Thanks for that...I was about to toss out all of my incomplete trash 1/3000 SDF-1s!!! What a relief! However, don't tell me my 1/20000 SDF-1 figure that came with a Takatoku 1/3000 is FAKE!!!!

Yes, like the recent boxart book, the illustrations in this new Tenjin book are probably closer to the original sources...with color corrections, etc. when compared to the Macross Chronicle versions.... C'mon! This is SDFM/DYRL...so, of course, no one outside of Japan cares about it...at least as far as "BIC WEST" is concerned... I am sure there are plenty of details on the illustrations but I have no gotten that far yet with google translate....

Tenjin Deculture Edition VS Macross Chronicle Deculture'd... Chronicle'd... Deculture'd... Chronicle'd Deculture'd Chronicle'd Deculture'd Chronicle'd Basically....all of the images that are not crossing over into 2 pages are more or less Macross Chronicle sized. The larger images are awesome, but I feel it was a missed opportunity to have not utilized the "centerfold" approach... I also have the "standard" edition and it is certainly less impressive, but still worth getting if you don't want to shell out the extra cash for the deculture'd version...

Nope At the price...the Deculture version also should have used fold-outs instead of the awful two page spreads... Even Macross Chronicle used fold-outs...incidentally, much of the art from this book can be found in the issues of the Macross Chronicle...as fold-outs!.. Still...I think there are some HMR illustrations and Hasegawa boxart that are well printed as single pages....so if you think bigger is better....the book could be worth the extra expense...
