  1. 1/60 Yamato VF-19FIRE Valkyrie at the 50th Shizuoka Hobby Show. Link: http://twitpic.com/4wixh9
  2. I’m not really sure I understand all the fuss about the hand plates. Personally, I don’t care very much for it. For the various pictures we’ve seen so far we know that the hand plates sculpt is correct. Graham’s just said they have a black stripe on them now. That makes me think that Yamato’s chosen this pattern for some aesthetic reason rather than a technical one, whatever it is. As Graham has pointed out, this will probably be the best Macross toy ever –disregarding whether you like it or not the M7 show, Basara, the valk’s colour or even its design. That means this toy’s great in terms of proportions, transformablility, tightness, articulations, gimmicks, details, etc. IMHO, if you like the toy and you want it you cannot feel disappointed for something as insignificant as the colour of a little bit of the hands. The red knuckle guard and the black stripe are there. You really don’t like the rest in red? Paint it blak!
  3. I hope it’s nothing serious, Graham. Thanks for your efforts anyway!
  4. Please don’t tell me you’re getting a VF-19KAI from Yamato TODAY for one of your famous reviews, otherwise it’s me who will have to kill you!!!
  5. That would be great for finishing off the Macross Plus collection. I mean, it’s not unimportant; the Ghost X-9 is responsible for Guld’s death! I would be in for 1.
  6. Some very interesting pics from Yamato's blog: Link: http://www.yamato-toys.com/blog/
  7. IMHO, all Valks have very masculine bulks, covers or even really phallic nose cones around the croach area in battroid mode as to be considered any feminine; let aside the fact that they are war machines and war has always been a man’s matter –even though that’s not the case in the Macross series. Then you’ve got the shoulders, lower legs, feet, heads, etc. that don’t look feminine at all. To me, they look more like some kind of modern mechanic samurais.
  8. DECULTURE TIME!!! VF-19 final test. Seriously, Yamato rules! 9. Nan-da! And the air intakes?
  10. Thank you very much, >EXO< & raptormesh. No luck at Tokyo Hunter nor HLJ. Locus seems to be alright. My problem is I’ve been offered the kit by my HK Macross seller for US$310 shipped to where I´m currently living (20% for reservation). It’s not actually that bad considering that I think the toy would cost me around US$ 400 shipped, but I don’t know whether it’s a reasonable price compared to other retailers –witch don’t seem to be very abundant for this kit, actually. Has anybody shopped at Locus before? Are they alright?
  11. I’d say around US$300/310 shipped. If anybody knows a good method to get one I’d really appreciate the advice…
  12. Two? They look the same to me; the outer nacelles include supplementary turboprops for more economic atmospheric flight.
  13. Do you think Bandai will ever release the Super Pack for the YF-29? It looks cool!!! http://www.gundammodelkits.com/pictures-of-macross-yf-29-with-super-pack.html

  18. I’m looking forward to some official information…
  19. But still not articulated hands, that’s kind of a shame…
  20. Yeah, anime52k8 is right, just compare these pictures:
  21. My seller of Macross products from Hong Kong has contacted me to offer the new 1/3000 SDF-1 Assembly Kit. He says Yamato’s going to take orders for it through their Yamato Online Shop and as this is a web exclusive product there will be no retail sale in any other ship. The kit will be released in May and as we all know Yamato hasn’t announced it in their website yet. The price including shipping is US$310 and I should reserve the kit by a 20% payment. Do you guys think this price is ok? Is there any other way to get it?
  22. From Yamato's site. I think there's nothing new here. Source: http://www.yamato-toys.com/dev/release_088/index.html?infolnk=index
  23. Thank you very much Ahiachris! They look great
  24. Actually, I think you’re probably right, that’s what I thought when I first saw the pictures. But then if you have a look at the Yamato’s site Photozoomer there’s still a pic of the old painted resin prototype (it's the 2nd one) where the blue canvas they always use looks darker and less cyan, so I guess there could be some colour balance, hue/saturation and vibrance photo edition issues involved around the newer ones. That’d be very amateur of them but I still hope that’s the reason…
