  1. Hi guys! I was just wondering, can somebody please post a picture of the macross F-14D onthe flight deck of an aircraft carrier in episode 1? I want to make it into a signature with the help of a friend I need preferable a scene wherein you can see the F-14 and the Macross kite at the side. It's been a while since I've last watched macross Zero so i don't know if such a scene exist. Thanks! Gian 7675
  2. Nope. The atmospheric Booster only kit is now sold out. The only way you'll be able to get it in the future is as a set with the launch rail... At a revised price. Waah! Anyway, how much will be the Atmospheric booster & Launch Rail Combo Kit? When will you start selling the combo kit? Just want to know so that I can start saving more LOL! Hmmm...some guys are not yet paid on their VF-1 Atmospheric Booster only kit eh... I hope Monkey Nugget re-lists them Gian7675
  3. Hi guys! I apologize if this was asked here before. It's been a while since I last posted here. I also tried the search feature but nothing came out so I guess it's safe to post this question...I hope... I was just wondering, shouldn't the VF-0B be classified as the VF-0D instead since it's a two seater and more ressembles the VF-0S? VF-0S http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?HSG15 VF-0B http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?HSG65770 The VF-0D on the other hand looks different than the VF-0S in terms of it's wings. VF-0D http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?HSG18 My method of thinking is based on the VF-1A & VF-1D As an afterthough...is there a "D" variant that's not a two seater? Are all "D" variant's two seaters? Any comments? Gian7675
  4. Right. Each of the 3 components was/is/will be available as a stand-alone kit specially for MWers; basically, to break-up the ginormous cost of selling all three together. That way, you can get whichever kit you want, cheap. The combination kits will be even more limited (maybe 15 kits), and will be somewhat more expensive. Oh no! How expensive will be the combo Atmospheric Booster Kit and launch rail? Darn! I'll have to save more for the combo kit bhuhuhu! Wait a minute...so...to be clear...you're still going to sell the Atmospheric Booster as a single kit in the future? (please sell the Atmospheric Booster as a single kit! The combo kits are in a way a Limited Edition run? And for those MW's that have money to burn? hehehe! Gian7675
  5. Not at all! Well as find those threads in the old forums... who knows where they could be now. But the thing here is like this: a) somebody find the funny chinese/Orguss valk/Arcadia zentradi ship/want to know hot the pilot seat in a Quedluun Rau, etc. b) post asking about it c) Lot of people answer the topic since is fascinating!!! (I love those topics) d) time passes over and the topic is lost... e) go to a) That's the way it is... but I like it. It would be fine if someone as Nanashi or Egan Loo make some official site with this obscure subjects (in fact Nanashi has/or use to have a web page about some of them) You're pattern is very true Anyway, I'm still amazed at how somebody was able to see the Funny Chinese in the first place. The picture is small and when it probably showed up in the series, it was probably only for a few seconds! A very sharp eye the person who spotted the Funny Chinese, he's got... I just sounded like Master Yoda there gian7675
  6. OOOOOOHH!!! I like that a lot !!! Very nice! Are these the Bandai 1/144 re-issues? The ones that come only in Battroid and Fighter mode? Nice!!! gian7675
  7. Had an F-16C taken down during a trip to canada. 88-0357. Taken down by pelicans in the intake and through the canopy glass. Pilot landed in a tree and only bruised his arm. Back to topic, the VF-22's nosecone is my pick. I saw the craziest thing on tv one night. I believe it was shock tv. This plane was on the deck of a carrier preparing for takeoff and a crew member got sucked up into the turbin. The turbin just spit him out the other side. Crazy I tell you. As for favorite nose cone. I vote for the VF-11. Its got that bird of prey look to it. It almost looks like a beak. The guy who got sucked in the "carrier plane"..did he survive ? A couple of broke ribs and some burns. There was probably more damage done to the plane. I don't know if that is even possible. Anything that goes in there is coming out pureed out the other end. Wether it's an F-14, or a C-5 engine. You get sucked in that intake, and make it to the blades = you die. There's no gap to go around the blades. It's just straight through the blender. Then get cooked from the thrust exhaust. I have seen shots of guys that got sucked in and lived, but they either caught the edge, or something snagged before they got to the blades. I saw this footage too. He lived because he didn't get spit out at the other end. What happened was he got sucked into the engine, the helmet hit the blades first and shattered it. The plane immediately went to emergency shutdown. Amazingly, the guy crawled out again of the same area where he got sucked in. They even interviewed the guy after a few days . gian7675
  8. Hi ya EXO! Thanks for the tip! Last question, when you took the valk apart, stripped, painted and re-assembled it, did the joints become loose? Or is the tightness of the joints still the same? If it did get loose, how loose are the joints now? I wonder if other customizers of 1/48 valks had looseened joints when they took apart their valks and re-assembled them... gian7675
  9. Greetings Commander! So the Funny Chinese did appear in the TV Series. Can you be specific which part of the series it appeared? I think a lot of MW fans have started looking at the Series for the Funny Chinese By the way, does somebody here know whythey called it "Funny Chinese"? What does VEFR mean anyway? Thanks! gian7675 Just look for this picture in the TV series (final battle against Bodolza sp? fleet) I have encirlcled in green the so called Funny Chinese (VEFR-1) Some day I will finish a gerwalk model of it that I started building more than a year ago... some day... If you get a better res pic you could see that it has super parts in the legs but not in in the back. In the old forums we used to have interesting discussions about the VEFR-1 And yes, it is called funny chinese because of the battroid mode ressembling a chinese with hat. Nanashi used to have a good technical report of this VF-1 variant (it is a modified VF-1D) Thanks Gerwalker! This is really interesting, I'll probably look up the said discussion of the Funny Chinese in the old board...err...where is the discussion of the Funny Chinese in the old board anyway? Thanks again! gian7675
  10. Very nice Strike Valk indeed! I wish my moodelling skills are just as great! I've always wanted to get a Hase Strike Valk and a Super Valk but a have a question: Does the 1/72 Hasegawa Strike & Super Valks have an optional modeling choice to be modeled without the Strike and Super Armours like the 1/72 Hasegawa Super Ostrich kit? The Hase Super O kit has this option wherein you can model it with or without armour. Do the Strike and Super Hase kits also have this option or are you just stuck with the Valk in Strike and Super model? Thanks! gian7675
  11. Hi kabayan EXO! What did you use to strip the paint off the valk? Looks very clean and very nice to paint on a new color scheme! gian7675

  13. Err... excuse me but what is this "Funny Chinese" aircraft drawing? Did this Valk show up in any of the Macross Series/Movies? or is this just a line art? thanks! Gian7675
  14. Question! I just want to ask where is it mentioned that the Megaroad disappeared? I thought that it was the Megaroad that populated the other planets like the one in Macross Plus where the YF-19 & YF-22 were being tested. I was quite surprised to learn that the Megaroad went MIA along with its crew and passengers. Can someone please enlighten me on this? I apologize if this topic was already discussed here gian7675
