at the ankles on the Regult (like that of the main cannons), would've made a lot of difference. Decisions, decisions...
  15. I just bought a VF-1D (My first 1/60 V.2). It has a somewhat yellow tint on the canopy, but for what I've read, that's just the color Yamato painted that run in and not an issue. As for the intake tabs, I just filed them down a bit eliminating the excess of plastic on the edges as a preventive measure. I'm very impressed by this toy. At first I wasn't so eager to buy the V.2's since I've owned so many VF-1 in the past, but these are something special. I'm getting as many as I can now, that's for sure.
  16. I have the feeling that the older the property gets, the rarer and more expensive the collectibles will be, so we might as well get used to pay more and more for the bigger scales or collect the smaller toys while there are companies willing to make them. It sucks we're not Baby Boomers so we could spend our pensions in Macross stuff when we retire. As for the Yamato Regult, I want one, but the "unpainted and disassembled" part is bothering me. I don't know any modeler near me I would trust 500 bucks worth of collectibles, and besides, I'm sure if I get it, Yamato will release a cheaper assembled and painted version eventually. Might as well put that money aside: Who wants to bet the Destroid Monster is next in line to get the "model kit" treatment?
  17. Agreed. But all the Fighter mode problems on the D-Stance are sculpt problems. The engineering solutions are all there. Yamato could have outdone it very easily.
  18. The YF-21 is my all time favorite VF, yet I don't own Yamato's 1/60 because I can't stand its Battroid mode. I still think that my old 1/70 FP edition looks a ton better and I can't wait for Bandai's Hi-Metal version, so I hope Yamato revisits the 1/60 21 some day with a better Battroid in mind. I think it's perfectly possible to have both a nice looking Fighter AND Battroid modes with some creative engineering. There are great examples of this out there, like the venerable D-Stance YF-21.
  19. Now THAT's how a Battroid mode should look like. Being a Battroid guy myself I'm really hyped about this toy. If fighter mode ends up looking any good (and I'm sure it will), I think I'll skip the Hi-Metals to get this line instead. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that there's more than one scale to choose from, but this CAD made me want to get a Kai which is my least favorite 19 variant. It's interesting that Yamato seems so eager to milk the YF-19 molds all of a sudden. Maybe they're planning on rethinking the 19 eventually?
  20. Ah, cool! Thanks Sam, that's more or less what I wanted to hear. One more thing: is the canopy as loose as the earlier versions or does it hold tighter at the hinge this time?
  21. Funny, the Speeder Bike that comes with the AT-AT is the upgraded Deluxe AOTC one with accurate handles and rubber hoses (which is good), but the Driver figure is not the same as the new carded one which features ball joints on waist, elbows and ankles. Hey, Scream Man, I've been looking for reviews of the new Snowspeeder all over the internet with no luck. Any chance of a small review of yours?
  22. Finally some battroid love! If this design turns out good, we may get to see a 1/60 YF-19 V.2 in the future. Edit: Sorry, Knight26 beat me to it.
  23. Meh, I guess it's okay if you're into big scaled amazingly sculpted and masterfully painted Macross awesomeness.
