  1. The man has a point. 3D introduces new aspects of cinema photography. And we're applying 2D techniques to 3D and it's not really working. Like I said, 3D isn't dying, it's being mishandled. That's one reason why people are being turned off by it.
  2. It may still come. But you're gonna have to wait till after MG Hyaku Shiki ver2.
  3. Gojira. I'll leave it at that.
  4. How about this one? MG 1/100 MSN-001A1 Delta Plus - Hobby Magazine (Aug Issue)
  5. I've been looking at the comic adaption for the movie....I'm not terribly impressed. But it doesn't skimp on the explosions at least...
  6. I don't think 3D is dying, it's being mishandled. If you put it on anything and everything, even on stuff that should not have it, then yeah, people are going to get turned off by it. Avatar is one of those films where the director wanted the audience to be immersed in the world he created. The visuals reflect that. But 3D on a film like Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows or Cars 2? I'm sorry, but no. And even 3D TVs....I don't need to see the evening news in 3D or even some sports game.
  7. A successful print run would be, as you could probably guess, where the number sold is near or greater than the number printed (probably somewhere around 50%+ to 75%). Since the printer only prints in batches, they obviously will print more than they can sell so whatever doesn't sell is returned to the distributor. At the same time, stores will only order (in batches) what they can sell and request more or less depending on sales. So if Shonen Jump sold anywhere between 1.6-2 million issues of those 2,790,000, that's probably a good number. For a more focused publication like Macross Ace, I'd be a little more lenient on the numbers but if it isn't doing better than say 60% in sales from a 120,000 issue run and consistently shows decreasing number of sales from no one buying or fewer stores ordering copies, then yeah, we're looking at cancellation. Yes, I'm making these numbers up but I'm sure the publisher uses a similar idea.
  8. Simple solution. Is Tommy still showing up at cons at RT panels? Then he still is getting a paycheck from them and this is a side job (most likely). If he's not showing up and someone asks, then he's no longer with RT.
  9. See, we were ahead of the curve: 'Green Lantern,' 'Harry Potter' 2D Ticket Sales Outpace 3D on Fandango (Analyst) (Hollywood Reporter)
  10. And the numbers for this weekend...
  11. Apparently, it's so bad people are heading to the theaters to see how bad it is... Ryan Reynolds' 'Green Lantern' takes Friday Box Office lead
  12. This looks like mindless, summer-flick, violent fun. Whether or not that's a good fun, I'm not sure as the movie isn't out yet.
  13. Surprisingly, World at War was fun. Modern Warfare 2 was short and too much of an adrenaline rush. Black Ops was longer but still had that summer-movie-rush-feel. Am I looking forward to MW3? It's on my to-do list but it's not a priority. I am interested in Battlefield 3, but I'm kinda losing interest in multiplayer and I don't know if the single player will stand up. Playing Bad Company 2 did satisfy some desires but like I said, I'm losing interest in multiplayer these days. As for DNF...I might wait till it goes on sale. Watching the gameplay videos haven't really made me jump out of my seat to go buy this game. I'm looking at it more as a "play it if I'm bored"-game. And since someone brought it up, I'll say this in general about shooters these day, WHAT THE FRAK is with this 2-weapon crap these days? I think I could carry 2 primaries and a secondary (i.e., a freakin pistol). I really don't understand why the developers are designing things this way. Multiplayer I can understand (and would definitely agree), but in single player????
  14. Folks, this is a gaming thread, not a network security thread. Get back on topic.
  15. DC's answer to everything......wonderful....
  16. Yeah...sounds like they spent all the money on VFX and not the acting talent. Oh well, wasn't planning on spending money on this flick anyways. Heck, I probably won't bother with Captain America either.
  17. Yeah, Uso still holds the record for the 1st youngest Gundam pilot. The grandson character is the second 13-year old Gundam pilot.
  18. Well, now that Escapist isn't being DDoS'd, I figure this is good for a laugh. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/unskippable/3538-Star-Wars-The-Old-Republic
  19. Ok, if Halo 4 isn't milking...this probably is
