  1. Kinda reiterated it. "Armaments Rigged-Up Moving Deck".
  2. The problem with that is, Tatsunoko, who owns the rights to the SDFM animation, isn't going out of business. In fact they became a subsidiary of Takara Co. Ltd. back in 2006.
  3. That's because there's not much mold-milking in the X-9 design.
  4. Their Gunpla prices are usually lower than HLJ. I've never had a problem with them in the 2 or so years of shopping there.
  5. Now that I think about it, they'll probably focus the ship-borne beam weapons mostly with the VFs getting honorable mention.
  6. Yeah...beam weapons seem to be the only interesting thing. I predict mentioning about head lasers, the Strike pack, the VF-4, VF-17, VF-22, and the VF-27.
  7. IIRC, they talked to Tatsunoko around 1998..1999. They're making toys (that is, Toynami is making toys for them). So technically, they are doing something.
  8. Yeah..."Stealth" VF-1 Veritech.
  9. You probably don't visit this thread much so I'll humor you. Unfortunately, it's not a "phantom license". Unless you want to file a lawsuit against them, they are not obligated to show you any contract. But it doesn't affect 7 or Frontier since those shows are not in their license. As stated, no. But they would have to change all the symbols and change the name to something other than "Macross" to get it released. Good luck with that. Licenses can be renewed, which it probably was with Tatsunoko. Trademarks last 10 years, but an "affidavit of use" and fee must be filed between the 5th to 6th year of that 10-year period followed by a renewal affidavit and fee to renew for another 10 years. Wash-Rinse-Repeat. Which HG probably has already done with the "Macross" trademark. So it's not a newbie problem. That's just how it works.
  10. I'm gonna have to agree. Risa only has.....4..5 years. Mikimoto...coming up on 30 years in the business. Hell, we're talking about a generational gap here.
  11. Notes: Thanks to Gubaba for editing help. I found some parts humorous as I was reading it. It's also nice to know why things got downgraded on the C-version. That's it for this article. 7 Mechanical Sheet, UN sheet 06a VF-11C Thunderbolt Standard Armament The C-type has a single rear anti-aircraft pulse laser gun and a gun pod, which differs from the B-type, as standard equipment. In addition, it is possible to equipped a large-sized missile in the leg weapon bay, like the reaction warhead used for attacking the center of the enemy base in "Operation Stargazer". Battroid The change from the B-type is not seen in the structure of Battroid form. If the canopy cover was changed, performance limits of the fuselage itself (the overall performance is improved with the updated avionics) is equal to the B-type. However, The C-type standard equipment removed the bayonet from the gun pod, and this specification change is considered to originate with the B-type's gun pod (GU-15) having higher costs. As a result, it cannot be denied that the close-combat performance of the C-type, compared to the B-type, is inferior, and this was more or less [lit. almost] confirmed with the practical use in the Macross 7 fleet, in cases where it performed close-combat dog fighting in Battroid. The Battroid's primarily use of the gun pod was, seemingly, to maintain a wide field of fire. As for the Super parts with the C-type during re-mass production where improvements [lit. repair] were applied, the exit ports of the micro-missile launchers (HMMM-Mk6) is decreased from 4 on each [lit. left and right] side on the B-type to 2 to reduce costs. As a result, rate-of-fire [lit. rapid fire] rates are inferior compared with the B-type Super Thunderbolt, although there is considered no big difference in the basic performance. Follow-up notes: The internal leg bays are not listed in the grey box's Standard Armaments so I would consider them "optional components" specific to the C-version, and only the C-version.
  12. Don't think it's a queen. Just another variant of Vajra.
  13. Yeah, after seeing the last episode....I'm not going back for seconds. And judging by the episode synopsis for the next few shows... . I'm not gonna mind missing the rest of the season.
  14. Big West can still prove it because they have the copyright to those images in Japan that they filed way back. In Japan, it would be the latter. They have the contract between them and Big West.
  15. Considering all the shots have been in space, I think it's the "Strike"-version of the VF-25's Super parts.
  16. That's a power condenser cooling unit.
  17. They're waiting for the LAM to give them something new. By that time, the MF movies will probably be on DVD/Blu-ray, should a RT LAM even be green lighted for production. They can design new stuff and they tried, but it's just that they are pinning their hopes and dreams on a LAM-revival to move it all.
  18. I'd call it adulthood with a touch of nostalgia.
  19. Looks like they redesigned the turrets on Macross Quarter. The bridge section looks exactly the same. You can see the Tornado pack on Alto's VF. It passes on the screen quickly. I'm finding myself to be unimpressed by it. Almost looks awkward on it. The Super parts look better on it.
  20. What, compared to other pachinko machines? If Yamato was re-animated like that in a weekly series...I'm sure you'd be there.
  21. The Tornado pack on that 1/72 looks like a sculpt so I would give it a few more months to see the final version. On the other side...I sense floppy shoulders on the VF-27 in addition to back problems. Might be one that will probably only see fighter mode, without the stand.
  22. PG 00 Raiser ain't looking too bad either. http://ngeekhiong.blogspot.com/2009/10/pg-...-from-49th.html And I'm still quite amazed at MG Blue Frame 2nd Revised's mobility. http://ngeekhiong.blogspot.com/2009/10/pg-...-all-japan.html
  23. All those clips are from the pachinko game. And unless you want to go to Japan, bust into a pachinko parlor just to crack open one of these slot machines to grab the software containing these clips, there isn't much to say about it. Of course, you can always go to Japan, drop in at the pachinko parlors and play just this one machine all night.
  24. 'Bout frakkin time. But out of curiousity...why ver. Ka? V was designed by Katoki in the first place.
