Although anything is possible, I think the best way to look at the Hi-Metal R line is that it is basically an homage to the past...in terms of Macross.....a salute to the days of Takatoku and the old Bandai Hi-Metal line that inherited it (picked up the pieces?).....and one of the things that were encouraged by these companies was to "customize" your "super real diecast/plastic scale model & high technology" toys..... It would be nice if Bandai offered "parts" in various colors so you could do just that...arms, legs, heads, etc....of course, for those with the skill and patience, you could just go the "plastic scale model" route as was originally intended by the old school companies, which some have already started to do.... R = Respect

If they do it would need to be a Tamashii websclusive. They could release the TV GBP and this one as an exclusive. Milk the mold. I'd prefer the blue Phalanx though. Who knows....they released the Monster....in hindsight it probably should have been a websclusive as well....no way to milk that mold...at least not without some major part replacements....thus adding to the costs...

There is a Tamashii Nations event on October 28th. Hopefully, we will have some answers (and more surprises!) regarding the HM-R line.

It was shown during the Tamashii Nations event last year....you can see other items shown during this event here: http://robotpilipinas.blogspot.com/2015/11/upcoming-macross-toys-display.html The 2016 Tamashii Nations event is happening on October 28....so maybe they will show some new Macross items or have some news on whether or not some of the previously displayed Macross items will actually be released....crossing fingers!

I am not too concerned about the "third arm" because many times we have seen Bandai display their HMRs with "redundant" support...only to realize that they are completely unnecessary once we have the product in our hands....so far Bandai has been hitting them out of the park with their HMR lineup....no reason to believe they would drop the ball on a display stand....especially if they want it to be the BEST MACROSS DISPLAY STAND IN THE HISTORY OF HUMANITY!!!
