Incidentally, it's not even the first time book variants have been a thing....goes back to the This is Animation series with the re-issues containing different content... Most recently I recall the Zentran Edition of the VFMF's....I drew the line on those! I am not a fan of variants...

LOL... The entire Macross Merchandising Machine is based on variants....starting with the VF-1... ...and now they are forcing us into buying Deculture'd book variants!
