  1. Reminds me of the personal motto of my buddies and me growing up on the warf in L.A... "always carry a rock."
  2. That may be, but they're still restrictive, maybe another turret placed on top to defend against enemy close air support? You need redundant fields of fire in case one of these turrets were taken out. Sounds like a very complicated window; I'd love to take an EMP weapon to this while it was making it's approach. Survivability=redundancy and simplicity. Will there be any weapons fixed to the actual bay for it to provide it's own defense once it is detached (I assume that it'll be detached ala Starship Troopers, right?)
  3. One possible name could be "Trojan" as in the horse. If I were a grunt being deployed from this I may refer to it and it's crew collectively as "Mama Bear" since I came from it's belly, but it's still ferocious. Design mods I would make to the dropship itself would put the turrets forward and under the wings so as not to obstruct their fields of fire (or on the wingtips perhapse) also I would have glass on the lower parts of the cockpit to give the pilot more visibility and thus a better grasp of the environment that he/she was "dropping" into as well dropping personell into. I would also include some anti-personell weapons (possibly armor components that fragment outward and downward in order to clear an LZ of enemy implacements, kinda' like ship mounted claymore mines or something) to key points of the ship's underbelly. And finally I would include bomb bays designed to deliver ordinance used for creating LZ's (different bombs for different environments: incendiary for a defoliant, etc.) As for the detachable bay, It's needs LOTS of doors to give it versatility (for example, if the doors only open in the rear, and there were an enemy implacement in that direction, then every troop and vehicle being deployed is in that enemy's field of fire, but if there were mulitple doors, then the rear ones could be shut, the personell could regroup and deploy from the other side, only exposing themselve at a more advantageous time, and on their own terms. I would also heve these doors not only folding down to provide a ramp, but triple-redundant and folding out from each side to provide cover while exitting and entering. Anyways, that's how I'D build it...
  4. All the KB's in my area closed down, this sale might be an indicator of the same thing for your area... anyway, if anyone can score a 20th anni Prime for me I'd be much obliged!!!! B-
  5. Also if you have trouble recovering the data yourself, you can take it to any local techie and pay him to do it for you (In northern CA the going rate seems to be around $80 per hour for this service) just be sure you are thorough in telling him what types of file extensions to look for... Good luck!!!
  6. Hannah/Barbera from the looks of it. And exactly what ARE those turd-like things protruding from the sides of it's head; are they ears or just gay-hentai-tentacles?
  7. Gave all my old school legos to my first GF 'cause I thought I'd get some poonani outta' her over it... I was WRONG!!! Tried to shave down the sides of my 1/35 Legioss's gun-grip so that it'd fit in my Jetfire's hand... WRONG!!! Gave away all of my Orguss, Mospeada, Macross, and TF toys 'cause it was time to grow up and start chasing tail, and toys just got in the way of that... WRONG!!!
  8. Word. Word UP! And my favorite underrated toy is the 1/72 C.L.O.D. from Xyber 9... the show sucked copious amounts of ass, and most of the other toys blew but I really dig mechanical apes, and this one's got FREAKIN tank treads!!!
  9. Wow, that second monster pic is particularly inundated with gayness... looks like he's wearing some sort of gay space monster tuxedo. "oooh, what a FANCY Valkyrie fighting space monster you are!!!"
  10. So I'm looking at these Mechwarrior figs on my 1/55 shelf, and it's really bugging me that the boxes state that these are 1/55 scale when their pilot figs are around 1/72 scale in size... I'm trying to figure out if the stated scale is a misnomer or if these figs were just given the wrong sized pilots. Anyone know of a good resource for stats on the Madcat, Jupiter, Forestry Mech and the Legionairre? ...and spare me the comments about giving up on scales for toys, I know it's anal retentive and silly, but it still bugs me, alright?
  11. for those of us who haven't seen t yet, can someone please post a pic of the Valkyrie fighting space monster?
  12. Great work Seba... Mr. High-headed-no-ass would scare the bejesus outta' me in a dark alleyway... "I didn't say 'down with the system' I said 'flounders are awesome!!!' please, I don't wanna' die at the hands of an assless-wonder!!!"
  13. Image Anime has these for cheap... I just picked one up from a different etailer for a bit more, but I was impatient... I did a google search for "chogokin Aile Strike" and found several listings... however many of the stores were out of stock and my orders kept getting cancelled, which was why I got impatient and payed more for mine, but try Image Anime, good luck!!!
  14. THANKYOU for saying so!!! I really hate this paint scheme, but I didn't want to be the first to say it!!! I cringe every time I see a 1/48 (IMO) wasted on this eyesore of a paint scheme... It looks like packaging for some obscure brand of breathmints or the color scheme of a ski resort in Reno whose owner hasn't yet realized that the eighties are over... yech!!!

    VF-1 Lighter

It'd be even COOLER still if they made a Kakazaki version of this shirt, then I could go out, get into fights, and get my ass kicked!!!

    VF-1 Lighter

I WOULD like to see a t-shirt like this though: yellow and black stripes with a black Jolly-Rogers heatshield!!! Put a kite symbol on one arm and a 001 on the other, and you'd have the coolest underoos EVER!!!

    VF-1 Lighter

I think this has already been done, or something like this... actually, it's not, but funny that you mention that 'cause I've always loved that bit. No, I was actually just thinking about another idea I have for a lighter and this just sorta' popped out... there are plenty of other gun-lighters out there, so why not? I'd also like to see a fully TFing old-school megatron given this treatment, but now I'm getting OT.

    VF-1 Lighter

I was just thinking this'd be cool: A macross line of lighters where either a small non-articulated Battroid fig shoots a jet-flame from it's GU-11 or just a larger GU-11 that shoot's a jet-flame... It'd be REALLY cool if the GU-11 were 1/48 scale and could be kept in the hand of our Yammies... pro'ly a dumb idea, but I'd buy one, or two...
  19. You should click on the "I DO" It's a link to an auction...
  20. I'd like a pigmented set, will you please post if/when these are available?
  21. the missile launchers seem to coincide with the fins in the way of placement... would it look too unsightly to expand the depth of the armor (forward-to-back or "profile" dimension) so that the launchers could actually surround those fins? You could expand it enough so that the exposed missiles were only deep enough to serve as a facade to cover the fins. The down-side to that is that the missiles are non-removable, but the up-side is concealed fins and more slender armor for the legs. I personally wouldn't mind chunkier armor width, but I definately WOULD mind having to mod my 1/48.

    Minmay Guard Picture

never noticed the panties showing in the over-the-shoulder shot before... ...mmmm panties...
  23. I seem to recall that studies had proven that the optimal color for night-time ops had been a powdery pinkish-gray, but the brass in the Air Force would rather endanger some of their best pilots than have gay pink fighter aircraft... so they were painted black. I'm glad to see that the problem is being addressed.
  24. Funny thing is, I mentioned it in my second or third posting in this thread, and no one took the bait!!! Guilty as charged... I was one of the biggest whiners about the 1/60 when imperfect TF was first announced. It's still just as important to me now, I just keep it to myself more, and vote with my wallet. But, yeah, I DO want this thing to perfect TF.
