Wow what can I say but... you da man! Your 1D is gonna be protected by a lot of big brothers when it’s gets home..hehe..
-
I wonder who is managing to get it at TWE MSRP. I could have waited of course, but seems those sites already listing are locking in 3-4k yen surcharges over TWE MSRP ...
-
Got it at AE! Hope this doesnt turn out to be a dud getting it before actual pre-order release date. But at the moment, MOST STRESS FREE PO EVER! At point of PO anyway. MERRY CHRISTMAS YOU FILTHY ANIMALS!

Arcadia should also consider releasing the vf-1d ...removable limbs are something they pioneered! Always been a mind bender for me, how to get curvature details translated into software accurately and then a corresponding 3d printer to also match it from there... TECHNOLOGY!
-
I do see a slight curvature to the emblems and also slightly oval/square-ish side(?) shape which needs to be compensated. A 3d print maybe a better option for a tighter fit. Or put the 3D printed ones down for folks with $$$ (cant imagine it to be expensive to 3d print it tho) or 0 DIY skillz But yes, agree that it shouldn't be too hard to DIY. Depends on your level of OCDness Noticed it from tekerings photo few pages back..

hehe saburo squadron...yea it is a nice opportunity for a customized emblems... hmmm a nice idea for 3D printed blank placeholders too eh! Instead of having to paint over or cover over the skulls or kites... Get to it MWForummers!

@Saburo ITS ROYDAY..I'M IN LOVE... -
Thanks for the confirmation @tekering! Good to know mounting a DYRL strike VF-1S on the TV special stand is indeed an option!
-
White pumps FTW always and nice touch with hikaru in the pilot seat! Take that bandai! Not that i know of...I randomly pop there for pics and magazine scans @tekering would you mind confirming, if the VF-1S with strike packs can also fit, using the TV part transparent stand connector? Am wondering what a vf-1s roy with DYRK strike packs on the special stand would look like... Saburo, are you thinking of putting the kites onto DYRL strike packs or the skulls on TV packs?

Moar vf-1s goodness! http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=465477&extra=page%3D1&page=1 Awaits MWForum vf-1S panel line pics!

For sure, bandai's default stands are more funtional ie. do not let your expensive valk crash on the floor. The only way to spruce them up is to custom them. Or if bandai could do more like the SMS emblem stands of the VF-25's. Now that at least isnt a complete eyesore. And just add clear parts instead of black pieces for the stand arms, for goodness sake bandai! With yeti stands OOP though, bandai's special stands are the closest we can get to a stand with something macross lettering/symbol related on it at the moment. Better something than nothing kind of a situation. Plus, it puts the valks in a banking angle!

Save $ and get both. The other one thing that the TV packs have is the clear adapter for mounting on roy's special stand. Am just waiting for someone to confirm and display a DYRL pack on roy's VF-1S on a banking angle on roy's special stand... Why would you want that you may say? Well, when the roy DYRL DX does come out, then you take the DYRL roy (cos likely it will have no special stand), add the strike packs, add the clear banking adapter and roys special stand = DYRL roy with strike parts floating on a clear adapter with roy's emblem beneath it on a stand! Thanks a lot bandai!!
-
No sightings of the DYRL strike parts on the roy special stand as yet.
-
Hmm cant quite picture it. Do you have a wider different angle pic so i can understand better? Thanks again for any pointers...
-
xxxx yen per scribble...nice...
-
what modifications did you do on the clear stand?
-
same tots here...
-
awesome product arrangement!

Oh yeah, i saw that pages back. But what i read/saw had more detailed pics of the vf-1 DX neck cavity from the topside. Looked like the position of the cup which cradles the ball joint of the head is in a different position in the 1S neck. I think it was from a JP macross fan-boi who tried it...or could be one of the old collectors..

I decided not to go for the listing, as was only thinking about a second copy of the 31A. Will hold out for the most likely impossible to get arad's version, cos thats how i roll.

I read somewhere that the 1A and 1J heads were interchangeable. But 1A/J are not onto the 1S neck, due to the different ball joint used in the 1S neck cavity. Cant find the exact information/pictorial. Could be buried in the thread, but i dont think i read that here.

Never sure, but around mid-year during bandai's summer roadshow would be the next official bandai event.. No stopping them announcing earlier, but seems unlikely..

So far the only impact of the pandamic seems to be on the number of macross toy lines/scales and on the delivery chain. Demand wise, a bit hard to judge as macross releases werent produced in large numbers anyway. Time will tell if demand really sees a significant slippage.
