  1. Looks like they are recycling the dyrl boxset boxart.... So, this kit is already molded with the correct colors? Why sell a focker version if it were not? Bandai sure knows how to sell their wares! Loved that piece of propaganda!
  2. You mean like these kind of deals? http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h177208773 The Grail of the 1/48 line.....another one sells high.... Yamato 1/48 Macross Chronicle exclusive Weathered VF-1S Hikaru with weathered Strike Armor: http://page7.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g127638179
  3. Macross 7 20th Anniversary in 2014...they can re-release all Mac 7 valks....plus add the Miria Mac 7 VF-1J to the lineup....and slap on a nifty 20th anniversary sticker!!!
  4. VF-1 line is so close to completion....they can make them Macross Chronicle exclusives and call it done!
  5. Not crazy about the design, but then again, ugly anniversary valks are now a tradition! Will get one to show support and to get Arcadia to complete the VF line ....they are so close!
  6. LOL....chalk it up as another instance of getting a random passer-by to generate a pose?
  7. Thanks! And a big thanks in general to anyone providing translation of Macross media! It is much appreciated.
  8. Again, relax, the villian comment was not directed at you or any kind of direct quote...based on your statements I believe we are both in agreement that sold auctions are the closest indicator to market value at any given time...thus the whole point of this thread....just the facts....and individually decide on what to do with the data...

  10. Relax...I know that...just using the terminology of the "general" sentiment by some of the posters to this thread.....just because things are selling high right now does not make the sellers villians...it is what it is... Also, you honed in on the most insignificant part of my post....the point I was trying to make is that Mandarake prices are not true market value...they are artificially lower due to what they pay for their incoming stock... MY 1000th post....
  11. Did Arcadia need to bend over even more for the license??? Speculation will make this thing sell-out...... We'll find out when the first "regular" release is announced I suppose......30000JPY each for a Max or Miria??? Maybe Arcadia has been keeping an eye on the "market".....
  12. To be fair...Mandarake has lower prices (sometimes) than auction because they screw individual sellers when they bring their stuff to sell....think pawn shop....the pawn shop is not going to pay you true market value (yes, auction value) for your items because they need to turn a profit on the stuff you are selling to them.....it is what it is....Auction sites are true market value...Yahoo Japan for Japan.....Ebay for the USA and the rest of the world (basically..Yahoo Japan price plus proxy fees and shipping...plus a bit of profit on top of that...sometimes high...sometimes low)..... Here is a list of what Mandarake pays for the MACROSS stuff they sell on their site: http://mandarake.co.jp/information/buy/nkn/toy/series-yamato_macross.html http://mandarake.co.jp/information/buy/nkn/toy/gokin-eva-macross.html This is the link to the general page containing what they pay for just about everything else: http://mandarake.co.jp/information/buy/index.html And keep in mind...the prices are for MINT items...they will deduct for any slightest damage or missing parts, open, displayed...etc.....generally..it looks like they try to get at least 50% return on their purchases.... For example, what they pay for a mint Yamato SDF-1: Complete Transformation SDF-1 Macross finished product version 40,000 yen What they sold a MINT SDF-1: 80,000 JPY http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/ja/item_s-602005.html
  13. Easily solvable by selling "excess" VF's no?
  14. Yamato 1/60 VF-1S Max DYRL weathered edition: http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k165895975
  15. Macross Chronicle 21 - http://deagostini.jp/mcr/backnumber.php?issue=21 ........previosuly used on original release Issue 35
  16. That's because it wasn't the VF-2SS Sanrio Hello Kitty Type!!!!!
  17. Yamato 1/48 Macross Chronicle exclusive VF-1A Kakizaki TV: http://page2.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/b145512226 If anyone is interested.....there is another 1/48 "holy grail" on YJ Auctions....the Yamato 1/48 Macross Chronicle exclusive Weathered VF-1S Hikaru with weathered Strike Armor..... http://page7.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g127638179 Last one sold for 55000 JPY in April as a BIN...current one is a straight auction so it may go for less.... I have one already so I won't outbid you!!!
  18. Do you know in which issue of the "old" Macross Chronicle was the VF-0A battroid used on the cover? Or was it one of the fold-out illustrations inside one of the issues?
  19. 10 per binder.....if referring to "revised" edition...you need 8.... ....."obsolete and unworthy of the paper and ink its printed on" edition requires a mere 5 binders... I take the "no binder" option....I'm being swindled and pimped as it is without the binders.....
  20. I wish some enterprising 3D artiste would release a "The Many Helmets of Macross" series in 1/4 scale.....
  21. LOL...fair enough.....as long as you tell me when the "HLJ clearance sale" for it starts....not 3 days after Arcadia announces its "re-organization" in January 2015 and the panic sales begin!!!!
  22. Well....Yamato/Arcadia seems to not like re-issuing "combo" sets.....but a re-issue of a VF-4G with OPTION parts and LED lighting and a coupon for FREE FB2012 version mail-in is surely right around the corner!!!
