So received my Toynami Shogun Warrior VF-1S "Battloid"...aka Battroid....Also, have the "Macross" version from the SDCC 2023 coming in, so will take some pics of that one once it arrives... ...with Bandai HRM Super VF-1S ...with Yamato 1/60 VF-1S ...with Takatoku 1/55 VF-1S ...with KC 1/72 VF-1S ...with KC 1/6 Roy figure.... ...with Bandai HMR Super VF-1S ...with Bandai DX GBP-1J ...with Takatoku 1/55 GBP-1J So it's not lineart "accurate" but I'm fairly certain no one who is buying this cares about that...as they say...SIZE MATTERS... If the recent 1/20 VF-1 kits would have been sold as "pre-built action figures" I probably still would have bought this big boy...it has a cool nostalgic, old school vibe that lineart accuracy cannot deliver, it's like a super-sized Takatoku Large Vinyl VF-1 Battroid... ....I am not sure if I will keep collecting these as the MSRP is seriously hurting my capacity to rationalize collecting anymore in this line and I know they will probably release at least the already teased VF-1J "Rick"...and likely the Max and Milia VF-1Js...what's another 1000+ dollars?.....in the end, the completist beast residing in me may ultimately prove...once again...it's uncanny power over rational thought....with any luck, they will at least space out the realeses at 1 per year... Anyway...one small "nitpick"....supposedly, this is the "Robotech" TV version....if so, they painted the arrows on the sides of the head unit yellow, instead of black...I do not have my "Macross" SDCC 2023 Edition on hand yet, but I believe that one has the arrows painted black..and I assume is also a TV version....would have been better to have painted the "Macross" version with yellow arrows so it could have been an "unoffcial" DYRL version....again, just a nitpick....I guess the "Robotech" version is an unofficial "anime" color DYRL version....

TBH...printing edition doesn't really interest me

Having been waiting for the new Mikimoto Character book for years....a few more months on the Tenjin book is not that long of wait...lol As for a reason? Maybe they accidentally got him to sign every copy of the book...

It's mine. I have actually been looking for one for decades. My assumption had always been that it must exist (along with a promo poster), but for the longest time it had eluded me. I'm guessing a combination of low initial print run and people/retailers just tossing them out has resulted in an extremely low survival rate. The hunt for the elusive promo poster continues....
