Always choose to buy in YEN pricing. For the price point you are buying 1 or 2 items, isn't worth paying extra to the sellers offering multicurrency hedges..

i dont think scalpers are listing on NY, but likely NY see opportunities to get some off the market in JP, and makes profit through differences in price. They might know sources to get it for perhaps 25k yen or below current YJA auction prices...

the problem with NY is that they dont say if the markup copy is via third party.... .ie. CDJ mentions proxy listings where the markup is high but they can get it for you off third party sellers.. no obligation on N-Y to mention that of course, but it leads to folks thinking NY has bad practises, after debacles... i do agree on not feeding the scalpers...

Makes you think this might be a catalyst for creating a long running demand for the 1/48 VF-1 ....if hikaru and max were unavailable, then whatever comes next will have to do until demand tapers off....that of course will have to go up against the sucky experience of getting one...which ultimately might be the downfall....

Mine too....especially when all of them get cartjacked every single freaking time! In fact, do you know i am still trying to proceed with my CDJ order? I keep pressing proceed to order button from my cart(its still there!), even tho everytime it ends up with unable to order due to bla bla bla....

I looked back on my posts during hikaru's 1j preorder and CDJ had pre-orders still available 20 mins in....probably that influenced actions moving forward a bit.. After that hikaru's 1J demand basically went supernova, since all the positive reviews and such came out....not entirely surprising what happened today i suppose, now i think abt it..... In addition to this being bandai's very first MAX VF-1 TV version ever? Anyway there is always still yammie's 1/60 1A TV version, which by now should be even cheaper. I still find the proportions on them quite perfect for a VF, despite bandai's best efforts...

exactly! felt like another world especially when i saw ami had a preorder open at the same time too.... i was trying to juggle ami's site which was flickering on and off, but NY was giving me the sequence to complete the order.... i dont know what i was clicking on tell you the truth!

Yeah i was in the ecosystem when the 1A started to list. That's why i saw a false flag of unavailable in the picture icon for the 1a max initially...kept searching and one of those tries i managed to get into the product page...And then proceeded to complete the order. Nervy stuff...felt like was under time pressure to diffuse a timebomb or something whilst i was in there.....

I saw ami's pre-order button available on my screen at that time, but i was still focused in NY. Turned out juggling 2 sites then but certainly prioritised NY as i didn't want to get booted out. A strange pre-order indeed! My thoughts focus more on a more equitable distribution model i.e. regional site set-ups and allocation quotas. But yeah we know that wont work currently for macross...
