  1. I had to PO the VF-1S Roy Focker Special MasterFiles book from HLJ due to Amazon doing a sudden 360 on allowing overseas Macross book sales. Pretty sure this book will be made available via HLJ.
  2. I am hoping this is more like an update to the old Shoji Kawamori Macross Design Works..... ....a massive update 20 years in the making!....the nice thing about the Macross Design Works book was the inclusion of several pages worth of color concept illustrations for various VFs...the Macross Variable Fighter Designers Note only contains lineart....what the recent exhibit companion books have shown us is that Kawamori has plenty of material we have not seen before...600+ pages should be enough to give us a look at some stuff we have not seen before...or at minimum not compiled into one convenient book... The only question now is what will get into our hands first.....the Kawamori or Mikimoto book?
  3. Just pretend it is the latest release from Arcadia...the 1/48 VF-1S V2 with an MSRP of 40,000 JPY, then click that "add to cart" button!
  4. yep....Amazon.jp has done that with the last 2 Macross books...too bad, that's about 100 bucks they are not getting from me because it will be going to other retailers...
  5. I would hope it is an update to the last Kawamori Macross "design" book.... ...which covered 1982-2001 (SDFM TV - M3).... I think the difference is that it will contain more than just B/W lineart like the similarly titled Macross Variable Fighter Designers Note.... The Shoji Kawamori Macross Design Works book has lineart and color illustrations of many of the conceptual designs for each of his VF's...in addition, there is now 20 some years of these type of illustrations to catch up on that have not been collected in one book since its release. There have been some images published in recent books like the companion books for several of his exhibits, but one new all-encompassing book collecting them all since 1982 to the present will be amazing. This and the upcoming Mikimoto Macross Character Design book will be must-haves for any Macross Book Collector.....hopefully the Kawamori book won't be constantly delayed like the Mikimoto book has been.....we might get simultaneous releases! Sadly, Amazon.jp has once again decided not to make this book available for overseas shipping so I will need to order somewhere else.
  6. Wonder how much an Arcadia 1/48 VF-1S would cost these days if they actually did a 2.0? Guessing at least what secondary prices are for Bandai DX's....possibly more....
  7. Fixed it for you!
  8. Just when I thought I was done with Macross-themed F-14's.......this one makes sense....sold!
  9. Life imitates art....
  10. I think it would be worse to once again release the RMS-1 in yellow for a TV Super VF-1....just remove both "001/100" and it would look "anime" accurate!
  11. Fixed it....I had not looked at mine in years....but I do not recall red-tipped missiles... yep....the only toys with the correct missile tips have been from Toynami...and more recently from KC...but both being poor quality products
  12. They are alot easier for me than PO madness
  13. I would hope we get a websclusive Super VF-1S Hikaru combo set.......I would prefer to "assume the position" than go through another round of hell BTW....Will this be the first ever "proper" PT toy of a TV Super VF-1S Hikaru set released by a Japanese company?
  14. Just look at closed auctions....deduct about 10-30% based on the description of your items condition
  15. The Ertl Blade Runner cars are as old as some of my Macross Takatoku Toys! Weathered? A little dusty I suppose, nothing a light cleaning wouldn't take care of. I have them up on ebay if you or anyone else is interested!
  16. The original audience for Beavis and Butt-Head is now paying the cable streaming bills....so maybe there is some spare cash in between the Netflix, D+, HBO, Hulu, Amazon, etc bills!
  17. Blade Runner diecast cars from Ertl....

  19. And in other Star Wars retconning news..... https://screenrant.com/star-wars-luke-skywalker-midichlorians-force-jedi-unimportant/
  20. You may want to create a new account if they do not resolve it for you by tomorrow.....having one less online retail option on PO night can't be a good thing....hope they can help you reset your password!
  21. Takatoku "technically" never got around to selling their "Strike" Valkyrie.....although the first batch sold by Bandai of the Strike Valkyrie were made using available Takatoku parts.... I am guessing it is a hold-back from the ARII/IMAI/Takatoku boxart illustrations from Takani and Susuki.....that in turn "adopted" that detail from initial lineart illustrations of the VF-1, such as these images.....presumably done by Kawamori...these two appear as B/W lineart in the Perfect Memory book The majority of the lineart, however, seems to be lacking the "VF" detail.....personally, I like it, but am OK without it
