1. Someone should have robbed a hardware store and brought along a supply of buzzsaws for Magneto to toss around. Or he should have ripped off the metal plating on the walls at Alcatraz and had those fly around to smash people. Lots of stuff they could have done. Oh well it's done and over.
2. Bring it on, EPIDERMIS! 402912 I'll poke you in the homunculus!
3. Batman Begins = good superhero movie X-men 3 = watchable, although you may not like it Batman & Robin = why? Just don't waste your time
4. I'm sure there were many toys, but I'm more than happy with my collection of crap nowadays. Oh wait I wanted a Han Solo frozen in carbonite block from the Star Wars toy line, but they were out of production by the time I was old enough to want one. I wanted a refit Starship Enterprise toy, but they didn't make any good ones when I was a kid. I never liked the small metal and plastic ones, then later the micromachines plastic ones were too small. Then Art Asylum came out with that nice big one which I bought and is awaiting me to open it back at my parents. Wanted various Transformers toys, I got some, others... well I'm glad I didn't get more, because it always pissed me off that they could only transform and they couldnt really pose in their various forms. I always wanted a good lightsaber toy. Not the flashlight ones with the plastic tube, I had those and broke those. I wanted something good which didn't exist yet. Now I have an FX lightsaber, hot damn am I pleased.
5. I saw on imdb that Jubilee was in the movie, but I didn't notice her (at least in X2 someone called her by her name). Supposedly Psylocke was in the movie, but I didn't notice her.
6. Screw this, I'll just watch the old VHS tapes at my parents. Or watch the dvd special edition.
7. OMG OMG OMG OMG WOOHOO!!! Now to save up money...
8. Oh yeah? You homosapien! You you, you hair follicle!
9. I liked it. I liked it better than the first two movies, although it had its fair share of problems like the day into night thing. I liked the prologue seeing young Xavier and Magneto, that was pretty cool. Loved Juggernaut vs Kitty Pride.
10. I find that I don't really need to curse on the forum. I curse enough in real life as it is just because I can around my house and because it amuses me. Besides it's more fun to come up with replacement stuff that makes people stop and look at you funny. lol
11. I sense a thread nuking by admins will be imminent.
12. The emitter is a "Rolls Royce derwent engine balance pipe" or something like that. A part of a jet engine or something, I forgot what era it's from, but suffice to say you won't be getting ahold of an original. The "gear" the part that rests between the graflex clamp and the armitage shanks faucet handle, is a Browning ANM2 machinegun booster. Yeah it's too bad that Parks seems so be the only one offering replica flash guns. I searched to see if Larbel was still doing replica graflex flash guns, but his site is down and it looks like it's been down for quite a while. Well, Macross73, maybe you can pick up a Parks graflex replica from an ebay dealer, that way you get it right away and you're not giving money to Parks.
13. There are kits you can buy of replica graflex camera flashes with all the parts necessary to add to make your own Luke ANH or ESB lightsaber replica. If you don't want a static handle, and you want one that has an electroluminescent blade or LED blade made of polycarbonate, then I think there's some kits too and some places that make and sell them. If you're thinking of doing a replica of the Obi-wan Kenobi ANH lightsaber you might want to check out Roman's Empire for getting your parts (in particular the emitter, which is innaccurate on the Master Replicas piece, since the part was identified only recently):Roman's Empire Roman has a good reputation on the replica prop forum. I unfortunately can't recall any trustworthy places to get graflex replicas. There is Parks, but he's got a questionable reputation and I've heard a lot of horror stories about him which include long wait time for products, poor customer service, and a bad attitude. I have heard good things as well, but to get a better idea if you're thinking of getting a graflex from him (either a replica camera flash to turn into a lightsaber, or an EL lightsaber) read up on him on the replica prop forum.
14. I am speechless at the generic bland look to it.
15. According to legend, every full moon a ghostly VF-5 will buzz the control tower of a random deep space colony base. Then it dissappears in an explosion but leaves no wreckage behind.
