    As far as I can tell, this is just the same V 2.X...with less accessories and in a compact box....so not sure if this can be considered "improving things"... My question is...If they do eventually release an Angelbird, Alaska Base, Cavaliers, etc....will it only be offered in this small box w/o missiles and stand?

    Just get the limited edition Japanese release which includes the DYRL content and, for now, is being sold directly to customers outside of Japan...

    I think alot of Macross "fans" are still devotees of the franchise based solely on the evolving mecha designs from Mr. Kawamori and the continued world building and tech that each series brings with it....I personally have more or less stopped caring about the "plot/storylines" and just continue to enjoy the mecha and the mentioned world-building (evolving pilot uniforms, VFs, enemy mecha, etc) since M7...lol

    OK, now I'm concerned that my Limited Edition Macross - Shooting Insight games (which includes the DYRL content) may get blocked by HG from being sold by several of the Japanese retailers selling to non-Japanese customers...the biggest one being Amazon.Jp.....would HG have the cajones to call out Amazon on this? And if BW is being so careful as to placate HG by removing Minmay from the "International" game promo art....how could they possibly have missed the sale of the "limited edition" Macross -Shooting Insight with the DYRL content to non-Japanese customers? I hope that this means some kind of breakthrough has occurred in terms of the sale of DYRL merch....and not just some oversight on BW's part or perhaps it's just a game of "who blinks first"...LOL

    So far I PO'd the PS5 and Switch Limited Editions....want the Mikimoto clear file and the Settings Book... I hope that is not some Google Translate error and the "Limited" versions do come with the alternate Mikimoto boxart!

    So if this is how BW is appeasing HG....then how will there be other post-SDFM-DYRL media releases that reference anything SDFM? Macross Plus has the SDF-1 playing a key role at the end of the series.... Macross Zero has Roy Focker.... Macross II also has the SDF-1 playing a key role in its silly plot.... M7....has Max, Millia, Exedol....plus the VF-1J among other SDFM specific "IP".... Macross F and Delta also have SDFM mechs and characters... How stupid (or smart?) is HG going to get with it licensing claims?

    They probably stopped when the 1/72 line started.... The fact that you can only find the SD armor now on their site says they sold out of their SD VF-1 stock...so that's a good thing...hopefully they can bring it back once they finish off any remaining 1/72 VF-1 releases...

    As far as I know...this videogame release will be the first ever to include SDFM-DYRL characters and mecha released outside of Japan...in fact, it will be the first SDFM-DYRL merch ever released outside of Japan post BW-HG Deal.....why do I feel that things may not go as planned?

    If you follow the link provided by @sh9000 you will see the links to various other Japanese online retailers....the nice part is you can order based on what "freebie" you would like to have included....for me...I went for the po where I will get the Mikimoto A4 clear file and the settings materials book...you may need a proxy for some as I only checked the PO pages that were of interest to me....

    Thanks for the link...I had initially not noticed the url....read the PO options and looks like only one site will provide the new Mikimoto illustration on a freebie art card...so buying from there....also got the Amazon edition as it seems to have some settings materials artbook as well....

    Yeah...I referenced the same thing last month...is this company affiliated with Bandai someway?...some subsidiary company?... If not...it is sorta funny...imagine if they release some VF-1 Angelbirds skins with those gawdy Tenjin logos!

    It felt like I was watching a live action Jedi - Fallen Order movie... At this point, the "dark jedi" (or whatever new faction Lucasfilm will be calling non-Sith these days) are the only characters I found interesting and the revelation of the "witch" (again, Fallen Order type stuff).....it almost seems like the "padawan" character may end up having a change of heart before all of this is over.... Hope this doesn't become the Sabine show.....
