  1. Ironically CD Japan doesn't allow shipping to Japan....
  2. If anyone ordered a second by accident i'd be happy to take it off your hands! Please? Oh God...
  3. Even here in Japan, that was seriously less than a 3 second sell-out. That's impossible.
  4. I must be doing something wrong then. Every time I move it slightly in battroid mode the stomach untabs from the waist. If not for the bracket the battroid mode would be good for posing alone. This figure has me so conflicted. Jet mode is pure sex. Gerwalk with the missile container stowed is perfectly tight, the joints are all great, the transformation is simple and fun.....it's just robot mode needs a damn bracket! AGH. The toy is literally 90% perfect. If anyone has any suggestions on how to strengthen the battroid without using a bracket, let me know. It bugs me so much that I will probably end up selling it if there isn't a fix. I can't believe Bandai dropped the ball so hard on this. It's like the Macross Quarter all over again. For a toy this pricey, it should be able to support its own damn weight.
  5. Ok, out of the box it comes.
  6. I ended up getting one, but when I discovered it needed an external support tab I decided not to take it out of the box. That sort of thing really, really turns me off of a toy, especially one this pricey. How floppy is it without the bracket piece attached? Is the bracket really necessary?
  7. Anyone else having trouble opening the two flaps for the front landing gear? I can't seem to get them to open whatsoever, and i'm afraid of putting too much stress on them if I brute force it. Do they pull out, then open, or just swing open from their original position?
  8. Just got it, and it's a pretty bird. The right arm can't really hold the weight of the gunpod, and there's the issue with the ankles that's of concern, but apart from that i'm pretty happy (however the metal hip bar is incredibly frustrating).
  9. It's a gorgeous figure, it's just that missile pod is so damn awkward. I'll buy it for the jet mode alone though.
  10. So I found a store in Tokyo that's selling the 1/3000 Yamato SDF-1.....for $640 Argh. I'm tempted, but man, that's a lot of money, I....I don't think I can do it.
  11. I've gotten bitten with Macross-class ship fever. Since there are no 1/3000 Yamato Sdf-1's to be found anywhere on the planet, I've started seriously considering buying the Macross Quarter instead. However I've read some pretty critical reviews of it. So I ask you, should I take the plunge and buy it or wait a few years for an actual Sdf-1 to surface again?
  12. Yeah no, for that price I could buy an SDF 1 which has a lot more bang for your buck than this thing
  13. Screw this noise. I'm not paying an almost 100% markup. I'll take my chances in October when it's released.
  14. Ugh. Sold out everywhere already? I hate this.
  15. Just got my notification and paid from Nippon Yasan as well!
  16. Nabbed one at BBTS. If this doesn't go through I give up.
  17. Does anyone have a best guess as to when they might put them up for pre-order?
  18. So before I drop $260 on a possible Ebay pre-order, is there *any* hope at all that any other shop out there may have this in stock for pre-order?
  19. I'm totally in for a group buy. Got my Durandal in the mail last week FINALLY (stupid Canada Post strike...) I'm happy with it so far, it has no serious flaws, although there are scratch marks *under* the SMS logo on the left wing They aren't very serious, but are pretty weird. Anyway, i'm not sure if i'm transforming it to Battroid improperly or not, but I have a concern over what I see to be a potentially serious design flaw: namely, the front canards. Even with the crotch thrust completely out (which I think makes the battroid look kind of disjointed and bizarre) i'm still incredibly scared of snapping off the canards when I move the upper thighs/legs. Those two little pieces of fragile plastic seriously reduce the playability aspect of this toy, and i'm stunned that Bandai didn't, at the least, make them removable. I note that the VF-25 doesn't have those canards, so i'm hoping that this won't be an issue with the v.2 in the Fall, but i'll tell you, it's a pretty disappointing aspect of an otherwise superb toy.
  20. Man, they almost look like they don't even belong to the same universe as each other. The YF-29 is a lot more busy, but i'm hard pressed to say which one actually looks cooler.
  21. No no no no no no no nonononononono. No. Please no. Not after I dropped $200+ on this thing. Oh God.
  22. For those of you who have it in hand, are there any particular points of worry or flaws you've found so far?
  23. I should have learned this from my experiences with the first release VF-0 so long ago, but it seems as though the philosophy of "never, ever buy any first-release Macross product" is still alive and well today.