16. Ooooh nice and weathered looking.
17. Should have used Naked Snake/Big Boss. Better grapple moves and he uses a knife... Of course my wife brought up the subject that she would be horrified at seeing Kirby having his throat slit. -Ralph Jones or Clark Steel from Ikari Warriors/KOF, representing SNK -Tifa, Vincent, or Sephiroth to represent Square. Or Cecil, Kain, Terra, Sabin, Celes, or General Leo. -Pure and Cure (is that their names? old capcom mascot girl and some animal, were strikers in MvC1), Ryu, Chu-li, Jill Valentine, or the girl from Alien Vs Predator to represent Capcom. Megaman can eat poop and die, he's been whored to death already. At least use Zero if it's gotta be a megaman character. -Pyramid Head, Crocodile-helmet Big Boss, or Big Boss Monkey from the MGS3 catch the monkeys bonus game, for Konami.
18. The clonetroopers did a bang up job on the jedi. Jet packs are the weakness of the Fetts. They rely on them too much, so they get screwed when their packs get screwed. Heh time to cross Star Wars and Metal Gear using the Fetts. Jango Fett is Big Boss, Boba Fett is Liquid Fett Ocelot (he can bounce his shots around man!), and ... Where's Solid Fett? Oh in a box!
19. Eats easier done in kids. Which is why it's so important that only trained people talk to kids that have possibly been molested. Because if a bunch of people ask them particular questions over and over, the kids create memories of it. Best example was a study done where some guy was brought into a classroom of kindergarteners and stood around in the back for a bit. Later they were asked questions, some of them leading. Eventually the kids wound up remembering the guy came in, some of them remembered him talking to the class (when asked if he did that), others remembered him bringing things with him (when asked if he brought stuff with him). Important point is that memory is never perfect. It's shaped by what you process and perceive. It can be affected by previous events and/or later events. It can and will change over time. There's all sorts of messed up real life stories I could tell you about psychology stuff, but this isn't the forum for it.
20. lol on the subject of MGS4 Snake. Get Clint Eastwood to dub him. I loved going invisible in MGS3 and beating the crap out of Raidenovitch, then going around disguised as him and punching guards in the face then making them salute and thank me.
21. edit: yeah the Edwin Jeans one with Brad Pitt is funny if it's the same one I saw before. edit2: oh wow didnt realize there were that many. The first ass one is the one I was talking about.
22. It's over-the-counter psychology. Yeah you can have memories blocked as a way of protecting yourself. you can even have your brain create false replacement memories. So for example (it's just made up without looking anything up in my books just as a rough example of how it could work): Minmay snaps and in a fit of rage after being slapped by Hikaru for not singing the song of another woman, pulls that knife from beneath her dress and plunges it repeatedly into Hikaru's chest, then wipes her prints off the knife. She comes to a bit later finding herself covered in blood, a knife in dead Hikaru's chest, and doesn't remember what happened because her mind blocked it all out. Her mind creates some excuse of what happened that is plausible to her. Uh... They got attacked and Hikaru sacrificed himself for her! Minmay always had some problems that she never liked to talk about and all, plus all that stress of being an idol and being on a superdimensional fortress. But then key thigns that reminded her of the murder would start to bring to the surface the original memory. Knives freak her out when she sees them and she doesn't know why, she'll rationalize and run off. She get's stressed our at seeing dramas with couples fighting, especially if someone gets slapped. Then after enough of nudging that memory back up, BOOM relives the memory, goes: "Oh Hikaru what have I done?!", breaks down crying and promptly gets hit by a car because she ran into a busy street after having the memory come back. If you want to see a good movie that works with blocked memory (in a different manner), I recommend Angel Heart, with Mickey Rourke and Robert Deniro, a detective movie of sorts.
23. That's Metal Gear Acid. Its a tactical turn based "card game". You get a buncha cards and you execute moves with the cards. There's MGA1 and 2. 400451 No, I'm talking about Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops: Kojima Productions Special E3 site Click on English, then click on MPO You'll see what I'm talking about.
24. Like Silent Hill 1. You have to think to make sense of all that's going on.
25. On the Metal Gear Series, anyone notice that game for the PSP that takes place after MGS3 and is the link between MGS3 and Metal Gear 1? What makes Big Boss form Fox-Hound and turns him into the Big Boss that Solid Snake takes on in Metal Gear. I wish that it would be a PS2 game rather than a psp. I wanna know what happens, but I'm not buying another freaking handheld system. The last thing I bought was a Neo Geo pocket color(love that system). And what's up with Snake being put in the next Smash Bros game!
