  1. So long as this one takes a moment to sh*t on [any representative incarnation of] the Devlin/Emmerich ver. of Gojira by the end of the final credits, I'll be happy. That clip from Final Wars never gets old, for me...
  2. I suppose it begs the question--or perhaps it should--as to whether manufacturers of super and hyper cars should be held to a higher standard of sorts, when it comes to safety? Why don't cars making that much power have an integral safety cage of some kind? Shouldn't any car capable of reaching speeds over 175 mph with relative ease have one? Speaking to our collective human increase in knowledge about crash and fire safety when it comes to high performance & racing cars over the past 40+ years: we just know too da*n much fort this sort of thing to still be happening. Then again, maybe not. From James Dean, to Paul Walker, what have we learned? How to make the cars go much, much faster, to be sure. But not a godda*ned-thing else, apparently. ed: would a safety cage have saved Walker and his friend? Perhaps not. Given the intensity of the fire, the car was likely fully laden with fuel, and it was apparently a relatively short trip, to a charity event(?) We know in a high performance car: a full tank & cold tires are two key ingredients in a recipe for potential disaster...
  3. Pretty sweet, that AMG. Backlight? Fuhgedabadit! "What's-a behind me is not important." --Franco, The Gumball Rally ed: hehe--there's no hiding the male-oriented sensibilities this sort of car appeals to, from the top-view...
  4. Pretty awesome. Still got love for the Countach; was my childhood dream car. Well, one of them. One sweet a$$ Buick. Love the Charger, too.
  5. Terminator: Salvation is on TV even now; finally got to see a few mins of it. Utter shite. Leave this franchise alone. Stop trying to end on a good note; it's not working...
  6. Went to a routine doctor's appt yesterday, saw one just like this in the p'ing lot. Good God, that thing was sexy! You wouldn't think it possible for an inanimate object--but I swear, it's like the thing possessed an aura all its own. It was striking how it was at once both elegant--and just plain mean looking.
  7. Saw one in traffic the other day. Same color, too. Mmmm, sexy. Oddly enough, it sounds even better than it looks...
  8. Indeed. The guys who drove those, as well as anyone who made a living driving racing cars back in the day--especially those during F1's 'dark ages' of the 50's - 70's--are real heroes to me. You had to have a f'ing pair to drive one of those at the limit...
  9. Meh, they coulda done worse. Not surprised to see renders showing their using a "common" front end treatment across their model line. The Accord-esque rear quarter windows are pretty bleh...
  10. Hehe, much like Conan The Destroyer, I thought it was so disappointing compared to the original I just preferred to ignore it and pretend it never happened...
  11. Dafu--what?! It's been quite some time since I've seen this one, but it was pretty good I thought. I thought he was meant to be seen as a sympathetic--or maybe just pathetic--character, but not really an antihero. Although, time and circumstances tend to change your views of the world; as a father, I can empathize with the notion that no length is too great to go to, for the love of our child(ren).
  12. So let me get this straight: they want to distinguish this tuner Mustang, set it apart from others and justify its hefty pricetag (which is a crock of sh*t in and of itself), and how do they go about it? By putting what looks like--at least at first glance--a Camaro-looking front fascia (or maybe a little Dodge), and Challenger-esque tail lights on it? Bitch, please! They need to take that "B" off the rear badge--it'll sum this car up perfectly... *best Ozzy Osbourne voice* 'ew the fu*k is Equus?
  13. It looks good with either set. Although the originals do seem to fill out the wheelwells a bit better. It looks like those rear wells could accomodate wheels with another 1" of negative offset--or even better, another 1" wider, giving the outer lips a deeper, more pronounced stance (much like the linked ex). Either way, looks good.
  14. There's just gotta be a sci-fi film production somewhere that ougtha be able to pick one or two of those up, use 'em as basis for some kickass 1:1 scale "space fighter" sets/props...
